I mean come on! I made some contacts yesterday that will mean fantastic things for my photography business. I could not be more thrilled. I had to call my two goodest - goodest girlfriends and let them know...we all squealed with delight!!! LOL When everything is final you KNOW I'll let you guys know!!
A friend of mine ( and I do NOT use the term friend loosely) asked me to meet her at Hancock yesterday. I had to go to whole foods anyway so I went on over. She gave me a BOX of the new patterns I wanted and a gift card to Hancock!!!. We had just casually talked about the new patterns and what we liked. Had no clue she planned on getting them for me. How freaking nice was that?!?! I was totally blown away. I just thought she wanted to look at fabric together lol.
I tell you the kindness of people never ceases to amaze me. I've met some wonderful, wonderful people online and IRL and it's just awesome.
My girl Lu
is speaking at the BlogHer Conference. I'm so glad she had this opportunity!!!! Go girl go!!!
Blogging is a WONDERFUL thing!!!
In other news: I'm having a complete love affair with blueberries.
I swear I'm going to plant a blueberry bush for next year. I love these things.
Umm what else...OH, some of you requested the journaling from my LO yesterday, this one in case you don't remember:
Reads:
I MUST ADMIT THAT I HAVE NOT ALWAYS BEEN HAPPY WITH MYSELF. I HAVE NOT ALWAYS BEEN AT PEACE WITH WHO I AM. I HAVE NOT ALWAYS LOVED ME. I USED TO PRETEND TO BE SOMEONE THAT I WASN'T. THAT WAS WAY TOO MUCH WORK. IT TOOK A NUMBER OF YEARS TO BUILD UP MY SELF ESTEEM SO THAT I LOVED MYSELF AND BELIEVED IN ME. NOW I AM 30 YEARS OLD, HAPPY WITH THE PERSON I HAVE BECOME, I LOVE MYSELF AND I WON'T CHANGE WHO I AM FOR ANYONE IN THE WORLD.
I also need to add that I KNOW I'm not finished learning, living or growing, so I am a work in progress lol.
Yesterday was a BAD knitting mojo kinda day. Even Robin had bad knitting mojo so it was in the air lol. Robin is my knitting "She-ro" lol.
What did you guys think of Project Runway?!?! It's going to be a good one! I still need to watch it again lol.
Ok, that's it...I'm knee deep in going through my fabrics and putting patterns with them. Yep....some sewing will start soon!!!
Toodles!
Awesome journaling!!!!! You definitely have a sweet friend, too. Oh, and Project Runway is going to be good!!! One of the designers is from Little Rock and I actually know her. She is a fantastic designer!!!! Can't wait to see how she does!!!!

awesome journaling on your page. i think the older i get the less i can toloerate and that includes trying to please others and being something i'm not, but i think you reached that realization before me!
can't wait to hear what good news you have to share about your photography!
um, did you know that blueberries don't actually grow on trees? it's a bush! lol
did you finish all three books yet? and have you pre-ordered breaking dawn?!

I could cut and paste that entire paragraph right under my own photo. Blueberries grow wild here and you can go into the forrest behind our house and pick till, well...till you get sick of pickin! We are on some cycle of PR that has already aired and finished in America... Let's see the patterns!

Congratulations on the contacts for your photography business.
I agree with your journaling. Life is about learning until the end.
Project Runway will be a dosey this year for the drama alone. I can see it already! I voted that guy off myself! Has he ever seen project runway? Sure didn't look like it. That shower curtain was a holy mess! LOL!
Peace

Awesome gifts (patterns & GC) you received from your friend! Planting only one blueberry bush? Why not two or three? I am hinting to DH to get a second blueberry shrub planted...that way I can atleast get a cupful of berries each day. lol! Can't wait to hear about your photo lead. And I enjoyed the paragraph from your journal. Have a great day! Susan

Your paragraph from your journal is wonderful. It feels good to just be!
You just reminded me that I need to head to the Hancock Fabrics stores in your city and see what's new!

Congrats on the photo biz! You are destined for great things! Love your LO and your affirmation. Acknowledgment is the first step. It must be something about the 30's. I use to be a people pleaser and stressed at the thought of people not liking me. After 30, that all changed. I decided I would do what's best for me. Keep growing!

Hey, lady - if you plan on having blueberries, for some reason you have to plant 2. Maybe something about blueberries being too prissy to be inbred? I don't know - it's some kinda complicated gardening thingy!! I'll ask my dad - the retired medic-now-farmer!
:O)

That was a beautiful and thoughtful gift that your friend gave you. I agree with everyone else nice journaling. I know what you mean about the blueberries. I've been having a really nice relationship with them also this summer. I think we've been going through at least 2 containers a week. Check out my blog, I just made the blueberry muffins from Martha Stewart's baking book on Sunday. They were sooooo good. I have a picture of them up.

OMG - I totally admire you for your courage to post something so intimate. I mean if you ask me - I think you have it girl. I mean you look so young to have three youngins' and a hubby and cane sew like nobody's business. You have actually inspired me. Lately I have not been sewing only because I didn't like the way I was looking in some of my garments. I mean I sewed them well and just as the directions directed but I realized it was just me. I have to either learn to accept me or change it. On to other news. I totally loved PR5 . I am rooting for Korto. love her style. . I think they should have sent the rocker chic home. Congrats on your good news and box of patterns. The new Vogue and mccalls patterns kind of inpsire me to sew again. Good luck with your sewing and sorry to be so long winded.

LOL on the bad knitting mojo day - today I braved putting all the stitches back on the needle and straightening them out/picking them up with a crochet hook. I am pleased to report that they are all back where they should be and we had no casualties. LOL!
Oh, and I'm in love with blueberries too. Also blackberries and raspberries.

Your friend did a wonderful thing, surprising you like that! And I couldn't agree more: the kindness of people never ceases to amaze me, and YOU my friend, you are one of those people, one I call FRIEND from my heart! (((HUGS)))
