Did you guys have a good weekend?!? I sure did!!
First I got a new recipe for Red Velvet Cake that is seriously TDF!!!!
Someone, who shall remain nameless...couldn't wait on it to cool off...so the icing is sliding lol....next time, next time lol.
I had a recipie that I got from a family member and it was off the chains...this one....10 times better.
Seriously. I'll have to ask if I can post it. Hopefully the answer will be yes, because it was SO freaking moist...omg...can't you see it? This Ish right here....This Ish right here....THIS ISH RIGHT HERE?!? LOL ok...so I watched Katt Williams this weekend lol.
YUM....as if that isn't sinful enough. Friday Tony and I went to Joe's Crab Shack
and ate there for lunch....I had some type of fried seafood platter...yes all fried, and yes it was the bomb... But best of all was one of my drinks...
I can't even remember what it was...but it had pop rocks in it lol. Remember that candy? LOL
And the self portrait lol
Looking good babe! :-) Y'all have to excuse my eyebrows for a minute...I'm letting the grow back so I can re-shape them... I do this twice a year lol. *sigh* Tony has jokes...but he has NO room to talk lol
Once we finished up there we made our rounds to a few of my favorite stores lol
He looked around in hancock and found him some fabric for some lounging pants. The stuff he was looking at had skulls on it but it was umm kinda plastic lol. NOT what you want to lounge around in lol. He had the ladies at the cutting table ROLLING lol. It was so funny. He is a nut...
We left there and headed over to Books A Million...LOVE the bookstore. OMG
*Sigh* lol yes he is eating a blue ring pop....at one point he had it on his pinky finger...talking bout he was tha pimp...lol so stupid lol
No date is complete without a trip to Michaels lol
He said he couldn't believe there were so many stickers lol. Then he REALLY started to look around and he said..Hey, don't you have that?!? Oh Adrienne you have that. WHY is it 49.99? LOL yeah we left there REAL quick lol.
Did you guys know they have Project Runway PaperDolls???
I didn't know that either lol.
Both my brothers came home this weekend. I didn't get a pic of Corey, but I did catch my dad and Andre in deep convo...
Looks more like my dad is really enjoying his sunflower seeds lol.
How about the only child that wants to be in front of the camera?
Aj lost his other tooth!! TEE HEE
OMG, he was eating some gum at a birthday party Saturday and I about DIED laughing at him. He looked SO funny....
My father being the WONDERFUL grandparent he is, picked up Aj a softball bat...and some softballs....
*sigh* I can hear the glass shattering....
He did NOT want to stand still lol
blurry but still cute ;-)
LOVE this picture!!!! My baby is getting SO big...
Have you guys met Ozzie yet???
HE IS CRAZY!!!! LOL My mom's (INSIDE) dog lol...might as well be mine since I do something with him EVERYDAY lol. He is cute though...
And that is IT! I finished up my items for the Pattern Review Mini-Wardrobe contest. And I hope to get some pictures tomorrow in half of it and the rest by Friday. I ordered some beads to make a necklace and they won't be here until the 29th which SUCKS but oh well. It will all be posted by the 31st!
Next post...I will show you guys what I have been scrapping!!
Have a fantastic day!
Toodles!!!
HOW do you find the time? I want to be you, because after the cake and the crab lunch, I was exhausted! :)

OK! if you are able to share the recipe - I am so the first in line to try it!!!
What a jammed packed weekend. I'm crazy laughing at your Micheal's visit... My husband doesn't have a clue what scrap supplies cost - I think he thinks everything is $2 because those are the only price tags I leave on my supplies, LOL

AJ looks so cute with his missing teeth!

Thanks, Adrienne! I tried on the pineapple pullover and it fits great! Whew, it feels good to make something F.O.R. M.Y.S.E.L.F. As usual, love your photos and descriptive narrative! You always make me smile!

Why do you insist on making me hungry! LOL! I am going to get up and fix myself something to eat soon. Thanks a bunch!
I suggest you keep Tony out of your stores. It's not good for him to see prices! LOL!

Awwww Adrienne, this post is adorable! My husband and I walk around like that and have a blast! Would you believe we bought pop rocks and ring pops this weekend- except I was pretending to be the big time pimp! I named myslef smitty the pimp! I told hubby don't make me ask for my money twice! Awwww- I hope we all get to meet one day!
PS:Ozzy is cute! Did I ever show you picks of my Abbey? She was sweet.

That red velvet cake looked delicious. Now I want to make one. I hope your friend allows you to post the recipe.
Posted by: Lashell | August 25, 2008 at 11:16 AM
Okay, the cake looks all that, and I hope you do get to post the recipe. AJ looks adorable, and he is getting big. Now, you know better than to take your man into the craft store. Or better yet to the sections where you hang out in the craft store. If my man knew how much I paid friday night at JoAnn Fabrics, he might pass out.LOL =)

Lady, I just love your blog - it's sooo much fun. Cake looks good, I hope you can post the recipe so my co-worker can make it for me (hahaha) your hubby in Michaels, that's nice - MINE CAN'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THERE for the same reason your hubby was looking and noticing prices - heck, he just might put me out with the recycleables when he discovers that I am the proud momma of the cricut expression :) I can't wait to read about your latest projects and girl, you are FABBBBB!
Posted by: laughalot | August 25, 2008 at 01:09 PM
That cake looks SO GOOD! If I didn't already have cookie dough in my fridge already, I would so be making cake tonight. I'm doing the NYT cookie recipe... the one where the dough sits for 36 hours. Only mine is only sitting for 24 because if I left it in there any longer, there wouldn't any left!
Posted by: Marlena | August 25, 2008 at 01:16 PM
Ok, that's it! I used to love Joe's then they closed it down, I think they moved. Now you've got me craving it! Your husband is too funny. Girl, your son will be taller than you soon...time flies and the dog is too sweet for words.
Posted by: Kim Brown | August 25, 2008 at 02:50 PM
This post is too much FUN!
Red velvet cake?
Joe's Crab Shack?
ONE of your drinks?
No wonder you're running marathons, ha ha!
(All jokes aside, I'm glad you had such an enjoyable weekend!)
Posted by: carlitadee | August 25, 2008 at 04:48 PM
May I please have that recipe? I have a friend who is in love with red velvet and I'd like to make these!
Posted by: africankelli | August 25, 2008 at 05:34 PM
Uhhh, yeah...you need to see about posting that recipe. I'm waiting!!! (can you hear my nails tapping on the table? lol) Looks YUMMY!!!
WOW, Tony actually GOES into stores like Michaels with you without having to be sedated? COOL! Mister M. claims that his CAR can't even be seen in the parking lot of a place like that. Therefore, hee hee, I love when I get to keep his car for the day. Man, that's the day I (have to) go to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnns AND Archivers!!! Of course, a few days later, he claims his car doesn't feel well :-D.
AJ looks so cute! I can't wait for Jayla to lose her 2 front teeth on top...talk about a Kodak moment.
Posted by: Dawn Bibbs | August 25, 2008 at 06:29 PM

Posted by: Naomie | August 25, 2008 at 07:07 PM
that was a jammed packed weekend. I can't believe you posted about Red Velvet Cake. I had some back in December and have wanted to make it ever since. I hope it is as good as the one I had. Gurl it was also to die for, but I had to pay 40 bucks for it. So I definetly need the recipe, so I can make my own. Thanks:D
