Hump Day Ramblings.....

• I want to make a trench coat this fall/winter.

• I want a denim pencil skirt.

• Freemotion on my first quilt might have been a mistake. This is a LOT of fabric surrounding my machine.

• I seem to be seeing a different side of you. Not sure how much I like it just yet. Gonna continue to watch.

• I have a doctors appointment this morning and I DO NOT WANT TO GO.

• I really don't feel like doing anything.

• I have a few books to read. I might do that.

• I seem to be having a case of crafting ADD. I can't get ANYTHING complete. Does that happen to ya'll?

• Sometimes I care TOO much. Gotta put some space between my heart and people.

• My mom already has the new Vogue's I want. *eyeroll* Why are they STILL not at Hancock!?

• As of right now, I don't have the black fabric I need for a skirt for NEXT weekend. Today is the 30th.

• My kids go back to school on the 12th. I.CAN.NOT.WAIT. lol

• Life isn't always rainbows and sunshine :) I'm glad my blog reflects that lol.

• My subscription to Creating Keepsakes FINALLY ran out. Thankfully!!!! I don't even look at it anymore. Tired of seeing the same folks lol. That's why I'm submitting again lol.

• If you sit back and watch, folks will tell on themselves EVERY SINGLE TIME.

• Im attracted to blogs with good pics....I'm looking at a ton of quilting blogs and if the pics don't look good then ummm I kinda click that red x lol. Must be the photographer in me.

• If you have to ask someone something MORE THAN TWICE....you are begging. Not a good look.

• A lady had a 2 week old baby out in the beauty supply store. TWO WEEKS OLD.

• Loving the free motion now....lol

• WOOHOO! Just got back from hancock with my mom and I got some GREAT fabric for a trench coat! I can wear it in the fall and spring! WOOHOO it's a pretty blue color...yummy!

• Just finished my quilt top and I'm HAPPY!!! Its 12:50am  August 3.

• OMG..its AUGUST! This year is FLYING by!!!

• My heart is STILL heavy. Ugh

• I hardly ever change my TV from Food Network lol. I think it's my favorite channel.

• My kids will NOT shut up!?!? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSAAAAAAAAAAAAA **rubs ears**

• I finished Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult IT WAS SO GOOD!!!

• I go grocery shopping tomorrow. WOOHOO.My house is BARE lol

• I don't THINK I'm going out this weekend...made all that hoopla about black fabric for a pencil skirt lol

• I have matched up fabric to patterns and the wardrobe committee has approved it lol.

• I have this new chocolate brown polish by Sephora by OPI and I can't wait to paint my nails with it! Well...can't wait to have the nail folks paint my nails with it lol.

Hump Day Ramblings....

• I think that if you are going to have an online business, you should NOT use your cell phone to take pics of your products. GHETTO. lol (unless your cell phone takes nice pics..)

• If you do not have a camera that takes pretty good pics...invest in a GOOD ONE. (You don't have to spend a fortune either)  Especially if you are going to use those said pictures to put on a website.

• If you don't want to invest in one..FIND A DAMN PHOTOGRAPHER. (just finished looking at a top someone made to SELL and the pics look like CRAP. wouldn't buy that at all because I can't see it. PET PEEVE)

• 7 hours in a car with kids. nothing else needs to be said.

• Why won't people treat you like THEY want to be treated!? I don't understand that. Makes me not want to do it either sometimes.

• Braids on lil girls are the best thing ever. SO glad Kayla loves hers lol.

• I'm ready to start sewing for fall. Have I mentioned that yet?

• I'm so in love with my blackberry its a shame lol.

• Why don't people just ask what they want to know? Why they try to beat around the bush when you KNOW they want something? LOL

• I love that I'm a planner. Makes things flow smooth for me.

• Sometimes when people leave your life, it's best to let them stay gone. There are exceptions for that rule of course...but not many.

• My hair will stay in a bun until September lol. Ok maybe not that long but its HOT and hair on my neck makes me HOTTER LOL.

• I hate being lied to. Especially when it's someone close to you. Worse feeling ever.

• What is the point of clear strap bras?! You can still see the straps! lol

• I saw an Altima and the personalized tag said "ALTIMA" LOL Ooooooook

• Men in speedos......you better have a swimmers body. That is all.

• I'm so glad I don't have to worry about trying to "TAN". Red and peeling is not the hotness.  I put on sunblock and STILL get dark. I love my browness! LOL

• I am currently having a "Bitch fuck you" moment.

• Kids 5 and older in a stroller, drinking milk from a bottle when its 100 degrees outside = FAIL....when they throw up on you because the milk soured on their stomach and YOU get mad...EPIC FAIL!!

• Got scared for a minute!!! Couldn't find my car charger...not the business on a 9 hour car ride lol

• Real friends are so rare. If you have one or two treasure them.

• I miss Patrick something awful.

• Jaelyn has a fever....it's 103 :-(

• Got a quote we can live with for our bathroom. That should be done soon...then the kitchen lol.

• I need a LBD for a party next weekend. Just got the invite TODAY...gotta go through my stash lol.

A LOT has been going on over here...I'm going to try to get you all up to speed lol.

My brother kept my kids for a few days in Atlanta, and Tony and I were home.....lawd...we were like kids lol. We stayed out on some kinda date just enjoying each other lol.

We even bought an icecream cake to celebrate being child free for a few days lol

In crafty news....

Of COURSE I have been sewing lol. I have scheduled a few reviews to post over the next few days. I am SO ready to sew for the fall!?!? OMG. I've already started planning lol.

I did some scrapping...I've done more but can't show those JUST yet...I'm submitting again :-)

I FINALLY started on my quilt. This is my first one ever so of course it will be simple. When batting goes on sale at Hancock again I'm going to get some and finish it up. I'm going to do MACHINE QUILTING on it myself lol. NOTHING by hand. NO MAAM!!

Lemme start off with a pic of my parents....

My mom loves Tany's blog and was inspired by a dress she made that had a braided trim....she added a braid to her jacket. I promise...she has been sewing like mad lately! Its AWESOME! She normally only collects fabric lol. She has been doing great! I'll have to post more of what she sews as she finishes stuff. She has been sewing all her life lol.

Speaking of sewing have you seen the new Fall McCall patterns? JUST BLAH. Nothing really jumped out at me at first glance. Moving on....

We went to Six Flags Saturday. IT WAS SO PAST HOT. JUST HOT. HOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT lol

• I've been cutting this dress out FOREVER lol. I hate cutting out fabric.

• Forever 21 has THE best cute little accessories. Clothes...not so much. For ME anyway. Gonna go get a pair of shades and some earrings.

• Making soap is SO fun! Thanks Patrice :-)

• I got a card in the mail that made me cry. It was so sweet.

• My kids are enjoying VBS. Two more days and its back to our schedule.

• I can't get AT&T DSL. OH WELL. Guess I have to stick with Charter. BOOOOOO!

