Have you guys seen Julie and Julia?
Seriously. I loved it. I loved how she cooked her way though Julia Child's Cookbook. Enter my current obsession with The Pioneer Woman lol.
I am so obsessed. Smitten. Just whatever you want to call it. Jocking, just WHATEVER lol. Adrienne LOVES THE PIONEER WOMAN. I am SO not afraid to admit it lol.
Since I LOVE to cook and my family LOVES to eat and try new foods. I'm gonna cook my way though her website/cookbook lol.
NOW...I don't know how often I will try the recipes, and there are some things I KNOW I don't want to try because I know my family won't eat it but you best believe I will be trying a LOT of them lol.
I'm no chef...just a woman who loves to be in the kitchen. I don't do a lot of fancy dishes, always cook healthy and I might not always use gourmet cheese but just like with everything else I do, I put my heart into it.
So yeah, all of that to say I'm gonna post more recipes lol.
First one coming soon! LOL
Toodles!
I also love to cook. I saw Julie and Julia. LOVED it. Awesome movie. I look forward to seeing what you cook up.

I love to cook too. Although, my cooking is really driven by what cool gadget I get to use. I found the movie inspiring and Ree is hilarious. Both the book and the movie are on my wishlist.

I just saw the movie on Friday. I loved it. And I'd love to see your attempts at cooking. I'm sure you'll do well.

Haven't seen the movie but I am cooking more these days too so share those recipes and let us know what you think when you make 'em!

I saw the movie when it first came out in August and enjoyed it. Although, I loved Meryl Streep as Julia Child (she was Julia Child). After leaving the movie theater, I went to bookstore and purchased the Mastering the Art of French Cooking and Julie's memoir. The memoir is funnier than the Julie we see on screen. There is another blog I like to read called Chocolate and Zucchini which is in French and English.

Haven't seen the movie, but I enjoyed the book. I hear you on falling in love with a cookbook. I'm obsessed with Ad Hoc at Home right now and plan to slowly make my way through a good chunk of it. My husband is thrilled, as I'm sure your family is, as well. :)

I too adore the Pioneer Woman recipes. YUMMY! I have started cooking a bit more and am so enjoying the process, of course I don't get anything else done.;)

I listened to the audiobook first, then saw the movie - the "Julie" character is much sweeter in the movie than she is in the book (but she's funnier in the book.) I also read the followup book, "Cleaving" about her adventures in butchering, and didn't like it as well.

I didn't see the movie yet but I read the book awhile ago. I'm hoping to catch the movie on a pajama day. You KNOW I LOVE the Pioneer Woman too!!! I'm doing the Potatoes au gratin tonight. After I saw you made the white chili last week, I HAD to test it out myself on Sunday and LOVED it. Her chocolate sheet cake recipe is a keeper too!

I loved the movie too. Just saw it this past weekend. What a good idea to challenge yourself to a Julie Julia challenge. I may do the same, but first I have to find a cookbook or website that has vegan recipes. I may have to do a hodgepodge.

I've heard of this cookbook and based on your recommendations I'll definitely have to check it out! Thanks.

I was already a fan..and then I saw her on the Bonnie Hunt show...I became really really smitten with her when I read "From Black Heels to Tractor Wheels" on her site. I planned to make one of recipes at least once a month. So far only the Monkey Muffins and the Chicken Spaghetti. The man of the house requests the Monkey Muffins at least once a week...lol

I just saw the movie last week, after a friend raved about so much. My family use to call me Julia when I was growing up♥

I like to cook, but go through phases. I haven't seen that movie, but I think I will check to see if it's on pay per view now.

I saw Julie and Julia the first day of its release. I was the youngest person in the theater! It was fabulous!

I can't wait to see Julie and Julia! :D

I love Julie and Julia too. I read the book first and loved her sarcasm... this is a girl I could totally relate to - meltdowns and all. I liked the movie just as much as the book (which is a rare occurence for me).
BTW keep up the great work on your blog, I always love to check in and see what you're up to (either in the kitchen or at your sewing machine).

I just watched Julie and Julia last weekend! It's the most fun and perfect movie! I loved it as well.

LOVED that movie, just saw it a couple weekends ago. Then last week I was hunting for something from Amazon and somehow ended up buying The Pioneer Woman cookbook and preordered Rocco DiSpirito's new cookbook too! I like to cook but working full-time doesn't give me enough time to make this stuff during the week usually. I love seeing your recipes when you post them, and my kids still love your potato soup recipe!!
