It's Friday!! Let's JAM
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready to wear my heels and toes out!!! LOL
I went looking for a certain kind of shoe yesterday and saw this:
Not EVEN what I was looking for but, HOW FREAKING HOT IS THIS DAMN SHOE!?!? The store had it in nude. I was *THIS* close to getting it but decided to wait and HOPE that I could find it in black. I LOVE a nude shoe, and I have one or two?? lol but I would get a TON more wear out of black. These babies will be here SOON! YAY!!
BCBG is normally my favorite shoe designer but I have been really disappointed with their stuff as of late.
While on the subject of shoes....I bought these boots a while back...got a REALLY good deal. My problem? I don't know what to wear them with. Now I think I dress pretty well but these light colored boots have me baffled. How should I wear these!? Should I have them dyed....like chocolate brown. Hmmm they are suede. Anyone have any experience with that? I might run them over to the shoe man today.
Ohhh lookie! I made a necklace lol
And a close up....kinda lol
I am going to wear this with my wrap dress I made the other day. I've been sewing lol. Reviews to come soon lol.
I went to one of my LYS and picked up some yarn for a NEW Green Gable. I will NOT be defeated! LOL
Ohhhh isn't it purrrttttyyyyy. I tell you what...the colors online and the colors IRL are VERY different! This stuff is SUPER vibrant online. But it's still pretty lol. I took some pics inside the yarn store but they are on my other camera and it's upstairs so I will have to upload those later lol.
What are you guys doing this weekend?
ME? I plan on sitting behind my machines until I just can't take it anymore lol.
My serger is doing something funny. I started a thread on Pattern Review...if you guys have any insight...can you let me know? I've tried everything they suggested on the thread and STILL the same issue. I will be at Singer FIRST thing in the morning.
Y'all have a great weekend!!!
Toodles!
The black heels are definitely HOT...beige boots would be nice w/navy, dark denim, deep red/burgandy or dark brown. I'm in luv with that necklace...red is one of my favorite colors.
Happy Friday!

That's how I am intending to spend the weekend, sew as much as I can-I have a lot I want to get finished up! The boots are cute! I'd wear them with black or brown, but a darker color would be better for the winter.
And your necklace is beautiful!

That black shoe is terribly cute!!! DON'T DYE THE BOOT!!! Did you hear me...DON'T. That boot is too cute the way it is. If you don't have anything now to wear the boot with...ummm..make something. LOL Necklace is too cute. Hey, you like orange right? I have some cute orange beads I can share with you. They were a gift to me a couple of years ago...why have I not made anything with it yet..well I wouldn't have purchased orange. Have a good weekend chic!

Them black shoes are FIRE!!! I can't wait for the Spring either.
I am going to the Auto Show this weekend and hope to see Idris - LAWD HAVE MERCY!!
This weekend is going to be nice in D.C. so I plan on being outside as well. I mean hell yesterday was 0, so I think it is about time.

That black shoes are nice! I think that style would look great in nude or cognac. I would not dye the boot! I would wear them with skinny/straight leg jeans tucked... cause I'm hot like that!

Those Boots are sexy!!!!! and I agree with Erica, don't die those boots!
Posted by: Dana | February 06, 2009 at 08:28 AM
I think you could dye the boots. I have dyed shoes in the past with some DIY shoe dye and it worked fine. I'm sure if you had it professionally done, they would turn out fab. BTY, the black shoes you are getting are amazing!!
Posted by: Jeanette | February 06, 2009 at 08:31 AM
Adrienne, don't dye the boots! You can wear them as "tone down" to a color that pops (like orange, brown and the color of the boots...or a vibrant blue and that color boot). Don't you have enuf "chocolate brown" already???
No more chocolate brown kicks this year for Adrienne. LOL.

Hot shoes!
Pretty yarn! But of course I already mentioned that before right! LOL!
I like the boots. Would look cute with something chocolate or dark to make them stand out.
I started beading last night and it's fun so far. I hope to have it completed by the weekend.
Good Luck with the serger. I don't have any insight for you.
Have a good weekend.

Like the others, the shoe and boot are fierce. As for the serger, I would remove the threads, clean/oil and re-thread the machine. Hope that helps.

Those shoes are HAWT. I'd break my neck, but damn, I'd try to wear them!!
Those boots? Umm...you got a sweater dress? Are they wedges? Dark denim, definitely...
That necklace is fab...I love the red with that pendant!

Girl make yourself a cream colored sweater and rock those boots! That's what I'm doing. I purchased a cuuuuute pair of cream boots with fur around the top. I now need something to go with them that would be as cute. PROJECT!!! :)

OMG!! I have those exact same boots and forgot I had them..hahahaha..I suspect we probably got them at the same place and I went crazy ordering the grip of shoes at the same time so I have several pair that I still havent worn. Love the sandals and necklace.

Love that necklace! Go on with your bad self on the new (Blue) Green Gable, lol.

A tone on tone look would be cute. Maybe in a sweater dress with leggings. You have the shape to make the outfit rock. And I like your necklace too.

I am loving the boots.. I think a nice fitted pair of jeans tucked inside the boots... and a fabulous top or jacket.. your jewelry and a bag and you are good to go.....

I hate that you can do everything...How in hell do you WORK?
That being said, I love the yarn color and have you seen Stomp The Yard?...My daughter (11) is addicted to it!

LOVE the necklace!!!!
Love the shoes, but there is NO WAY I could ever wear those. I'm too OLD!!! LOL
Posted by: Cheryl | February 06, 2009 at 02:32 PM
You know I gotta agree with Erica on how to wear the boots. Tuck your jeans IN.
Or I would wear all black (turtleneck)and a calf length black skirt with them. Go completely opposite!!
Can't believe that Patrice has them in chocolate too! I bet those are cute too!!
Gurl I am determined to stay on top of my needles this weekend with miles of ribbing on this shrug! ;op
Enjoy your sewing time!!

Nooooooooo! Don't dye the suede boots. I don't really have any suggestions as to what to wear with them, but I am loving the light color. I am almost willing to trade you a sewing machine for them (okay, that may have been a gross exaggeration - but I really like those boots). I am enjoy the black heels too.
This weekend, I must take pictures of finished UFOs and review some new stuff. I alos have to get myself ready for a week-long business trip so I will be busy all weekend. Have a good one.

Those shoes are tooooooo much, lol. They make my feet hurt just looking at them, but they will look goooood on you, :).
I love the light color of the boots! DO NOT DYE THEM! I wear my taller boots with capri length, trouser cut pants, all winter long. Ok, so I live in Phoenix, and it gets maybe 35 on a really cold day, but still. I wear above the calf boots with pencil skirts in winter too to avoid the pantyhose thing at work, and I love it.
I have a perfect pair of golden beige-ey herringbone twill capris that are calling for those boots, care to share? ;)

We shoe addicts have to stick together and support one another. Have you lost your mind! Girl, don't dye those boots. Wear 'em with pj's and curlers if you must, but leave the color A-Lone.
Like the necklace.

OOOH - good luck with the Green Gable this time. That is one of my favorite, all-time yarns, so you should have good mojo with this one!!

Cute footwear and jewelry. Those shoes are hot.

Love your necklaces. Did you learn to bead in a class, or did you teach yourself from a book, or just go for it. I want to get started making some necklaces and earrings, but I seem to have a creative block when I go to pick out the beads. I just don't know where to start.

Gurl, if you dye that boot...don't make me stop this car!