• I am enjoying my Direct TV.

• I can't tell which side is the right side on this white on white seersucker. BOOOOO!

• I will be glad when Fall TV is back on lol.

• Right now I'm watching So you think you can dance. I like this show.

• She's Got The Look is gonna be GOOD!

• About to play Phase10 with Tony. Imma whoooppp hiissss assssssss lol. I hope lol.

• I lost the buttons for Jaelyn's dress.

• Almost an hour later.....I FOUND THEM!!!

• This is my first time not making a "childs" pattern for Jaelyn. She is SO tiny...size 4 is her friend :-)

• I am totally BEAT. I have ran ALL week (today is Friday lol) and I don't feel like going ANYWHERE.

• It is 8:16 am. I need to be out of the house at 8:30. I'm not dressed.

• SATURDAY....

• I hardly ever second guess myself but I'm really starting to wonder if I made the right decision of if I was just being petty.

• SUNDAY....

• I fried some chicken tonight. OMG it was SO good. I haven't had fried chicken in a GOOD while.

• I do NOT have a waffle maker!!!! I WANT a good Belgian waffle maker...you know like the ones in the hotels that cook in like 2 minutes...ummhmmm.

• WHY do people want you to be there for them, understand them and typically be a good friend but when the tables turn they don't give what they expect? (Did y'all see my facebook/twitter  update today? We had a good convo about that the other day)

• I've finished a series by Lutishia Lovely. VERY good. Now I need a biography or something to read lol.

• We are about to make brownies and icecream.

• Later this week we are going to make soft pretzels. Should be interesting lol.

• Sometimes you really ask for too much.

• I just cut out a pair of pants woohooo lol

• TUESDAY.....

• I FOUND A LOCAL SOAP MAKING SUPPLY STORE!!! My mom and I are going Friday morning! WOOHOOOO!!

• I want to make some cinnamon rolls. I've never made them. HMM might try that next week.

• My nerves have been bad all week. I feel on the verge of tears. just UGH lol

• I started organizing my patterns on flickr....WOW...I guess I love pattern sales! LOL

• I've been obsessing over something and I gotta stop lol. Seriously.

• I didn't do laundry for FOUR days. You can tell lol.

• I am still fully addicted to twitter lol.

• I got an email about an olympus point and shoot camera that I might order it lol. MIGHT lol

• Why is it as SOON as you pay one bill, you get another one lol. Don't bills take vacations!? LOL

• Something is wrong with the light in my laundry room lol. Gotta call the electrician.

• The kids told me they are glad I'm home with them for the summer. That made me smile.

• OH I didn't tell y'all my job wanted me to work evenings and weekends!? No maam!! My family comes first. Can't do that lol.

• The new early fall from Simplicity suck! They do have a pair of pants I'm going to make...OH and a jacket.

• OHHHH did y'all see the jumpsuit Tany made?!!? OMG, yep, I pulled out my pattern. Gotta make me one in black. Remember my OBSESSION!? LOL

• I need some ink for my all in one printer.

• I have 3 printers lol.

• I made red beans and rice and it was off the chains. Yummmmmmmmy.

Hump Day Ramblings.....

• WOW, it's been one month since Patrick died. Still feels like yesterday that Tony called me. Good Lord it still hurts.

• What works for me and my marriage/household might not work for you and yours, so why TRY and make me feel bad because you don't agree? Get a life.

• You can't tell everyone everything. I don't care WHO they are.

• Why can't you put the pattern back in the envelope the way it came out? They are like impossible to fold.

• Early mornings are my favorite.

• So are late nights lol.

• I think I'm loving widgets a WHOLE lot lol

• My kids have really been playing well together. Guess the sun and moon are perfectly aligned with my house lol.

• Jaelyn is back on punishment until I SAY SO. Yep. She messed up big time lol.

• I do things that I don't always want to do for those I love. Sometimes they don't see it as a sacrifice.

• I love setting my blog posts to post. I love typepad.

• I keep looking at the fabric that I need to cut out. I keep finding other stuff to do.

• I REALLY want to take a sock class! The new LYS near me is having one but I am not gonna be able to make it. I WILL take a sock class before the year is out.

• I just put a new blade on my rotary cutter. Ahhhhhhhh so wonderful lol. Nothing like a new blade and a new needle lol.

• My heart has been really heavy but I haven't said anything to anyone. Just kinda been spending time in prayer and dealing with it on my own.

• I can't seem to get started today. It's already 9:18am. Ugh.

• I am amazed at how thick my hair is sometimes. ESPECIALLY when I do it my self. ugh.

• I'm almost done with Kayla's dress. I'm glad she didn't pick pink lol.

• Jaelyn has these non-slip head bands that I LOVE. I need to buy her some more lol.

• A black cop car with blue letters is really hard to see at night.FYI.

• Some people will not say what they feel. Contrary to popular believe, some people really CAN handle the truth.

• Kayla has ALL my buttons on the floor looking for JUST the right ones......ALL MY BUTTONS.

• I have WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too much hair to try and flat iron before church. OH I let it air dry *eyeroll*

• I can't believe it is JUNE 1st. WOW.

• I cooked baked chicken and rice for dinner and Aj said he wanted me to cook another new food lol. HA! Spoiled much!? LOL Glad they like when I make new dishes. I just didn't feel like cooking lol.

• I have Direct Tv now and no more charter!!! I'm getting AT&T internet SOON like when this posts, I should have my new networking stuff all hooked up. NO MORE CHARTER!! YAYAYAYAY lol.

•  I can't WAIT until tomorrow!!! OMG TOMORROW! LOL

• I LOVE planning things. Like seriously. I'm already working on next year. YEAH I know tomorrow isn't promised but a plan is still good lol.

After we viewed his body, we all went out again....TO EAT...Keep in mind, the gathering at my house was on a Thursday, we viewed the body on a Friday lol.....

• Cookbooks without pictures are STUPID. Seriously. Got excited about a new cookbook and it doesn't have not NAN picture in it.

• Even if I am at home, I twitter and facebook from my blackberry lol. Just easier lol.

• My gravity feed iron AND the gallon of water that is three feet above it fell on my back today. Don't ask what I was doing. I won't tell.

• I am having an EXCELLENT mail week! LOVE getting stuff in the mail! LOL

• My kids love Alvin and the chimpmunks. I'm actually sick of them.

• I started following a bunch of local folks on twitter just to see what is going on around the city. So far so good. Might actually like this lol.

• I had a fit to get a foot spa, looked all over town and FINALLY found one. Haven't used it YET.

• 21 days as of today. WOOOOHOOOOOO. Can't wait to tell ya'll why Im counting down. Then I'll have TWO more countdowns to put up lol. Imma have a SUPERB summer. Oh I mean the family and I lol.

• I have gotten SO MUCH BETTER AT SAYING NO! y'all don't have a clue.

