Big ups to Jaelyn for taking my picture for me :-) We literally took the pic then RAN back up the driveway trying to beat the rain lol. It stopped for like 6 minutes lol.
This was my very first time using a Kwik Sew Pattern. BABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBY let me tell you it will NOT be my last!!!! I already have a couple more lined up lol.
I LOVE the weight of the paper!!
Question...those of you who have made their patterns before do you trace them or just cut them out!??! I just cut mine out.
I had to make SOMETHING out of a knit lol. Y'all know that's my favorite fabric lol. Don't worry....more wovens are coming soon lol.
Pattern Description:
Misses' Empire Waist Tops
Pattern Sizing:
XS-XL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes Very. With something this simple I normally wouldn't even glance at
the directions, but since this was my first Kwiksew pattern I decided
to read each step.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I LOVE this entire pattern. No dislikes.
Fabric Used:
Jersey from my stash.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
If I need another strapless top, I will make this my "go-to" pattern!
Conclusion:
LOVE this top! Super easy to make!!!
Ok, ya'll have a GREAT day!
Toodles!
That top is to cute. I love the print.

Looks fantastic, v. summery. I have never tried a kwik sew pattern either, they're not very common in Uk or HK, but the results always seem to be fab.

Cute! I've worked with a Kwik Sew pattern and agree about paper. I usually cut my patterns as well.

OK, OK I'm getting jealous now!!! That top is CUTE. My knowledge of sewing is not going as fast as my sewing machine can sew. I am still learning how to sew a straight line. I am getting there soon I will be making pillow cases then onto clothes maybe. I am a slow learner. But ENOUGH SELF PITY I love the fabric choice. Keep up the good work.

That top looks adorable on you! I trace my KS patterns, since it seems a shame to cut such nice pattern paper. :)

I trace my KS patterns because I usually have to make some sort of adjustment. Plus, these damn patterns cost a lot and I am not trying to buy duplicates. =)

Very nice top! Keep up the good work.

Very cute! I loved the dress you posted a few days ago too!

I like your knit top. Nice fabric as always. :)
I always trace my KS patterns. They are a bit expensive to cut up. The quality of the pattern is NICE. Tracing should not take you too long as the lines are clear (unlike some other pattern companies). Glad you got a chance to try a KS pattern.

I have made a few Kwik sew patterns and I love the fit. You want to trace the pattern because you can keep the patterns for a long time they are timeless and as you gain and loose weight you can just trace off another size and. The patterns are costly and NEVER go on sale.

Hi Adrienne,
Love the top! I love kwik sew patterns! I always trace my patterns onto lightweight sew in interfacing, which also makes pinning easier for me. I like the idea of keeping my original in one piece.

You look fabulous!!! Nice job!! I've never done a kwik pattern before. I'm going to have to check them out. I figure I can find them online. I don't have access to them otherwise.
