Hey guys!!
I told y'all here about the things I was obsessing over. Printed pants was one of those things. I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with them.
I've had this fabric for a while now. I picked it up from one of my many trips to Gail K Fabrics in Atlanta
It's no secret how much I love this place. I stop by every single time I'm in Atlanta, which is quite often lol
I almost ALWAYS have on something that I've made when I leave the house. Almost always. In my line of "work" (still kinda hard to call it work because I love it so much) when I meet with potential clients, I truly am my best form of advertisement and I can be as creative with my clothing and accessories as I want to be. Getting dressed is FUN lol
These pants are easy to dress up or down. I decided to dress these up just a little bit with my favorite Zara red pumps and a classic white button down but I added my gold mirror belt to define my waist a little. I like that much better than a "normal" belt lol.
Excuse the wrinkles on the front. I was in the most awkard position trying to hold up the front and back of my shirt at the same time without exposing myself to my neighbors that were watching my photo shoot lol.
The fit on these pants is PERFECT. That is one of the joys of custom tailoring. I don't have issues with the way things fit. It's a win- win situation for me. I wear something that everyone doesn't have and the fit is perfect lol.
Since I wore a bold belt, I kept the rest of my accessories pretty simple. I dont' ever want to walk out of the house looking like I'm doing the most lol.
For those of you that sew, here is a review:
Pattern Sizing: 6-16
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
YES!
Were the instructions easy to follow? I glanced over them just for this review and they are very straight forward.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love everything about this pattern.
Fabric Used: Heavy stretch cotton twill
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didnt' like the little "V" dip thingy in the front so I didn't sew that lol.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I plan on making this one again...and again and again and...well you get the point lol. I HIGHLY recommend this pattern.
Conclusion: If you like this style, grab this pattern!
Love it !!

The pants look great, LOVE the print! Do you ever make muslins first or do you tend to sew straight out the envelope? I'm getting ready to get serious about making pants, but I rarely make a true muslin, more of a 'wearable (or not)' to see how it looks in some cheaper fabric. I'm impatient and like results fast, LOL.

Thank you!
I hardly ever make a muslin for myself. If I do it's because it's a style I normally don't wear OR because I have some super expensive fabric I don't want to mess up. I normally can just sew straight out of the envelope with very little adjustments if any. I think it's a great thing lol.
