Ok so last week I went to NY. I told Toy about it when I first saw I would have a little free time coming up. The planning started INSTANTLY lol
I haven't seen Toy since she came to visit me WAY BACK IN 2006 (even though we talk every day) lol. You can read about it HERE and HERE
Here is a video and mannnn lol. Yeah we had a blast lol
Here are some more pics:
I wasn't SUPPOSED to take pictures in here but the security guard told me I could take some pics REAL quick lol. He was super nice lol.
Can you believe that glass slipper!? AMAZING. I want some lol
This picture sums it all up lol. I've seen this button pic on SO many blogs lol. Now there is one on MY blog lol
I LOVED going to Metro Textiles and meeting Kashi. I've heard so much about him and his store over the years it was a TREAT to finally be able to shop there. I had my list ready and I showed him pictures of all the patterns I wanted to make and he "created several problems" for me lol. His fabric selection is AMAZING. The quality of his fabrics is AMAZING. I'm already ready to go again lol.
I saw this in MOOD FABRICS and I was in LOVE. So sparkly!! LOL
Another thing I enjoyed about Mood was the fact I could touch some of the fabrics I've seen online. My wish list for Mood just got a TAD bit longer. I may treat myself soon lol
Fabric stores were everywhere lol
She was FAB catching her taxi lol
First time riding the subway!!! I loved it lol
I loved seeing fresh flowers on every corner.
The parking is INSANE.
This was the HIGHLIGHT of the trip. Better than all the sight seeing, fabric shopping, shopping period lol. Toy and I went to Brooklyn to meet with her Aunt, brother and dad. LET ME TELL YOU. This was THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE and y'all KNOW I love to eat lol.
They are ALL from Trinidad so their accent was T H I C K. It was so funny. It took me a few minutes but I was able to catch on to convo lol. I thought I talk fast. THEY TALK FAST lol. It was a night full of laughter, food and fun. Her dad took the cake when he started dancing lol. It was so funny. I felt right at home.
Ok that's it. I can't wait to go back again. I'll have to post the pics of my fabrics tomorrow. This has gotten LONG enough lol.
Toodles!
Loved seeing you and Toy together again! Loved every single one of these pictures. Thanks for sharing! :)

I am happy to hear you had a wonderful time. And I agree the best part of your trip was sitting down with friends and family and enjoying a fabulous home cook meal. Delicious!