• I need to go buy a flower pot and some potting soil to replant this peace lilly that Patrick mom gave me. Im going to do my BEST to take care of it. Y'all know I don't do living green stuff in my house right?

• Did y'allk now crush is STILL alive!?

• I can not function without a list. I've been like a chicken with my head cut off ALL DAY LONG.

• Jaelyn got all her little privileges taken away. PROBABLY until school is out. She messed up BIG TIME. lol.

• I tried to re-open communication with someone who I felt did me wrong. You know giving them the benefit of the doubt. AGAIN. Age doesn't equal maturity. So oh well lol.

• He makes my heart do flip flops after all these years. I love him so much.

• I got some new bras and the chocolate colored one makes my back itch.

• Someone who normally isn't up on the weekends until after 10 called me at 7am. Scared the mess out of me but turns out I was just on their mind. awwwww love you :-)

• Ummmm, I do NOT feel like going to church today. I highly doubt if I go.

• The kids want to make chocolate chip cookies. Who makes a request like that at 8am? LOL OH, KIDS!

• Tony and I saw Wolverine last night. It was GOOD! LOVE HUGH JACKMAN!

• I'd rather be honest about whatever it is, than lie about it to make you feel better. Sorry. Life is too short.

• I am regretting my decision to start knitting this tank lol. Ummm yeah lol. I'm better than the pattern though lol. Oh wait...I haven't actually STARTED YET LOL

• Band Geeks is the episode that made me LOVE Sponge Bob lol. It's on now lol.

• My kids all got up this morning the FIRST time I told them. WOW. Maybe that's why its 40 outside this morning lol.

• As many pictures as I take, I don't take enough. I need to take one pic a month of each person in the house that is a serious pic. Not like SERIOUS SERIOUS, but one that is reflective of who they are. Just not a goofy picture.

• I need to work on my Bahama pictures. I think that will be a great project to start in the coming weeks.

• I don't know how I feel about this new typepad format. They are always changing stuff.

• Why is it that people with vanity plates that say stuff like QTPIE, or Cute1 always look a HOT mess!?

• I am LOVING my BB 8900.

• I have worked everyday for the past week and a half. Well except Saturday and Sunday. I feel like I have a REAL job lol.

• I took some tylenol pm the other day and just SLEPT. It was a good sleep.

• Aj went fishing with my dad and came back with a rash and a gazillion bug bites.

• I need a cleaning service to come in and help me catch up. I didn't do crap I didn't HAVE to do all last week.

• I slept SO late this morning. I gotta go to bed earlier.

• Tony is still sleeping but I refuse to wake him. He hasn't rested much at all.

• I am slacking concerning my kids summer plans. Gotta handle that TODAY.

• I am learning that I don't know how to grieve. AT ALL.

• All of a sudden my hours at work aren't "working out" ummmm hmmmm. Can't wait to see what comes of this.

• I was sick as a dog today...then Kayla threw up EVERYWHERE. ugh. SO Glad my closet door was closed and she didn't get my shoes.

• I cut out a pattern and balled up one of the pieces before I finished cutting it out. OOPS. Had to iron that bad boy.

• Kayla just threw up on the floor. UGH. Glad my fabric was out of the way.

• Just finished cutting out another dress and getting it ready to sew tomorrow. I am loving my wovens. Don't worry. SOMETHING in a knit has to come up soon lol.

• My mom left her gravity feed iron on for THREE DAYS. Said she forgot it was on O_o. Don't burn the house down Donna lol.

• Budget billing is GOOD during the winter months. Not so much during the summer.

• There is a BIG difference between a 36C and a 38B. I'm just sayin lol.

• Evernote  is my most favorite app on my phone ever. Well next to Viigo OHHHH and Uber Twitter is SUPERB!!! BETTER than twitterberry!!! lol

I figured I may as well answer them lol.

My Answers.....

I don't see anything wrong with shortcuts. I guess it just depends on what the shortcut is!?

I don't always cut out my notches when sewing. That is a shortcut to me lol.

I think making BWOF patterns make you think more. Their instructions or lack therof are awful lol.

My projects are NEVER perfect. I always see something (even if no one else can see it) that I could have done better. Anything that is NOT RIGHT , will make me rip out. I am SO TYPE A WHEN I AM SEWING LOL.

I think I am really good at sewing knits. I LOVE knits and I sew a LOT Of them.

I'm weak with buttonholes (strange right lol), welt pockets and HEMMING! I HATE TO HEM!!! I'm sure there are more things as I'm not perfect but I'm learning all the time.

I will make a TNT until I am just sick of it. It always looks different with different fabric.

Stash. I think everyone is different. What may be too much for me might not be too much for you. I've bought so much fabric in the last couple of weeks I don't have a DESIRE to buy anything else right now lol. That is SO subject to change lol.

I cut out a top and the fabric was folded under the pattern and i didn't know it lol. THAT was almost a disaster lol.

I don't dwell on my goof ups anymore lol. It's just fabric. I will toss it and move on lol.

I have a LOT of patterns and I'm always buying more. I want to catalog all the ones I have. I plan on doing that this summer.

My process....I pick my pattern first SOMETIMES I will pick my fabric first....cut out the pattern, cut out the fabric then sew lol. Simple.

I don't see ANYTHING wrong with being inspired by celebs or people in general. Inspiration is a great thing!

I LOVE honest feedback when it comes to my sewing. I'm trying to improve and I think that everyone knows and can see different things so I appreciate it. I'd rather someone be honest and tell me I look a hot mess than have me thinking I look superb in something that I've made that is jacked up lol.

She is moving back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so way beyond excited about this!!! Y'all already know Cathy and I have been friends since we were 10 lol. A LONG TIME!!! I'm so excited to have her back "home" :-)))))))))))))) This pic is SO old lol, but it's one of my favorites! What was I doing with my HAIR lol.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOMGGGGGGGGGGGG this thing is SO freaking amazing! The screen (no it is NOT touch screen) is AMAZING. THe camera has autofocus...OMG just SUPERB! • I am OBSESSING over this Jalie Jeans pattern. I have never made jeans but so many people have made these and they look FABULOUS I am going to try it myself!! HOPEFULLY they will come out alright lol.
• I freaking LOVE THIS SONG...and it's my ring tone on my phone lol. Whattttttt?!!!?

• This Verizon Hub Phone is so neat looking lol.

• The Price is Right is one of my favorite game shows. Followed by Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.

• I watch The Fugitive every time it comes on. EVERY TIME lol.

• I went somewhere Monday that had a TON of GTFOOH-ness. I was too scared to take pics lol. BAD side of town lol.

• I have been SOOOOOOOOOOOOO lazy last week and this week. Tony has been doing EVERYTHING around the house lol.

• Why do 2 and 3 year olds tell their parents what to do!? I don't understand that bullshit.

• My favorite shirt to wear around the house lately is the $9 sweatshirt I bought from Walgreens in New Orleans lol

• WHY is it that when I'm home all day, I never have to pee but as SOON as I get out I gotta use the bathroom?

