I have to say thanks to you all for your kind words. Today is a better day and my uncle is really holding up well. Now before I cry, let's move on to something else lol.
Remember this post on my next sewing projects? That was what? April 13th? I have totally changed my mind lol. But more on that later! LOL
We ended up having a pretty good weekend...despite the death of my cousin.
My kids let me know that it had been a minute since I baked...hmm ok! LOL, so Friday while they were in school I made Paula's Lemon Cake.
OMG. This cake is SO good!!! Once it was cut, it was over lol. It took all my power not to cut it before they came home. I think the last of it was gone last night. But we did have guests over Saturday night.Tee hee.
I made a Fettucine Alfredo dish umm Thursday I think using this recipe
SO GOOD. Now, I was going to take pics as I added all the ingredients, but umm...what had happened wuz lol. I just didnt lol. I ended up adding in shrimp, chicken, and broccoli to it. DIVINE.
That's all the food pics lol. Gotta do better with that lol.
There won't be too much fattening food next week lol. Gotta have balance lol.
For Nora and Tany, here is a pic of "little" Max lol.
You should see all the pics I had to take BEFORE I got this one lol. Max would NOT sit still until I put his leash on lol. He is such a good puppy. Love my Max!!! OH, Emmy HATES Max. Seriously. I had NO clue dogs could be jealous...until Max came lol.
The kids did some 4-wheeler riding....and I know, I know...I was a bad parent and didn't enforce the safety gear....I already know of two people who will be sending me emails lol. I'm ready lol. Love you both though lol.
Tony and I got in on the fun this time. I LOVE this picture of Tony and Kayla.
Awww, look how he is looking at her. I have NO clue what she is looking at lol.
Can you see my face? I can't either...Kayla's puff is in the way lol.
Here is a pic of Jaelyn...mainly for Stacey lol
And one for Virginia lol
Kayla decided she wanted a flower in her hair:
a closeup...for LO purposes :-)
You know she had to get her "pose" on lol
Sun and all lol.
This picture totally makes me smile:
Tony hates the dishwasher. Me..not so much lol. I will load it in a minute. Well he washed dishes and Kayla helped. Just made my heart smile!
Ok, that's it.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Toodles!
I'm glad you're feeling better and you and your family had such a good time together! Those family moments are priceless and I still remember some of them from my childhood. I'm quite sure your children will remember this when they grow up and it will help them when life gets rough.
Absolutely GORGEOUS pictures! THANK you for Max's pictures, OMG you're right he's so big now!!!! I LOVE him; he’s my dream puppy, LOL!!!!
Have a great week, my friend!

Crying is ok too. ;-)
I'm sorry for your loss. You seem to have no problem expressing gratitude and love for your family and your blessings. Something I need to do better with, because we sometimes forget that we're not promised a tomorrow. Thanks Adrienne.
**Lemon Cake. I don't need another excuse to make this but it was soooooo good.

Food, family and fun! You are too blessed to be stressed! Enjoy your week!
P.S. I checked out the Hancock Fabrics on 280 because of your fabric finds. That is the biggest Hancock store I've seen in decades. Well worth the ride.

I love to see your family photos and the togetherness you all share. It's very encouraging. I know it isn't always like that but its nice knowing you have the good times. Sometimes after a tragedy you need to let some things go and just enjoy life.
Peace and Joy to you and yours!

Because you and your family are dealing with a loss, you are allowed to make any fattening dish you want to!
But, girl, you really made a Paula Deen recipe? LOL! Is everyone 5 pounds heavier? Did you see her on Oprah? I think she put two sticks of butter in a cake. When Oprah said something about it, Paula replied, I'm your cook, not your doctor. I about fell out!
I'm glad you guys managed to live a little life this weekend. :)
Posted by: sappmama | April 28, 2008 at 08:14 PM
Have I mentioned like a thousand times that I think your children are adorable? Well, I still think they are... And lemon is my absolute favorite cake. So know I have to make Paula's Lemon Cake. My husband is not a huge fan of lemon, which means I will eat half the cake by myself - see what you've done? You are responsible for the 10 pounds I'm about to gain next weekend. Thanks a lot Adrienne. LOL

My prayers are with you and your family. The cake looks so good. I just love Paula's baked goodies.
