LOL.....this one will be short. I started a couple things this year and frogged them.
Around NOVEMBER I wanted to make a neckwarmer.....I started it but ummmm.... I literally had to FIND it to take this pic last night lol.
It is NOT finished. Almost but just not finished. I lost interest. I will finish it...gotta find the pattern first and try to figure out which row I was on lol.
My knitting goals for 2009 are really pretty simple.
KNIT!
Yep, that is all I want to do lol. Just knit lol. To be a little more specific there are a couple things I really want to accomplish in the new year. I want to spell it out...mainly so I can go reference it lol.
So there you have it! This time next year I will have MORE than an UFO picture to show you guys!LOL
Have a great day!!
Toodles!
- I REALLY want to learn to knit socks. Even if I just knit ONE pair. I REALLY want to try. It will be challenging and I LOVE a challenge. My mom and grandma would also LOVE a pair so yep. I WILL learn to knit socks.
- I REALLY want to use Ravelry more. It is such a great site that I KNOW I don't use enough. I started a group for the local knitters here and I want to be more active with it.
- I want to make my mom a set of washcloths. She LOVES the ONE I made her when I first started knitting lol.
- I want to knit Tony, and the kids a hat and scarf.
- I want to pick a yarn NOW and start a top out of Custom Knits. LOVE THIS BOOK!
- I want to go to a knit night...just to see if I will like it. So I want to go atleast one time. I went to knit with the ladies at my local library and while it was fun and they are all very sweet....umm not my cup of tea lol. So I will try a knit night.
- I want to knit a button down cardigan/sweater and FINISH IT! LOL
So there you have it! This time next year I will have MORE than an UFO picture to show you guys!LOL
Have a great day!!
Toodles!
I'm first! Yay! Good luck with your goals. I plan on doing more projects and stop myself from buying too much yarn and collecting too many patterns!
I can't wait to see what you make!

If you really want to accomplish knitting in "09" start by picking up the needles daily and knitting a little. Use a yarn that is really pretty and exciting to you.
What I do sometimes, is swatch my pattern first. Just cast on and knit the pattern stitches, get familiar with those before I begin the actual project.
I started making soap in November of this year and I am having a blast. This is such a fun hobby and really gets my creative juices flowing! My goal for 09 is to master it and produce great looking bars that clean and moisturize the body. Already, my hubbie says he's not using anything else!

Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmans. You seem like a woman who sets goals and keeps them, I know your knitting will flow during the next year.
Enjoy!

Sorry for the mispelled Christmas wish, you're not supposed to type and talk at the same time. Merry Christmas!

Best wishes for 2009 - and for accomplishment of those goals! Knitting socks is not a hard thing, but the first pair can be mysterious. I got a number of books, but the first one that made sense, i.e. spoke my language, was "Knit Socks!" by Betsy Lee McCarthy. It gave me the "Ah-HAH!" moment. Merry Christmas!

Well, if you are ever in southern CA, you can drop by our knit nights!
I want to knit some things for myself. I took a look in my closet last week and realized of all the things I knit, I have only one camisole and two shrugs that I have knit for myself. A lot of things are intended for me and then someone says "I love that!" And I finish it and gift it to them.
On my 2009 list are (for myself):
A second Republic hat.
A pair of wrist warmers.
A scarf.
A cabled vest.
A cardigan.
A pullover.
Two sweaters (one for each of the girls.)
Plus I still have some sewing to do early in the year. (An advent calendar for next year, a Halloween quilt that just squeaked by, and a few more aprons.)
Anyway, I love your blog and am glad to see you around after that scare. HAVE A MERRY, HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

I plan on getting a hobby. I even have one in mind that while isn't anywhere near as crafty as the stuff you do, it interests me and I might even be able to turn it into a side hustle or main hustle one day.
Now if you ever want to knit some booties in a size 13, I may know someone interested. LOL.
Merry Christmas!

I love Ravelry, but I haven't used it in months.
I'd like to knit more, but it takes longer than crocheting, and I have the shortest attention span known to man. *lol* I need short projects.
But knitting is so much fun, that I know i'll have to do more.
Happy Holidays!!

If you have kids there is precious little time to knit. But for me no knit no life LOL. Since my kids have kids and my home is now an abode of 2 adults I knit pretty much when I want to.
I remember the years I stopped knitting to raise my family.....now I am free free free to knit my fingers off.

Great goal! That's one of my goals too! I'm on Ravelry now too as Divagirlrn. My goal is actually to learn. I just participated in pink swap on Ravelry, I really like it. So, I hope as I learn more, I'll spend more time on there. Merry Christmas!

I lost my knitting mojo last year but I think I'm getting it back!!!

Girl, why did I take my neckwarmer to New York and my mama liked it...so I gave it to her. She's always like, "oh, you can just make another one...". Hehehe. I would love to learn to knit socks next year. We'll see.