• Jaelyn went in the store ALL ALONE to get some chips and  some juice for her lunch lol. She was all proud lol

• What would you do if you were sitting down and the person sitting next to you just bit you out of the blue? LOL you know....kinda like a love bite ;-)

• I've been working out my arms and they are SORE. SORE!!!

• I need a new ironing board cover.

• As of THIS moment. ALL my laundry is DONE lol. It is also Friday afternoon and NO one is home lol.

• Tmobile is still jacking up my bill. This time it was close to $1000 but ONLY because there is some kinda glitch in the system and they are charging for Jaelyn's text messages. They did so much adjusting my bill was only $28 lol. I paid it QUICKLY lol.

• I hate when I let my emotions get the best of me. I am stronger than my emotions. Well obviously not lol.

• Jaelyn went out with her BFF and came home around 12:24am. LOL yeah I was UP waiting. YES she was with other parents lol.

• She did NOT want to get up for Sunday school after being out late lol. YES she went lol.

• Did y'all parents tell you if you don't go to Church you don't go ANYWHERE!? LOL

• A LOT of folks at church had their hair in pony tails and needed haircuts. Getting ready to get their "Easter DO" and yes my kids were like that too lol.

• All of my crafting mojo is flowing at the same time and now I don't know if I want to scrap, bead, sew or knit! LOL

• Have y'all seen the new vogue patterns??? Ooookkk.

• I never fry french fries. I always bake them.

• I spent all of Friday and Saturday washing fabric for upcoming projects. I have a pile a mile high to cut now :-)

• Why is it when you get a package in the mail that is bigger than the mailbox, the mailman brings the big package to the door but puts the other mail in the mailbox?!

• Do you ever look at the time that email comes to your inbox and wonder why people aren't asleep!?!? LOL

• I haven't baked ANYTHING sweet in my house since the holidays and today Kayla said she wanted to make a cake. Yes she made one.

• I am FINALLY going to the post office today but only because I HAVE to at this point lol.

• I am on season FOUR of L Word....yep...totally addicted!

• Jaelyn put a fortune telling fish in my hand and it said i was in love lol

• We do NOT use bar soap in this house. Read this article . We did a case study when I was in nursing school and I haven't looked at bar soap since.

• Jaelyn wants a new digital camera. I think I'll get it for her before she gets out of school.

• I like my fries with ranch dressing and ketchup. SO good.

• I hardly ever drink sodas. If I'm out somewhere I might have a soda or a sweet tea....I just had an ice cold slushy pepsi and it was SO good! Hopefully the caffeine doesn't keep me awake tonight.

• I'm feeling the urge to read a good smutty novel. Any suggestions?

• I want a white dress.....just flowy and breezy lol. I have fabric but no ideas for the actual pattern yet lol.

• Jaelyn doesn't believe in ironing clothes, and WHAT is the point of ironing blue jeans?!! LOL Her words not mine lol.

• I let Jaelyn warm the car up in the mornings. She thinks she is doing something lol.

• Kayla could CARE LESS if her clothes match. As long as they smell like washing powder, she knows they are clean.

• For some reason, towels in my house get dirty VERY fast.

• I am SO FREAKING SERIOUSLY ADDICTED TO LWORD!!! I only watched a couple episodes here and there when it was on but NOW!?!? Goodness...I am  on season three.

• I am having sinus trouble for the first time in my life. I was on my ass the other day. HATE IT.

• I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IN THE MOTHERHOOD TOMORROW!! Virginia told me about this a while back and I loved watching online. Can't wait lol.

• I hate to see people smoking around kids. Idiots.

• We pulled up in my driveway the other night and I was scared shitless. I thought someone was in the house. It was my dressform.

• My children have an advocate. *ahem*

• I hate it when people say they haven't heard from you in a while. Ummm If you have their number, 9 times out of 10 they have yours too.

• I ADORE the reese peanut butter commercial with the bunny lol.

• I hate it when you are driving and as SOON as you come to the red light and stop it turns green.

• I found a new purse and wallet! yay me!

• I umm "misplaced" a pattern and the fabric I was going to make it out of. I have NO idea where it is.

• I don't have a drop of scrapping mojo.

• I do have knitting mojo out the wazoo, even though Im bored with my current project...

• Sewing mojo is getting there.

• I broke my two favorite baking dishes last week. I have to replace them. They were the perfect size for my large family. :-(

• Aj asked me if he could wear some cologne to school O_o

• Some days I feel like I could cry at the drop of a hat. Those are the days that I assume I would be on my cycle if I had one.

• Planning trips makes  me happy even if they are a little ways away lol.

• Project 36-what? LOL Yeah...that has gone by the wayside lol. I tried lol

• I am really starting to love these random posts. I've done them BEFORE but they are more fun now lol. It's really fun to read through them again lol.

• I used to hate buying tires. What I used to pay for one tire on my  Benz I can now buy a whole set Crazy huh? I do miss my car sometimes though. NOT the upkeep lol.

• I HATE when I have to merge on the interstate next to a 18 wheeler. UGH. I cringe and I want to close my eyes but I know I can't do that when driving. **heebe jeebies**

• HOT FRESH Krispy Kreme Donuts, four boxes of girl scout cookies and homemade pralines made it inside my house within THREE days of each other. Folks just trying to make sure I am not looking superbly fantastic in a few months. Umm hmm I see you. lol

• You can ask me questions ALL day long, but that doesn't mean I have to answer you.

• Sometimes it's hard for me to sit down and do NOTHING. I love to stay busy but sometimes you just have to sit yo azz down.

• Laundry is NEVER done in my house lol. As SOON as the basket is empty...it's time to do it all over again. I think I do laundry every couple of days. Once a week does NOT work over here.

• I am NOT perfect in all my crafts. I make mistakes. Bad pattern/fabric combo's. And just plain why in the WORLD did I make that. I'm learning. I'm no expert, I don't use or know ALL the technical terms when it comes to sewing nor do I pretend to.  Now PHOTOGRAPHY....we can get technical lol.

• Tony helped me do my hair the other day. It was so sweet  lol.

• Do ya'll watch Clean House!? I mean some of these houses are WOW lol.

• Running in Heels is great! I love reality tv!

• I hate going to the doctor and I still get nervous when it is checkup time. Cancer is a scary thing.

•  Fuck you. Sometimes I hate people. Not all people, but certain folks just make me sick. ugh.

• My filter doesn't work often anymore. I still try though. Sometimes.

• I used to have a HALO...not sure when I lost it but that bytch is GONE lol. Ohhhh wait. Now I remember lol. Neva mind lol.

• I seriously want the new Black Berry Curve 8900. Seriously. It's not time for an upgrade and I don't know if I want it bad enough to pay full price for it. I'm considering it though. My curve is in damn near new condition so I MIGHT sell it on ebay to offset the cost.

