TALK ABOUT AMAZING!!!! I finished in 33 minutes!!!!!! The first person finished in 13 minutes!! WHAT A RUNNER HE WAS!!!!
Yesterday Tony and I spent the day together, I took the camera with me, took some pics (that I will probably post Monday) decided to come home and charge the camera so he could get some good pics of me this morning....grabbed the camera threw it in my bag...took it out once we got there posed for a pic.NOTHING lol. Tell me why I left the battery plugged up on the floor!??! LOL
That's okay. No pics but I have my runners number which was 89 so that shall become a scrapbook page.
My goal this time was to just FINISH. I'd been running between a mile and two miles three days a week to get ready. If it rained I would run on the treadmill and if I didn't run, I would work out on the elliptical machine. I want to be in the top 20 when I run in October. And every race after that, I want to move up 10 places until I come in first! THAT is my goal!!!
Ok, that's all lol. I feel so good right now and I'm so proud of myself !!! Now to go and do something creative before I take the kids to a birthday party this evening!
Toodles!!!
Congrats!! That's wonderful! I really admire that kind of go-to-it-tiveness :)

Adrienne,
I am most proud of you. It feels good when you are able to accomplish your goal. I too set "FINISHING" as my goal two weeks ago when I did a half marathon (13.1 miles) here in Chicago. Go forth girl and run your race. You are amazing. Even though I am 50 years old, I still want to be like you:-).

I am impressed by anyone who can run since I can't. I don't care what they say height and coordination isn't a common pair! LOL!

Bravo!! I did a 25 mile bike ride in Maryland in April and I took the same philosophy - reach the finish line and not have to get carried off. I know I felt like Lance Armstrong when I got to the finish line and I'm sure you felt much the same way. Yayyy you!!
