Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I didn't like that you had to stretch the facing to fit. Next time I
make it, I will make the facing longer and not stretch it like the
directions say. It made it ripple in the front and I don't like that.
Fabric Used:
Ponte Roma Knit from Hancock
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I WILL make this again!!! I highly recommend the pattern.
Conclusion:
This is a great pattern! I needed some new loungewear for a trip (great
for airports) and it will be great when the weather cools off here and
I need more coverage for my morning walks.
OOPS! LOL didn't realize my necklace was over my collar like that lol. I'll have to update this with a different picture later on lol.
That's it for today lol. I have four more reviews to type up and one WIP lol. I have had no mojo to blog about my sewing projects lol

I plan on making this SEVERAL times over! I LOVE them! The fit is fantastic!!!
Here are the pants flat...
Hook and eye closure...
Inside. I LOVE the way they had you finish off the inside. I've not made pants that used bias tape that way, nor was I aware of it but I will always do this on the inside of my pants now.
Outside pocket...
Inside pocket...still using that left over seersucker lol.
Here is a close up of the pants on me. I need to do a pic like this with my jeans too. Well all the pants I make, but they all fit like this lol. I LOVE the wide waistband. LOVE IT! I will make these several times over. I LOVE THEM!

Fabric Used:
Silk Chiffon
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I doubt if I will make this one again but I highly recommend it.
Since I'm not very familiar with french seams I pulled out my copy of Cool Couture by Kenneth D. King to walk me through the process lol.
I love the way it turned out!
The neck...
Neck binding... I glanced at the guide sheet long enough to see that they wanted me to just encase the neckline inside the bias tape and sew it down....umm NO. That would look odd, so I did it my way and I'm pleased!
I used my treasured rolled hem foot for the hems lol. LOVE that thing!!
I LOVED working with this fabric! It wasn't bad AT ALL. Making those jeans REALLY gave me some confidence because I just jumped right in with this top! LOL I feel like I can make anything now lol.

I think I could have easily gone down a size. I made the medium and
it's a little more roomy than I thought it would be but I really,
REALLY like it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I normally don't wear hoodies/pullovers like this, but I LOVE this one.
I doubt if I would sew it again, but I do recommend it if you like this
style.
Here is a back view
Conclusion:
Great pattern for a really casual look.
OMG! When I first started sewing I ALWAYS said, I would NEVER sew jeans. I SOOOOOOOOOO take that back. I LOVE this pattern! I now know why EVERYBODY raves about it! Add me to that number!!! I am SO pleased with my very first pair of jeans!!

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
This was my first time working with this pattern company so I followed
the directions to the "T". They were SUPERB! I didn't follow them for
the zipper insertion, I used Sandra Betzina's method. It works for me
lol.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I LOVE how close this pattern is to RTW Jeans!!
Fabric Used:
Stretch Denim from Fabric.com
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
ANYTIME I want a pair of jeans, I will make these! I see what all the
rave was about. I actually can't WAIT to make them again! LOL
Conclusion:
SUPERB PATTERN!!
Here are some additional pics....
I found this really cute button at Michael's.
I had a pair of my jeans right next to me and did the stitching exactly like those jeans lol.
I didn't have any plain fabric for the pockets, so I used some leftover seersucker. Still did a great job, no additional bulk.
Instead of doing double topstitching on the inside leg, I did it JUST like the jeans I had next to me lol.
I'm SO proud ya'll lol.
I couldn't decide on a pocket design, so I just left it plain lol.
The only thing I REALLY didn't like was the color topstitch thread I used. I thought it was "too gold" for the color denim I used. I've already ordered what I will use next time.
Instead of using denim thread in the bobbin, I just used regular thread. I read a LOT of horror stories about folks machine messing up lol. Learn from the mistakes of others right? LOL
I'm SO glad it's Friday!!!!
Y'all remember this??? LOL
**Sings...what I need from you is Understanddddddddddddddinggggggggg** lol
Anyway I am good for making sewing plans lol. Remember these spring and summer plans? HA! A few of those things got made, but I kinda just did my own thing lol.
Now it's time to plan again lol, except this time I have a reason lol. Getting ready to do some traveling and of course, I need some new additions to my wardrobe lol ;)
First, I need a jacket...seasons are changing...well getting ready to lol.
You can click on all the fabric pics to make them larger and see more detail.
I *heart* this fabric. It's a wool tweed and it is GORGEOUS. I swear this picture does it NO justice. I bought it early this summer and I'm SO glad I did. I ALMOST walked away from it. It was back in the clearance section for 60% off of $9.99. When Hancock started putting our their fall fabrics, they took this from the back and put it on the front with the wools for $12.99 or $9.99 a yard. I did GOOD lol. Oh, I'm making the long sleeve view.
I made what four pair of shorts/capri pants this summer and I am no longer scared to make pants lol. I don't know why I was scared anyway lol. Just do it right? LOL. Well I will make the Simplicity 2700 in a light weight denim (yall know thats my most favorite fabric EVER lol) and the Butterick top in the silk chiffon that I got last year from Gail K Fabrics.I've never worked with chiffon because I have been very, very afraid of it. I'm gonna jump right in lol.
I have had this pattern *FOREVER* I don't know if you can see the color of the darker fabric. I *think* it's a cotton blend twill. I label my fabric when I buy it now and I didn't do that when I purchased this. It's an olive color and the yellow really works well with it.
I have really fallen in love with Kwik Sew patterns. Their directions are SO good. Y'all know I follow directions to the "T" when needed lol. For the KS pattern I'm making the hoodie version. I'm still undecided if I will add the front pocket or not...we will see lol.
I am FINALLY about to make my first pair of jeans. I swore up and down when I first started sewing that I would make everything except my jeans lol. HA! Guess I'm eating crow lol. Everyone that has made this pattern has had a fab pair of jeans. I hope my pair isn't the first messed up pair lol.
*gasp* I'm making a "track suit" LOL I know you can't believe it right? LOL Well I wanna be comfy when I fly and still look cute lol. I'mma ROCK THIS! LOL. Anyway, this is one of Hancock's new knits. I can NOT remember the name of it, but I THINK it starts with a P. I'll find out when I go back in there lol.
IF Hancock has the new Butterick patterns out in time for me to make this dress, I will make it. I LOVE this fabric! It's a silk cotton satin that I got from Fashionista Fabrics when I won the Pattern Review Mini Wardrobe Contest last year (I won a GC from them, yep still happy about that lol).
The pattern actually calls for a knit BUT this fabric has a little give in it. I don't know. I'm going to make a muslin first, but I think this will be fierce as a LBD. Put on the right accessories and some FIYA shoes that I ALREADY OWN!?!? HA! baaaaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbby.