• WHY do schools have PTA meetings the SAME NIGHT? And start them at the SAME TIME!?!??! That makes NO sense. My kids are NOT all in the same school.

I fell in LOVE with oils when I went to visit Stacey last year. OMG...I ordered so much stuff from body shop (since we no longer have it here) and have since been trying new things.

They have SOOOOOO many good smelling oils!!! I have a lot of them, but I only get like the clean or semi fruity fragrances. NOT TOO FRUITY or it will make me sick on my stomach.

These candles and these oils work SO WELL TOGETHER!!!!!

I REFUSE to admit to how many of these candles I have since they are seasonal! LOL

Sewing Ramblings and a couple of reviews lol

• Organizing my sewing notions is a wonderful thing to do.
• I never need another piece of tracing paper lol. EVER.
• I have MORE than my fair share of FOE and have only used it once lol.
• I don't know WHAT I was planning on making that made me buy 5 boxes of extra large eyelets.
• I have YET to make my duvet cover and my curtains for my bedroom, kitchen and dining room. That will be done soon. I have had the fabric for almost two years, good thing I've showed you guys the fabric already lol.
• I obviously like to buy pretty buttons when they are on sale lol.
• I don't like to use bobbins that don't say Singer. Don't know why lol.
• I have 13 white invisible zippers, 3 black invisible zipper, 2 ivory invisible zippers, 5 all purpose zippers and 2 zippers for jeans. Yet I ALWAYS seem to buy one when I'm working on a project that calls for one lol.

Do I even need to do a review on this dress? LOL I've made it twice already lol HERE and HERE. My last fabric choice was less than desirable for this dress, but it is what it is...a lesson learned lol. I'm not above messing up good fabric lol.

I don't think I would sew this again but I highly recommend it. Conclusion: Pretty great wardrobe building pattern. I needed some new casual tops and this one fit the bill. • I just noticed that I have like 6 spools of red thread. I don't know why.

• When do I need to mail these invites out? My mom said a week before, I say two weeks...Like mail them them this week. Maybe Friday?
• I REALLY don't know what to get Jaelyn for her bday. She is a good child, does great in school, doesn't give me too many problems outside of a little "attitude". Hmmm
• OMG, I AM ABOUT TO HAVE A TEENAGER IN MY HOUSE. OMG. *WIPES TEARS*

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready to wear my heels and toes out!!! LOL

I went looking for a certain kind of shoe yesterday and saw this:

Not EVEN what I was looking for but, HOW FREAKING HOT IS THIS DAMN SHOE!?!? The store had it in nude. I was *THIS* close to getting it but decided to wait and HOPE that I could find it in black. I LOVE a nude shoe, and I have one or two?? lol  but I would get a TON more wear out of black. These babies will be here SOON! YAY!!

BCBG is normally my favorite shoe designer but I have been really disappointed with their stuff as of late.

While on the subject of shoes....I bought these boots a while back...got a REALLY good deal. My problem? I don't know what to wear them with. Now I think I dress pretty well but these light colored boots have me baffled. How should I wear these!? Should I have them dyed....like chocolate brown. Hmmm they are suede. Anyone have any experience with that? I might run them over to the shoe man today.

I took some pics inside the yarn store but they are on my other camera and it's upstairs so I will have to upload those later lol.

• Why is it that people continue to contact you when you have SPECIFICALLY asked that they not?

• I am 31 years old.  WHY are my cheeks breaking out?! UGH

• I am REALLY loving my job! Seriously! And I have the best hours ever lol. I've out shined some of the old heads there but hey, I have a great work ethic and I like things done the RIGHT way. Work SMARTER not harder lol.

• I still laugh when I think about Green Gable in the trash can lol. That was funny! I swear that yarn had bad juju lol. The pic I took was NOT internet friendly. Only those I trust got to see a pic of me in that lol. Nude bra and the flash from my camera?! LOL Not a good look lol. Everything don't belong on the WWW lol.

• I am SO IN LOVE WITH LOST THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!

• Bridewars was hilarious and I almost cried. ALMOST ;-)

• TAKEN IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.!! LIKE FANTASTIC GOOD!! SERIOUSLY! ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT GOOD!!!

• Notorious was pretty good. Tony said he didn't want to see it because they weren't telling the truth. It was a GOOD story lol.

Thankful.....

Today was one of those days where I was just thankful. I mean I'm thankful EVERYDAY but today some stuff just really hit close to home.....

• I have a home to live in that isn't about to go into foreclosure
• I have a healthy family
• We are a happy family (most of the time lol)
• We have a good meal everyday
• We have clothes to wear
• I have a  husband that does a wonderful job of providing and taking care of us
• I work because I want to, not because I have to
• I LOVE my job! SERIOUSLY!
• I have the greatest friends. EVER.
• I am
• thankful for my blackberry ( just keeping it real lol)

I could go on and on and on but I am just thankful!!

When I got to work yesterday THREE people lost their job. I mean they went to work with a job and left without one. I mean really.

WOW, what day is it!??!

Let's seee where do I start? LOL

I am going to do Project 365 this year lol. I started a new blog for it and you can follow that HERE if you would like. I still have to jazz it up a bit but I will do that a little bit later on. I'm going to do mine a LITTLE bit different soooooo lol. WIsh me luck with that lol.

I'm also doing Twitpic 365 with Patrice lol. I will PROBABLY use a lot of the same pics lol...just a warning lol.

Tony said his best Christmas gift was tickets to the Papa Johns.com Bowl Game NC State vs. Rutgers. The game was superb.

They said the game was packed and it was COLD. It was a part of Patrick's gift too...can't just buy one ticket...and I wasn't going lol.

Ya'll have to excuse Tony's head... *sigh* he is in the process of letting his hair "loc" so ummm yeah he KEEPS that stocking cap thing on it when he is out of the house. LAWD. I will be glad when this phase passes. I have been taking pics sooooo. I will post them soon one day lol. I don't have the very first twists but I do have the beginning of the loc process.

*DEEP SIGH* I went to Sips N Strokes the other night,  and did NOT enjoy myself. I have gone a lot as you all know, and I have NEVER not enjoyed myself. That CHANGED. The instructor SARAH whom I will make SURE I NEVER have again was AWFUL. THE ENTIRE CLASS WAS NOT PLEASED. What does that say?! YOU SUCK AS AN INSTRUCTOR!!!  The class ended at 9. When I left at 9:45 people were STILL trying to fix their paintings.  This was the best I could do with mine. The original picture looked something like this:

We had a blast on NYE. We went to a family party first...it was Michael Jackson themed lol....

The kids had a blast...there was a ton of food as it ALWAYS is with my family lol...we LOVE to eat lol. I don't know where Jaelyn was when we took this pic lol.

Hey guys! Happy Monday! LOL Not too much going on over here. Had a pretty good and quiet weekend. I had a migraine two days in a row so I didn't do too much of anything. Tony held down the fort.

