It was a rough couple of days! But I'm out of it now!! LOL
This is currently on repeat on Tony's Ipod...he LOVES this song and he loves to hook the laptop to the surround sound and play it...LOUD lol, now I'm stuck on it! LOL
My MRI came back normal (THANK GOD) so now I have to have yet more testing done to see what is causing these God awful headaches.
I do not have to continue with jury duty...WOO HOO
Lookie at the gift that I got! My Mommy loves me!
She said she wanted me to smile lol. Yep, I was in the dumps this weekend lol. But this sureeeeee did the trick, there is more, but I'll take pics of it later. I was trying to think of what I was going to do with this...but now I know lol. This fabric is perfect for this dress. I HAVE to finish Jaelyn's dress so I can sew for ME! lol
Then, I had the most awesome-est mail day today. Tany sent me this:
*GASP* I swear, I was about to rear-end someone in the kid pickup line. I was SO trying to look at this and drive. The fashion in here is INSANE! I LOVE IT!!! My mind was on OVERLOAD last night. I've never done a "knock-off" But I saw a couple of things in here that are REALLY do-able for me. I am so going to try...it is..JUST FABRIC! And yes it is in Spanish, but I've been learning it for the last three months, so I'm OKAY. I can figure it out...I think! LOL> I took French in school, I WISH I would have taken Spanish! LOL
Thank you Tany!!! I am THRILLED to pieces with this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over the weekend, there was mucho cooking...but that's always lol. We love to cook AND eat over here. Now one thing I do, is let the kids loose in the kitchen. HOWEVER, it's not just a free for all but I will take out all the ingredients, and tools then just give them the recipe. Welllllllllllllllllllllll Miss Kayla D. decided that she wanted to make chocolate cheese cake. I have a really easy recipe that I let her use (she has made it before) so it's not bad, but BAAAAAAAAAAAAAABYYYYYYYYYYY it can get messy. I dare not take my camera in the kitchen when the Diva Chef is in there lol. Here are a couple pics after she finished making a HUGE MESS:(we HAD to clean it first lol)
She is working up a storm:
Check out the finished product:
And yes it was GOOD! She said, that's how they make them look on Food Network lol.
We had seafood night...Lobster tails, steamed lemon and herb shrimp, FRIED tilapia, and baked french fries...yes it was all well rounded lol. Fried food is okay every now and then lol. Can anyone tell me how to keep lobster tails from curling when you cook them?? Sunday I cooked by request...baked pork chops, turnip greens, corn bread and mac & cheese....
Crap, I forgot the pic of the mac and cheese lol oh well!
Ok, that is IT for me!! I hope you guys have a wonderfully fantastic day!
P.S I will work on getting caught up on my emails this week ;-)
Toodles!!!!!
Don't you just love how the children can mess your whole kitchen!!! looks yummy

It's very cool when they are old enough to clean the kitchen after they make a mess! About the lobster tails, skewer them! That's the easiest way to keep them from curling.

The book looks really interesting. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Posted by: Lovely | March 04, 2008 at 06:21 AM
Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. My husband suffers from migraines and the cause is a mystery, he has figured out how to manage them and that's all we can do.
Thank God I was eating my bagel this morning while looking at all your yummy food!
Have a great day!We have temperature in the high 50s by us and that is a cause for celebration.
PS: Your daughter looks so proud of herself and she should!

Insert a skewer in the lobster tail but make sure it goes down the complete length of the tail and then drive to my house to serve them to me while they are still warm:+) I love when you get good news girl! lol

Those outfits are gorgeous!! You have to make both of them!!
I remember "cooking" in my Mom's kitchen too!! Great stuff and great memories!
Posted by: Monica | March 04, 2008 at 01:26 PM
Great post, Adrienne. And I'm glad you're feeling better.
Girl, you're a better mom than me. I'm not much on letting kids work with me in the kitchen. Maybe when she gets a little older...we'll see.
As far as the lobster tails, I don't ever cook them, myself. But I do know that all you have to do is use a wooden skewer in the tails and they'll stay straight.
Toodles!
