I am STILL tired....LOL
Friday I had to do some running around and Tony decided to come with me hahahah. Did what we had to do...went to lunch...did a little shopping....
He was funny as all get out in DSW lol...I NEEDED a chocolate shoe..I don't have a chocolate shoe...then he looks down at my feet to see that I do indeed have on chocolate shoes...my comment?? LOL But I don't have a chocolate pump, these are not pumps lol..hilarious
but he still paid for my shoes hahahaha.
And of course our "date self pic" lol
But you GOTTA check out how tired he was lol...he is going to KILL me but this was SO freakin hilarious lol...
He was KNOCKED out in the car lol had the bobble head thing going lol...gotta love a camera phone lol.
Once the kids got out of school we packed up and hit the road to Huntsville for Alabama A&M Homecoming....ahhh good times good TIMES! LOL
The kids had a blast in the hotel room. Don't know what it is but ummmm lol
They REALLY like the photo booth lol. These kids stayed up until almost 3am Friday...and we got up at 7ish on Saturday lol.
Tony was playing around with the camera and got this pic of me cleaning out my purse...
and then he got REAL close lol..
I kinda like it lol...Jaelyn was on the laptop lol...hahahaha.
Then the fun REALLY started!
Alabama A&M vs. Grambling The tailgate was better than the game lol.
OBAMA 08
There was food for DAYS...
Gotta have a bulldog cake...
Dude with the pimp cup was HILARIOUS...guy in the black shirt (Lovejoi) is so seriously stupid it is ridiculous lol love him and his wife lol. They are the PERFECT couple lol.
Got a chance to hang out with some of my girls....
Poor Aj couldn't take it any more....I think this was taken between 6 and 8pm lol. Can't remember exactly lol
I LOVE this picture of him. I just want to caption it "BOO" lol
I did a little people watching...and I was kinda disturbed...
What are these??
That is the ugliest mess I've seen in a LONG time.
Ladies, ladies, ladies....
I am not what one would consider big..and "I" would NOT wear this. Some stuff just doesn't look good and this is it. I saw SO many women with this on. eww.
I was con-fu-sed...it was 80 out and people had on boots. Umm NO... Then when this lady stopped walking she was all "leant" over in her shoes...*sigh*
I am not some celebrity stylist..nor do I claim to know everything their is to know about fashion but I KNOW she don't need to have this on. YES I said SHE DON'T NEED lol. Just wrong...
But THIS travesty...
WTF? Someone PLEASE explain that to me.
That is all. Toodles! LOL
Hey, I know that orange top! And um.. stir-up gym socks? I don't even think they had those back in the 80s!!

I'm surprised some of those images didn't crack your lense! Wow! What atrocities!
Posted by: Erica B. | October 14, 2008 at 12:36 AM
LLLLAAAWWWWDDDD HAVE MERCY! Please tell me why, WHY would you were stirrup socks and heels?
CarlaF-in Atlanta who hopes that fashion statement stays in Huntsville, Alabama.

What a full weekend! I love your people watching pictures, lol, I'm still laughing HAHAHAH
Posted by: Tany | October 14, 2008 at 03:02 AM
another fabulas weekend for you. The fashion police should have been giving out tickets, because some of them were committing crimes.
Posted by: cici | October 14, 2008 at 04:22 AM
Too much fun! You are terrible!!
But, unfortunatly it's all true!

That food looks delicious! I love food pictures!
Looks like you had a ton of fun this weekend. I love your pictures. It's funny what people will wear isn't it?
Posted by: Cassandra | October 14, 2008 at 07:54 AM
Girl, you are too funny, Love your photos, reminds me of something my sister and I would do. Again a proven fact that just because you think it's your size doesn't mean you are supposed to wear it. All tights should be banned over a size 12.
Posted by: Tracy | October 14, 2008 at 08:25 AM
What a funny post! Loved it.
Posted by: Tee | October 14, 2008 at 08:47 AM
You provided my morning laugh for me along with my morning coffee. Ha! I genuinely feel sorry for those women who feel that they have to squeeze ALL of themselves into those too tight clothes that aren't designed for their voluptuous bodies all for the sake of NOT making a fashion statement. I don't care what the month or season is, if it's 80 degrees, leave the boots in the closet! Otherwise, the trip and food looked really good.
Posted by: Kellistarr | October 14, 2008 at 09:26 AM
OMG...the heel-less socks in that last picture. What the crap is that?
(You know...when Jaelyn came over the other day and told me you guys were going to Huntsville to the game, I actually though...Oh goodie, we get one of those Fashion Disasters at the Football Game posts. Yay!! LOL)
Are those the chicken nachos at Johnny Carino's? I love those things!! MMMM.
Looks like a GREAT weekend!!
Posted by: Cheryl | October 14, 2008 at 10:07 AM
Someone please call the fashion police. That was a hot mess. LOL!
Posted by: Andrea | October 14, 2008 at 10:56 AM
First time visiting your blog and wanted to say.
I kind of like some of those messes. I will concede that boots seem to be a bit much considering the temperature but rarely do I have a problem with tight clothes on a woman.
Posted by: Freaky Deaky | October 14, 2008 at 11:50 AM
Girl that food looks so good!
I love DSW shoes, especially their boots!!!!!!
Girl those photos were hilarious, some poeple just don't have a clue girl!!
And i love Tony's twist. They look good girl!