Christmas is THIS WEEK. Can you believe it!?!? My kids are sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!! It's so fun to watch them lol.

I have not fired up my charcoal grill ALL YEAR LONG so we are going to BBQ for Christmas. Tony throws down on the grill. I will do some baking of course, but that is about it lol.

• A few weeks ago Aj told me he wanted to cut his eyelashes because they were long like girl eyelashes.....guess what I caught him almost about to do?? When kids get quiet...GO LOOKING...

• Kayla informed me that she doesn't want to take baton lessons anymore. She is ready to start her life as a cheerleader. *SMH*

• Aj kept asking me for apple pie cake. What he really meant was sweet potato pie...I have NO idea where that came from. (this was during Thanksgiving lol)

• Just because I say something on my blog doesn't mean it's about YOU.If what I say hits close to home, then check yourself lol. Don't send me stupid email lol

• Twitter is the most fun thing ever. Seriously addicting lol.

• I LOVE THE LIBRARY! Except when you go in the rain and think they are open and they aren't.

• Just because I will have a "drink" early in the day doesn't mean you have to. I wasn't asking you to have drinks with me anyway.

• I've started my "people" inventory. Will not be around foolishness or foolish people in 2009. NERP. If I stop communicating with you then ummm...yeah.

• I lost the bag with my Christmas Cards and labels in it. Along with my 4x4 bind it all clear covers. So I had to buy Christmas cards ugh.

• The kids had their Christmas Play yesterday and the part where the kids said speeches was HILARIOUS! LOL Kids are SO funny!

• The kids have been trying to peek at their Christmas presents. We do NOT do Santa.

• Last night Aj was counting presents under the tree and he kept loosing count. It was SOOOOO funny.

• Tony is enjoying his time off from work. He doesn't go back until after the 1st of the year. He purposely saved a BUNCH of vacation time lol. So far we haven't tried to kill each other lol.

Jaelyn told me she wanted to go outside to read her book because it was "quiet" lol.  She took her blanket and wrapped up on the bench to read. I decided to check on her since I hadn't seen her in while and had to run back in to grab my camera. I don't even think she knew I was there lol.

She is REALLY loving this series and does not want it to end lol.

~Typepad users....what is with this whole typekey crap!?!? I mean seriously. I do NOT like it. I don't want to sign in with a typekey. Me no likey. Hmmm. Guess I will email them and see if I have the option to NOT use it. I like the new platform which a lot of you have already had for a while but I'm just getting it...like last week maybe. It's cool...this typekey crap? NOT SO MUCH!.

~Are y'all about finished cooking?? I just took my LAST cake out of the oven. I am ready to go to bed lol. I still have a few things to cook tomorrow but I will get 'er done lol.

~Can someone tell me why Kayla falls ALL.THE.TIME!?!? We have had her checked out...her equilibrium is fine, nothing going on in her head...she is just CLUMSY. She fell down the stairs today....I think she only fell down 8 of the 15 *eyeroll* going to the family room downstairs....THEN she fell down the ladder (why does this look like it's spelled incorrectly!?!?) getting out of her bed to go to the bathroom. Any suggestions other than wrapping her in bubble tape?

~I have a LOT to do tomorrow and most of my morning will be spent away from home. Hmmm. Yeah.

~The kids are ready to put the Christmas Tree up. I don't even have all the stuff pulled out yet. SOME but not all.

~ I printed the labels for my Christmas cards. I will mail them them December 5th. YAY! Oh I still need to get our family picture taken! LOL...gotta do it before the 5th huh? lol

~ WHY do I have my pictures printed at other places when I have THREE printers at home?!? I sent some pics to SAMS to be printed and I HATE them. Seriously. I told them they looked like crap and I could do a better job printing them out at my house. I got them for free but won't even use them. 90 pics! I ordered a bunch of ink for my Picturemate today. NEVER again. I'll print them myself.

~I do not like Lu and Ronalyn anymore. They have hooked me on 24!!!!! I watched six episodes of season one and LOVE IT! I ordered season 1-6 from Amazon yesterday. Let's call it a belated birthday gift! LOL I need to watch that on something larger than my 15inch laptop screen lol

While I was painting, Tony took the kids to a festival at Church...he is such a good daddy :-)

Then I went on a Field Trip.....and came back with the COOTIES....I still feel like crap.

Fabric, Tags, and a travel wardrobe.

WHY is it October 1st!?!??! Have you guys finished up Christmas shopping yet? I have a couple things left to pick up for Aj and that is IT....we are DONE DONE DONE!! We always start early but this year seems like we are finishing up late.

Today was a busy day in my household lol. I am going through this really big purge/organization phase and I am SERIOUSLY purging. I decided to put some of my fabric on a book shelf so I could SEE it...well see...I have a LOT of fabric...and this isn't even all of it. Which is why I'm on a diet until the beginning of the year. I found stuff I forgot I had lol.

And just let me show you part of my knit shelf lol. The other knits are in a drawer lol.

I love knits SOOOOOOO much. I could seriously live in them.

I'm going on a trip in about a month and I've already started to think about what I want to wear. I need stuff that will be EASY to travel with.Doesn't have to be all matchy-matchy...just functional. I don't want to do a ton of ironing...lazy?? Yeah lol.

for my "night out" lol I'm also HOPING to wear this to a wedding on Saturday evening and ummm I haven't even started lol. I am torn between view A and B. I am going to use  black wool crepe.

I have this labeled as "mustard" but it doesn't look mustard...more like a burnt orange-y type color. It looks really good against my skin.

Lastly, I will make the jacket and pants from this pattern.

The jacket will be done in this wool jersey houndstooth. I fell in LOVE with this pattern when I saw it on a blog but can not remember who it was. I love the cut of the jacket. Relaxed but flattering.

The pants will be done in a solid black knit. Not wool jersey.

I think that will get it. I'm going jean shopping today (I really need some more) so throw in a couple pair of jeans...some fiya boots...and call it a day ;-)

Happy Sunday

Ever have so much to say you don't know where to start? That's how I feel right now.

Ya'll already know Aleida's death really messed me up. Her funeral was Friday and I read her obituary and was just sad again. Then I was happy that I was able to know her as well as I did. I remembered her laugh and how silly she was when we were on the phone lol. I was going through my email and found some that we recently shared. I marked them as important so they won't get deleted. I have our memories.

Stuff happens SO fast in life. I was on the phone with Stacey today when my mom called telling me about some new shoes she had just gotten from the galleria...not long after that I got word that she had been in an accident. She is fine but it could have been worse.

I've thought about the relationships I've had with SO CALLED friends. Life is too short for funny actin folks. I do not have time. I've learned a lot. I've had relationships that took a wrong turn because of mis-communication. I've had to go back and get some things straightened out. Those friendships that were REALLY true....you can work that stuff out.

Be sure to tell your people that you love them and appreciate them. Always. Don't take people for granted. They can quickly be taken away.

I guess I'm just rambling right now.

