I'm SO glad it's Friday!!!! Y'all remember this??? LOL **Sings...what I need from you is Understanddddddddddddddinggggggggg** lol
Anyway I am good for making sewing plans lol. Remember these spring and summer plans? HA! A few of those things got made, but I kinda just did my own thing lol.
Now it's time to plan again lol, except this time I have a reason lol. Getting ready to do some traveling and of course, I need some new additions to my wardrobe lol ;)
First, I need a jacket...seasons are changing...well getting ready to lol.
You can click on all the fabric pics to make them larger and see more detail.
I *heart* this fabric. It's a wool tweed and it is GORGEOUS. I swear this picture does it NO justice. I bought it early this summer and I'm SO glad I did. I ALMOST walked away from it. It was back in the clearance section for 60% off of $9.99. When Hancock started putting our their fall fabrics, they took this from the back and put it on the front with the wools for $12.99 or $9.99 a yard. I did GOOD lol. Oh, I'm making the long sleeve view.
Simplicity 2700 and Butterick 5355 View C
I made what four pair of shorts/capri pants this summer and I am no longer scared to make pants lol. I don't know why I was scared anyway lol. Just do it right? LOL. Well I will make the Simplicity 2700 in a light weight denim (yall know thats my most favorite fabric EVER lol) and the Butterick top in the silk chiffon that I got last year from Gail K Fabrics.I've never worked with chiffon because I have been very, very afraid of it. I'm gonna jump right in lol.
I have had this pattern *FOREVER* I don't know if you can see the color of the darker fabric. I *think* it's a cotton blend twill. I label my fabric when I buy it now and I didn't do that when I purchased this. It's an olive color and the yellow really works well with it.
I have really fallen in love with Kwik Sew patterns. Their directions are SO good. Y'all know I follow directions to the "T" when needed lol. For the KS pattern I'm making the hoodie version. I'm still undecided if I will add the front pocket or not...we will see lol.
I am FINALLY about to make my first pair of jeans. I swore up and down when I first started sewing that I would make everything except my jeans lol. HA! Guess I'm eating crow lol. Everyone that has made this pattern has had a fab pair of jeans. I hope my pair isn't the first messed up pair lol.
*gasp* I'm making a "track suit" LOL I know you can't believe it right? LOL Well I wanna be comfy when I fly and still look cute lol. I'mma ROCK THIS! LOL. Anyway, this is one of Hancock's new knits. I can NOT remember the name of it, but I THINK it starts with a P. I'll find out when I go back in there lol.
IF Hancock has the new Butterick patterns out in time for me to make this dress, I will make it. I LOVE this fabric! It's a silk cotton satin that I got from Fashionista Fabrics when I won the Pattern Review Mini Wardrobe Contest last year (I won a GC from them, yep still happy about that lol).
The pattern actually calls for a knit BUT this fabric has a little give in it. I don't know. I'm going to make a muslin first, but I think this will be fierce as a LBD. Put on the right accessories and some FIYA shoes that I ALREADY OWN!?!? HA! baaaaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbby.
Ok, I'm excited! LOL
That's all I have y'all!
Have a GREAT weekend and be safe!!
Toodles!
Wow, Adrienne, that is a great wardrobe you are going to put together. How much time did you plan for all of this? Goodluck, can't wait to see what it will all look like!

Great patterns, beautiful fabrics and I have no doubt the outfits will all be lovely (or else we won't see them, lol). Have a blessed weekend.

Oh Hey! The short sleeve Runway jacket is what's up next for me. It's what I was asking you about the microsuede for a while back. I got this cheap Walmart stuff (that I'm not even sure is microsuede) to sew my first version on, so I'm not going to dry clean it like you said. I may regret my stubborn ways, but we'll see, lol. I'm going to make the long sleeve one too. Maybe I can find a powder blue wool.
I love the new heading pic.

Guuurrrlll, if you'd have passed up that fabric for 60% off $9.99, I'd have had to come to AL personally to hit you in the head. It wouldn't have been a wasted purchase either (as you can see). I can not wait to see you knock those jeans and that track suit outta the water! Hurry up!!! lol

I'm picturing the denim and the chiffon as the complete outfit. Great contrast of colors and fabric. That would be my fav of the bunch.

Adrienne, I am going to book a flight sometime next year. Will let you know in advance! I need you to not make plans for a week. We will be locked in your craft room, so that you can teach me to sew and knit. OH and make red velvet cake! Sound like a plan? LOL

I LOVE the color of your wool tweed! I ordered some coating fabric in a similar color!
I see you are all geared up to start sewing for fall! I really like your plan and I'm starting to feel motivated to plan ahead my fall sewing!

That was one of my favorite groups back in the day. Now one of the singers is on housewives of Atlanta...so much drama. As much as I hate real-life drama, I love watching this show. Love all the new fashions, can't wait to see the finished products.
