Gucci Inspired Dress (Burda 7065)...A Review

Hey Y'all!!! Let's talk! LOL

I saw this dress on Style.com When Gucci showcased their pre fall collection.  I was INSTANTLY in love.

I mean look at it. What's NOT to love. It's absolutely FABULOUS.

When I was thinking about the type of fabric I wanted to use, I knew I would use a rayon jersey that I had in my evergrowing fabric stash. I could already see myself wearing this dress and knew exactly how I would style it.

I decided to go with gold and bronze accessories.

I stacked my favorite gold bracelets and with with a simple gold/diamond stud earrings.I also wore my favorite gold plate belt. I totally forgot I even had this belt until a friend of mine asked me if I owned one lol. I got REAL excited when I realized I had one lol.

You can see my shoe peeking out just a tad. I love mixing metals and this was a great way to do it.

I've had these shoes a while and I STILL love them.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

YES!
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were pretty straight foward until you get to the neck. I didn't follow them at ALL then. I just did my own thing and made it work lol.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved that the pattern was spot on to my inspiration dress.


Fabric Used: Rayon Jersey


Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:  I didn't want the keyhole so I sewed it up. I also made it way longer. I didn't measure the added length at all. I made it long and then hemmed it according to the shoes I was going to wear.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I doubt if I will make this again but if you like this style go for it!


Conclusion:GREAT pattern. If you like it grab it!