Anyway, I'm on a fabric diet until JAN 1 2009. I will NOT buy a single piece of fabric until then....

EXCEPTIONS lol because you KNOW there has to be some lol

Vacation fabric does NOT count lol.  I have one trip planned in a few weeks and I will of course visit a fabric store and bring something home lol. I will NOT however get any fabric when I go back to ATL in a couple weeks.... I WILL NOT GO IN GAIL K lol.

I CAN do this lol. I found a bag of fabric I forgot I had lol. Time for an intervention lol.

I think I have enough lining fabric so I won't have to buy that. Outside of notions I think I'm good. LOL we will see.

The other day, I was in the garage with my dad and I just started to get kinda weepy. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that my mom had been talking about my dads accident. July 15, 2003. Five years ago. WOW.  My dad told my mom he wondered what she would have been doing if he had died. Yes, he could have died. I realized it then, but the more I thought about it the other day, I was just overwhelmed with thankfulness. I am SUCH a daddy's girl. YES EVEN AT 30 lol.

I was watching him work with his brother (my dad is in the brown tshirt) and was just amazed at how far he has come. After being non weight bearing for SO long, having to do physical therapy for SO LONG...it's just good to see him active again. He is no where near as strong as he used to be, but he worked hard to regain his strength.  He has so much so much passion and loves to work. He sits down every now and then but he loves being busy. Think that's where I get it from? LOL

I turned my attention to Aj who was just in awe of what my dad was doing. I don't think he even blinked while he watched him. I was thankful all over again that my dad made it out of that accident. He does a lot with the kids, but especially AJ. Teaching him what he knows. The girls love to hang out with him and they will be the same way I was lol. My dad taught me early on about cars lol. I can change my oil and my tires if I need to. I can tell you what I THINK is wrong with a car even if I can't fix it. lol. I remember being a little girl and helping him at my uncles shop lol. Passing him the tools he asked for and helping him clean them off when it was time to go. My kids will get to have those same memories.

I'm happy my kids have my dad. Hopefully he will be around for a long, LONG time.

Ok, moving on lol.

I made the red velvet cake again for Tony the other day. He called home from work around 1-ish and begged me to make another one...

I forgot to take a pic of it once it was made...when I took this I had hands out ready for their slice. I don't know what it is about red velvet cake but folks pop up out of the woodworks lol. I sent most of it away. Might be two slices left lol. If you cut it small lol.

The person I got the recipe from doesn't want me to giveit out but I did try another one this time. I got it from The Comfort Table by Katie Lee Joel. This book is awesome btw. I plan on making some more stuff from it this coming week.

AND I found the recipe online! I wasn't sure if I could scan it right out of the book so this makes it even better. It's really good.

Grandmother Paul's Red Velvet Cake

I will say this. The first time I try a recipe, I make it exactly like it's written. The next time, I tweak it. This is VERY sweet. I think you can get away with way less sugar. I'll make it again with my changes but NOT until next year lol. I don't even think I'm doing red velvet for Christmas lol.I want to try a southern comfort cake.I've never had any (that I can remember) and I keep hearing rave reviews!!

Have you ever......

• Craved something to eat only to find that you didn't have it in the house ANYWHERE???
• Slipped up and said something you shouldn't have?? I REALLY need to try NOT to think out loud lol.
• Thrown something away that you REALLY needed and found yourself digging through the trash praying that it was still in there???
• Gone grocery shopping, get everything you need only to get to the checkout and realize you left your wallet at home??
• Been doing the laundry and the only dirty thing in the house was what you were wearing...so you take it off at the washer and throw it in ? LOL
• Lost something and literally ripped the house apart only to find it where it was supposed to be?
• Gotten out of the shower and forgot that you took up the bathroom rugs to wash them and busted yo azzz???? lol

That's been my week so far lol.
What else? Umm I've done some scrapping and a LITTLE sewing and planning my fall sewing, or trying too lol. Other than that I really don't feel like doing crap lol.

WHAT A DAY!!!!!!

Yesterday was A DAY. You know one of THOSE days....how about a list?

• Went to the Dr and my appointment that lasted WAY TOO LONG.
• Scared because I didn't like what they were telling me but everything is okay.
• I was ALMOST late going to the ribbon cutting ceremony at Scrap Etc ( YOU KNOW I LIKE TO BE 20minutes early) that is on time to me. I got there at 10:58....the ceremony started at 11:00. SO NOT MY FAULT.
• Jaelyn is clearly an alien child. We are so seriously bumping heads.

BUT....a little good happened ;-)

• Found the LAST bottle of OPI polish I wanted.
• Got the LAST bottle of my favorite wine (which is now gone) from World Market (I need to stock up....SERIOUSLY)
• Tony cooked dinner.

• Was interviewed by a local tv personality Chris Montana to talk about scrapbooking stuff...SO not expected lol

Until the kids go to school lol. I have NO idea what I am going to do my first day at home in the QUITE all by my self. Yep...Tomorrow they go to school. I'm SO excited about that lol. Oh, they are too lol

FINALLY I did my storyboard (again) for the Pattern Review Mini-Wardrobe Contest.

I'm actually kinda glad I had to start over. I'm also happy with these garments!!!.  I will also enter this jacket into the lined jacket contest...kill two birds with one stone lol (where does that saying come from)???

My colors are grey, denim, and white. I will accent with some bold colors...more than likely yellow lol.
The McCall's blouse will be white. I'm just not sure which white fabric I will use yet. I know I need something not too stiff with a good drape. I'll be in my stash looking for that when I get ready to make it.

GLAD I finally got that up! LOL I am loving the ruffles, and this won't be the last of them either lol. I want more ruffles..but not too many.

The only thing that could have made this salad better was darker leaves. When we had friends over Friday night, they didn't eat "dark" lettuce so I ran and bought some iceberg for them. I thought I had some more spinach or something left over but it was all gone. I had to settle. Humph.

Oh, I use a Strawberry Balsamic dressing by Maple Grove Farms that is TDF. I love this stuff.

While this is an EXTREMELY beautiful dress....it does NOT look good on me. SERIOUSLY. When I put it on for Tony he told me to take that shit off lol. I look like I was going to play football lol. NOT A GOOD LOOK. This type sleeve and neckline does NOTHING for me. 

Will I put it on for you guys? HELL NO lol. I look a hot mess...TRUST ME ON THAT ONE LOL.

I have not liked my last few sewing projects. AT ALL.  Do you guys go through that too? I mean I hardly ever read of something not working out for folks, so I guess they are just perfect sewers lol. Everything they make WORKS lol. That ain't me lol.

I started on my jacket M 5193 and it is going BEAUTIFULLY!!!  So I am hoping the bad sewing ju-ju is gone lol. I have to add the lining and I will be done. I did some topstitching and made it a LITTLE different from the pattern but I LOVE the changes I made!!!  I hope to review it on Monday.

Counting down the days until the kids get out of my house go to school. We are ALL very excited and VERY ready!!!

