Whew.... here I am in alll my glory lol. I took Jaelyn to the dermatologist because we had some issues/concerns with her skin. Well while I was there I asked a few questions that I had about my skin...discoloration, dark spots, 30 year old acne just BLAH lol.
Well, he suggested that we both use Rx for Brown Skin.
I am going to use it for 30 days to see if I can really see a difference in my skin. This pic was taking today (August 3, 2009)
Jaelyn is also going to use it BUT she didn't want me to show her pic lol. She said I could show the before and after once we get to the after part lol.
That's it for today! LOL
Y'all have a good one!
Toodles!
I'm right there with you! I have just as many issues with acne and dark spots as a result of "dealing with it" now as I did in my teens--I'm 36. Thanks for sharing and et us know how the new stuff works for ya! Although your skin looks great already--eyeroll...and your hair grows so fast! Take care and have a great day!

I know this is supposed to be about skin but you have one of the thickest, healthiest heads of hair that I've ever seen!

I've been using Clinique for a few years now, but I have been tempted to switch lately. I can't wait to hear how it turns out for you and Jaelyn.

Good Luck with this. I hope it helps. I know how you feel. I am starting to get age spots on my hands just like my grandmother. Uggh!!! This summer I stayed out of the sun as much as I could.
xoxo, Christine

Interesting because I don't see a problem with your skin, not a big deal. But I have a low standard for skin and most of my skin issues are caused by something internal.

I agree. I don't see much of a problem with your skin. PLEASE keep us posted.

I can't wait to see the results, I just checked out their website and I think I'm going to try it for my daughter, she inherited her skin issues from her dad and his side of the family. Thanks for sharing! You are the BOMB!

Jaelyn is SO funny!!

get the hell out of here! aint shit wrong with your skin. My grandmother swore the cure for any skin ailments was to rub pee-dy baby (infants) diapers on your face. No Ma'am!!!!!! All the water that you drink, I know your skin is flawless!

Thanks..My skin tone is uneven.. I am going to sephora at lunch time to check it out.... I love your hair.. Its looks so thick and full of body....

I think your skin looks great, but I know we're always more critical of ourselves. Even though I've been staying out of the sun and just doing spray tans, I still have a few brown spots on my cheeks that even microdermabrasion doesn't get rid of.

I love RX for Brown Skin. I have been using their products for about 6 months. I use the face and body products.
If I miss a day or two using my facial products (you know on my lazy weekends) I can reeaaly see the difference.
Their Body Butter is the only thing that works on my SUPER dry skin, and it smells soooo good.
I know you will really like it.

I have the toner from Rx for Brown skin. I ordered it months ago, but never got the whole system, since it was back ordered on Sephora's online spot. Hate to drive out to the mall to find parking, etc. but my skin has been a hot mess lately.

Okay, I've bookmarked that site. Where have these products been all my life? I'm not seeing any issues with your skin, but I can sure see them with mine. Who-hoo! Let's get this party started.

Thank you for this info! I'm going to check it out....I have brown spot discolorations, too.

Thanks for sharing this. I see nothing wrong with your skin, it's beautiful. Mine on the other hand can use some help. I will be checking this out!

I've been using RX for Brown Skin for several months and I love it. I bought the Bright and Healthy set from Sephora along with the eye cream. I can definitely see the change in my skin.

Mmm...sounds interesting. I've been dealing with adult acne for quite some time. Never had trouble with it until grad school. I'm gonna have to give that product a try! Thanks for sharing!
Your skin is beautiful! :)
My dermatologist told me 80% of people would be happy with my skin...but I am NOT happy with huge pores and random pimples, LOL.

You've got great skin now, but I'm curious about the products so I'll stay tuned. what was your regimen before (& you're so pretty! nice pic)

Thanks for the advice, When I turned 31 my acne flared up worse than high school years. I have been using Ambi, I continue to breakout across the forehead, and I also have skin discoloration.
I am going to Sephora to purchase this today, I will keep you posted on the results.
I must admit I do not drink enough water.

I don't see anything wrong with your skin! I've heard that their products are extremely good! I got some of their samples from Sephora the last time I went but was too scared to use them (I have sensitive skin). Please keep us posted! What are you using/not using in your hair, it's so thick and healthy looking!

I have to agree with the comment about your hair. It is absolutely gorgeous. Didn't you *just* cut it? OK, your skin looks pretty good to me, but I'm curious to see what it'll look like in 30 days.

I would love to have my 30 year old skin back...lol! Good luck to Jaelyn...hope she feels better about her skin soon.

Let us know. I'm over these dark circles under my eyes, though I haven't done a thing about them.

Dr Taylor (the creator of RX) is my dermatologist. I used to go to her years ago and started back when I started having hair/scalp issues. I never tried the rx for brown skin though.

I love RX for Brown Skin! It has worked wonders on my VERY BROWN skin! I truly feel you with the 30 year old skin...the hormonal transition we go through in our 30s takes it toll on the skin. Look forward to hearing how it works for you. I also found a product in Sephora that I absolutely love and it works miracles..Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum. Its expensive but, trust me its worth it and it a natural product.

Thanks for the link. I'm whiter than white but I am allergic to propylene glycol which is in almost EVERYTHING. So I see their Bright and Healthy collection doesn't have that and you may have just saved my life with your blog tips. Again.
