One can never have enough white blouses...right!? I needed a simple plain white blouse. This pattern really fit the bill. I will def make this one again, and with ruffles.
Pattern Description:
MISSES' SHIRT: Shirts A, B, C, D have front band, collar, collar band and sleeve variations. A: self-double ruffles and cuff with slit. B: flounce, front and back darts. B, C, D: gathered sleeves with continuous lap and cuff. C: front panel with tucks. D: front and back darts, ribbon sash.
I made view A without the ruffle.
Pattern Sizing:8-14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
YES!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes very simple. I love the instructions for the collar/collar stand.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This pattern is very well drafted. Nothing to dislike.
Fabric Used:
White Shirt Cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None, but next time I will lengthen it and add darts to it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I plan on making this again with the ruffles. I almost want to make another white one with the ruffle lol.
Conclusion:
Great basic shirt pattern. I plan on making this one a few times.
Here are some additional pictures:

I need a white shirt, but wasn't very enthusiastic about it. But, after seeing yours, I'm moving it up on the list! It looks great.

I love the white blouse, and also love the two dresses you made the other day, just did not get a chance to mention it. Boy, you were not kidding about the sewing mojo, lol.

Nope can never have enough white tops..never. Cute, clean and crisp top.
Okay, is it beginner easy or just easy for someone that knows exactly what they are doing?

i am sooooooooooooooo glad I found your blog. I got a sewing machine for holiday and have been dying to figure out how to use it. I love all of the stuff you've made, I noticed we have alot of the same taste in patterns. I will be adding you to my daily reader.

We have so many of the same patterns. I was just looking at this one this morning. I love white blouses and "No" you can never have to many because they never start while long enough. BTW I had my first scrapbooking class today. Yipeee. I went right out and bought some stuff to try a few pages on my own. I also bought a Cricut. I think I'm hooked already!

Pretty Blouse and cool that you can sew buttons using your machine. Now I'm curious if I have that feature on mine.

I need a white blouse, too. This one is lovely and your work is perfect. I've never machine sewn a button before and I guess I'm too scared to try.

I love that blouse - I envy those who wear white! Anytime I wear anything white I spill coffee on it. smh
OOOOh I'm so glad I read this post I *just* tried this feature on my machine sewing my raincoat buttons back on (for shame, it was 4 of them) and I feel the same way! No more handsewing buttons!!!!

It turned out great! The cuffs look extra professional. Good to know, on the machine sewing for the buttons - I have never tried that feature myself and now I must!
