The kids are out of school for the summer and it's time to start our summer routine! LOL
We always start out with a trip to the library!! I'm glad my kids love to read as much as I do. Excuse the pics...I left my camera at home but you BEST BELIEVE I had my cell phone ;-)
I love, love, love listening to Aj read. He has come SUCH a long way. He had some trouble earlier in the school year but he came out on top! WOOHOO!
Kayla has really been into the yellow lately lol
We always go to Dairy Queen once we leave the library. We normally go to the library once a week or once every two weeks. Depends on how quickly they read their books.
Grandma got Aj a new PSP for doing so well in school. He LOVES IT lol. He was trying to show her how to work it. HILARIOUS lol.
Zanete came over to bring me some cake bites (see next few pics lol) but didn't want her pic taken....
That's ok...I just get you when you not looking! HAHAHAHAHAHAH lol
OHHHHHH these were SO GOOD! I'm too embarrassed to say how many I ate, but OMG. They are SO GOOD. I have GOT to ask her the name of the bakery again so I can go and get some this weekend. SOOOO GOOD.
I got some mail from Japan!! I love getting mail from all over the world!! It's good to know folks ;-)
We took the kids to get shaved ice and nachos from one of our favorite lil spots....
Yes, Jaelyn was there also lol
That's mine lol. I always get peaches and cream. YUMMMMMMY.
Momma and Grand-grand after church Sunday...
Y'all know you ain't been to church if you don't get any candy after lol. Well that's how WE do lol. Hmm I don't think I got mine lol.
That's all I have today! I hope ya'll have a good one!
Toodles!!!
It is wonderful that your family spends so much time together. I wonder if God is telling me that my family life sucks because I SPEND TOO MUCH TIME AT WORK and CONSTANTLY WORRYING ABOUT OUR FINANCES/MONEY. I remember spending time with my daughter growing up in the bookstore and library 3 days a week because she couldn't get enough now she is 17. My 5 year old has latched on to every word he sees and is proud of himself and so am I, but I seem to be missing a lot. I pray your family life continues to blossom.

Cute pics, the library always played a huge part in our summers and now my GS loves to sign up for the summer reading program, he gets a toy after he reads 5 books and he thinks that little toy is the greatest thing lol.

Isn't GOD awsome! Four generations together and looking good doing it:) Your children will have great memories to look back on when they get older, you've documented their lives quite well and they will appreciate it later. Thanks for sharing.

I guess shave ice is Alabama's version of water ice? Do you all have a Rita's? Looks like your summer is off to a great start---reading is fundamental, my four year is reading now and trys her best to read everything....there is nothing like candy, before, during and after church...lol

Dear Adrienne,
No matter how cool you are and how sweet your family is you are NOT allowed to torture a pregnant woman with pics of cake and nachos and shaved ice. ESPECIALLY when I'm stuck at work. And its 80+ degrees.
Yours in Christ,

I loved summer vacation when my kids were little. We always went to the library too. It's so much fun when they are little just doing what ever you feel like all summer. Happy happy days. I wish I got candy for going to church.

Girl what's in the envelope??? (your nosy friend)

Hey Adrienne
I love your friend's hair, the one who brought cake (what a friend).
I love the library and I love books they are my babies. I need to update my Good Reads account to show what I have read. I am trying to finish the Huntress series by LA Banks. Twilight has nothing on this sister. Trust me.
I am in the South, born and raised in New Orleans and what you call shaved ice we call Sno-balls.
They call me them something else here is Texas can't remember but I have a favorite spot to get me a sour apple and sour cherry mix and when the baby wakes guess where we are going.
Peace. I hope you get to take a nap today because you were twittering your butt off last night.. LOL

Now I want cupcakes, shaved ice and some candy. I laughed when I saw the candy bag. Just like my mom used to carry. She always used to give my cousin and I a piece to keep us quiet in church! LOL!!

I love the library. It's great your kids enjoy it too. Good for AJ for improving his skills.
Dairy Queen afterwards is a great treat and memory. My mom and I would go shopping and always stopped for something to eat. I remember these times fondly. You should scrapbook that memory.
Why am I always pushing scrapbooking? LOL! I think I got my mojo back.