Posted by: Natalie | October 14, 2008 at 12:26 PM
What is it about mob mentality to makes so many people throw judgement to the winds?
Posted by: Cathy | October 14, 2008 at 12:36 PM
I saw the chick in the last photo. I am so shocked that you didn't see any of the male fashion misfits or the Red Velvet Cake Head Lady..
If it was like this just for Homecoming I can't wait to see the clowns for the Classic.
Posted by: Trice | October 14, 2008 at 01:47 PM
Sometimes you want to wear the chic-ness of a heal with the athletic leaning of a gym sock. Can you blame her? Sporty Spice!
Looks like a good time...I can just imagine how many got away before you could snap a picture!
Posted by: Christie | October 14, 2008 at 03:57 PM
Oh how I love your pictures! Thank you. You tempted us with the chocolate shoes - can we get a look at them? I need chocolate shoes and I am in need of inspiration. I love the sleeping pictures. Very sweet. Looks like you had a lovely weekend.

The photo of the little ones in the hotel room reminds me of my childhood memories of the Classic.
The people watching is awesome at these events! I can remember the fur coats people would wear to the Magic City Classic and the Turkey Day Classic in my hometown! Those outfits are beyond crazy! LOL!
The nachos are beyond! (I stole that from Sarah Silverman!)
Such a great post! Oh yeah...Go Bama State! LOL!

I just love your people watching pics, they are my absolute favorite. Sometimes you just can't believe your own eyes. LOL! Tony's gonna get you for taking his pic while he's napping. AJ's so cute, he's getting so big. Tell him he'll be able to hang with the big kids soon.

Those outfits just aren't right....
Glad you had a good time.
Posted by: Muriel | October 15, 2008 at 12:49 PM
Looks like you guys had a fantastic time! All I'm gonna say about the folks in those pics is that I wish I had their self-esteem.
You must definitely be OK with yourself in any and all ways to feel confident enough to come out the house like that.
Now that I think about it- is it too much self esteem or not enough self respect? Hmm? I have something to ponder the rest of the day now......
Posted by: Joy | October 15, 2008 at 03:02 PM
I see you experienced some fashion diasters this past weekend. I do not fatham why anyone would wear boots in 80 degree weather and thought it only happened on the east and west coast, but it seems evident that it happens in the south as well. My grandmother use to tell me that just because it's made in your size, does not mean you are suppose wear it. I consider that to be good advise. Great top!

Isn't it awesome when we have spouses and children that we have fun with?!

Now these photos just confirm what I have always thought....there are so many people out there wearing weird stuff and this tells me that I shouldnt worry about what I have on!!
Posted by: MaryJ | October 16, 2008 at 03:58 AM
Hi Adrienne! Love the pics of you and the family. You all look like you were having a lot of fun!! I must confess though that I LOVE it when you take pictures of the fashion diasters. Oh my goodness!! ROFLOL!!And you say you're not a stylist or anything, but girl you have really good taste and you know what to wear!!:)
Posted by: Solidia | October 16, 2008 at 11:43 AM

ROFLOL... at Tony sleeping, but hey... tell him I said good job for even surviving the shoe store. And hello... you spotted some serious fashion no-nos. I saw a brown sneaker-boot the other day and was going HUH??? You can have a sneaker, you can have a boot, you do not need to have a sboot! :)
Posted by: Jude | October 17, 2008 at 08:44 AM
You were WRONG for taking a picture of that man sleeping LMAOOOOOOO! I would shut down the blog LOL! I love love love when you go to the games and get pictures of the fashion diasters! But I will tell you, when those sisters got all geared up they just KNEW they were fly! That's why you need to have at least one girl who's not afraid to say to you "Girl take that s*#t off! LOL! Have a great weekend.

Lawd, HBCU homecomings bring out the worst in some. I'm headed to festivities at FAMU and Tuskegee next month and I expect to see much of the same.

Thanks for the A&M Homecoming pictures!!! I'm a Bulldog Alumnae (Class of 97). I recongnized some people from the pictures. Not the 'What Were You Thinking Pictures'!!! Those were funny! Did you or your husband go to A&M? I've missed homecoming for a couple of years now but hopefully I'll make it next year.

Adrienne, that was my aunt you took a picture of!!!!! No, just kidding!!! The things some people will wear..TOO funny!!!!
Posted by: Tiffany | October 21, 2008 at 04:50 PM
Those pictures were frightening. So many fashion violations. I saw one the other day myself. Big lady, black tight sweatsuit with a trendy teen label and red furry boots --- sweatpants tucked into boots. And this is Florida. It's hot. We don't need fuzzy boots -- ever! It was scary. I'm still trying to get over having seen something like that and then, I see your pictures. Mmm.mmm.mmm. They know they should not have left the house like that. What is with the plus size ladies and spandex pants with short shirts? It hurts my eyes, especially when places like Layne Bryant and Fashion Bug sell some rockin' ensembles! Don't make no sense.
Posted by: Christy S | October 24, 2008 at 08:14 AM
Adrienne, You are ways too funny with that camera......no not funny, downright dangerous! You and your camera need to be locked away!!!
Bad girl....ROFL