OH, look what I finally got in the mail. Thank goodness for kind, kind, friends that live on the other side of the water! Thank you so much Tany!!! I'm loving it!

I have still been going to the Dr's every couple of weeks, and when I went the other day, my iron was SOOOOO low. They gave me a new iron tablet and ummm it has made me break out so bad. UGH. Hate it, but I have to take them so oh well.

My first 5k is in a few short weeks and I'm so excited about it!! I was going through my mail yesterday and saw this:

I am SO signing up!! I never knew how much I would actually love running!!!  Tony said he will come with me to this one and bring the kids since it's also a fun run!!  So yay!!!!

I still haven't done my storyboard. I'm waiting on an OOP pattern that I ordered to come in the mail then I will post it. My colors will be grey, white, denim with yellow accessories. I'm going bead shopping so I can make a couple things to go with it.  YAY.

I am almost finished with Vogue 1056 so I will hopefully get a pic in it sometime today and post it tomorrow.

Back to normal....

This weekend was seriously all about Breaking Dawn. No spoilers here, but damn that book was all that I expected and more!!!

I don't know what happened to my video but it was no longer on my laptop so that was a no go lol. I'll look again and see if I can recover it so we will see if I can get it lol. Here are a few pictures..

My main focus today is to re-do my story board for the mini wardrobe contest. I MUST DO THAT TODAY so I can get started. I had already started on the vogue dress I wanted to make so I will finish that up and concentrate on getting my other garments together. TODAY lol. I MUST lol.

Ok...When Tony buys new work boots, they give him socks to go with them. Now he buys new boots every few months. I LOVE it when he gets new boots because these socks are the softest EVER. SERIOUSLY. They are so warm and squishy lol.  I get so excited when I see that boot box. LOL I know it's silly but it's the little things lol.

I have FORCED myself to put it down. It's just going WAY too fast. I do NOT want it to end. AT ALL.

I have to change my storyboard for the PR mini wardrobe contest. Seems I can't have five items lol. I will still make that entire set but after the contest. I will keep the vogue pants I wanted to make but I'm also going to add in a jacket and a different skirt and shirt. HOPEFULLY I will have a storyboard ready tomorrow or Monday.

Ok, that is it. Back to trying not to read this book. I'll stay in my studio for a while....the book is in my bedroom lol.

Let me make a confession.....my name is Adrienne and I am a box keeper. I was cleaning out a closet the other day (making space for my fabric lol) and I have SO many boxes. But not just ANY boxes...boxes that my sewing machines came out of...I still have the box my macbook came in...my cell phones..my cameras, lenses. I just didn't realize it...soooooo I decided to take them outside to our storage house...guess what was out there?!? MORE BOXES lol. I ended up breaking MOST of them down and putting them in the trash lol. I DID keep my sewing machine, camera and lens boxes in tact though. I did good lol.

While I'm confessing...I'm also addicted to knits:

And that's not even half of them lol. I SERIOUSLY love knits. WOW. lol

While I was going through my fabrics the other day I found this sweater knit:

I'm guessing I have about 2.5 yards. I have NO idea when I got this but I know I was with my mom because she has some too lol.  Any pattern suggestions? I THINK I have a couple in mind but I haven't pulled them out yet. I LOVE the colors in this.

Then while cleaning out the closet, I found this denim jacket that I no longer liked but I LOVED the buttons:

I took all the buttons off and saved them lol The jacket is LONG gone lol.

OMG...y'all know I love to go to the spa right? WELL I went to a different one yesterday and I LOVED IT....I've only been to one spa I didn't like though lol. Those of you local need to check out Fusion Spa. I had a facial, the cleopatra body treatment and a swedish massage. An afternoon of PURE BLISS. OMG. I wish I could go back today lol. So glad I didn't have to drive myself back home lol.

Didn't I tell you this was going to be a fantastic week!?!!?!

I mean come on!  I made some contacts yesterday that will mean fantastic things for my photography business. I could not be more thrilled. I had to call my two goodest - goodest girlfriends and let them know...we all squealed with delight!!! LOL When everything is final you KNOW I'll let you guys know!!

A friend of mine ( and I do NOT use the term friend loosely) asked me to meet her at Hancock yesterday. I had to go to whole foods anyway so I went on over.  She gave me a BOX of the new patterns I wanted and a gift card to Hancock!!!. We had just casually talked about the new patterns and what we liked. Had no clue she planned on getting them for me. How freaking nice was that?!?! I was totally blown away. I just thought she wanted to look at fabric together lol.

I tell you the kindness of people never ceases to amaze me. I've met some wonderful, wonderful people online and IRL and it's just awesome.

Stuff and another pattern review lol

So I'm finally getting around to my weekend wrap up...well kinda lol.  We went over my Uncle's house for the 4th (Food was eeeeeeeeeerrryyyyyyyyyy where) and so were people lol. I love my family...we sure do have some nuts lol.

I just really appreciate it. I've told her already but still....she needs a little praise lol. So thanks again Robin!!!

Now I forgot to mention to you guys that I got rid of my Dash... You know the phone I loved...well it started acting up and I just don't have the time for that lol, so I got a shadow....

Welllllllll I HATED it...why?? Because it does NOT have a full  QWERTY keyboard. OMG...I hated all that tap tap tap when texting . OMG. HATED IT...so I bought a new one and it came yesterday woo hoo....

SO far I LOVE It...now some of the functions are umm different lol. I was on the phone last night and ummm did NOT know how to take her off hold lol. I just called her back lol. *note to self, look that up lol* It does WAY more than my dash or my shadow did...I'll keep you posted lol.

Yesterday was CRAZY lol. Me and all three of the kids had dentist appointments....starting at 8:30.  Aj told me he didn't feel good but I was assuming it was because he was tired. Welllllllllllllllll looks like I should have listened because  while I was signing all of us in, he threw up all over the waiting room lol.  The staff there is AWESOME.  He seemed to be feeling better once it was all up so the staff watched him while the girls and I got our teeth cleaned. He was okay but still kinda tired so he slept most of the day. WELL around 8ish I was on the phone  when he started throwing up again...ugh. BUT after that he was UP, AWAKE and ready to play.Figures lol.

Zanete and Kellie came over yesterday and we had a good time. I had to hem a dress for Zanete and I wanted her to curl my hair lol...

Yes I was still sewing lol...

She did a good job lol...thank you Zanete :-)

I put her to work too since she was SO crazy about me wearing the dress I couldn't find lol.

She had to cut out the ties/straps for my dress lol.  Too funny. I still don't know where my dress is lol. But it is coming together quickly. I HOPE to finish it sometime this morning. I have a beautiful red silk jersey that has been in my stash for some time now. It feels soooooo good.

They went CRAZY when they saw these shirts lol. They thought they were THE coolest thing lol.  I remember having one YEARS ago lol.  And yes, Aj has vampire teeth lol.
