Look at what I saw as I took the kids to school yesterday morning:
Yeah, a few flurries...mind you it was 74 the day before lol...ONLY in Alabama lol.
LOL Do you guys have any big plans for today?!?!
We will celebrate at home. We learned LONG ago that we do NOT like to go out on holidays. Not Mother's Day or Father's Day, Grandparents day...NOTHING. Everything is SO crowded. NOT fun when you have the kids in tow either. Soooooooooo we will have a very nice dinner at home. I plan on making Chicken breasts stuffed with fontina cheese, tomato and basil, veggies on the side. I've made this a couple times before and it's a huge hit. Tony and I have our wine....the kids have sparkling grape juice....should be a good time. LOL I will also do our traditional Red Velvet Cake (remember I only do it TWICE a year lol)...heart shaped of course. It will last two days lol.
You know pictures will follow lol.
Let me introduce you to my new favorite thing!!!!
My micro 1gig memory card for my phone. OMG. Now, the ONLY reason I even decided to go ahead and get this is because I have started downloading some audio books that are NOT supported by Mac or Mac products (IPOD), how insane is that...so since my phone is a Windows device I can use this...BABY, let me tell you I can do so much more with this than I thought!! But more on that later! lol
Yesterday I went on a field trip with Aj about an hour from home...kids are SO funny lol. Here are a couple of my fav pics.. I can't post too many because of the other kids in them... :-(
Don't you just love that lime green?!!? LOL
He loved this! LOL...he kept saying look at all the "me's" lol.
This place has all kinds of old stuff in it for the kids to play with, touch and all that stuff....well when I saw this I could ONLY think of Carla lol
She LOVES a vintage machine...is THAT vintage enough for you? LOL
After the kids got back on the bus *tee hee*, I went to this nice little yarn shop...
What did I get?
Some yummy Malabrigo for a nice little project that I am doing with Stacey on March 1st lol. Yep...I'm getting ready! LOL More on that later lol
A peek inside the store?
That yummy stuff is called Koigu....*sigh* so nice lol
That's for you girl lol
I promise, I have never wanted Noro as much as I did yesterday. I want a noro scarf just like the one in the picture but in a different colorway lol. I thought I was going to get away from the Noro bug....I guess not lol.
Ok, that's enough for today lol.
Toodles!
oooh i'm first!!
gotta love google reader!
i wanna hear more about this memory card!

Red Velvet, yummmmm...I only do mine once a year, at Christmas (and it lasts about 2 days, too, lol).
We're having a quiet night at home, too. It's just more cozy that way.

We don't go out and eat on Holidays either to many people.Happy Valentine!!:)

Some flurries! You should come to the Chicagoland area! We have had tons of it! It hasn't done that in years here. It's very cold too! But I have to go to work today!
AJ is always so handsome. I do love the lime green shirt. That should make some really nice layouts! I can see the color combinations now!
The yarn is scrumptious! I love it! Those colors are very inviting! I needed to look away but I couldn't! LOL! I have bought a lot of yarn lately. I don't need anymore for a while! So STOP IT! LOL!
Thanks for another great post!

Happy Valentine's day!
Love the pic of your son in the mirror! It's a lot of fun!

Don't you love going on field trips, you get to see where your kids pick up some of their crazy habits, and then you say to yourself Oh! I guess that is normal.
Did you pick up anything on QVC? Moniques CHA pics were the best - so no more shopping for me until Spring!!! Then it's On...
Have a great Valentine's Day

its not just there. last week it was 71 degrees in the morning and within the same day it got down to 28 and we had a snow/ice storm that evening! not fun at all.
i've been debating on getting one of those for my phone. i need the micro one. i just don't do much with my phone since i don't like it anymore. so i think i'll wait till next year when i upgrade.

Happy Valentine's Day! Usually we don't go out on holidays either, but Blu Coral is laid back enough to never really be on a wait. We're there enough to be VIPs anyway!
Too crazy on the flurries - today we actually don't have snow, for once!!
Posted by: robin | February 14, 2008 at 09:42 AM
Ooh, fun!!!! CHOM, right? That is one of the girls' favorite places!!!
We are doing lunch because it will be so crowded tonight! SO funny, cause we'll do the wine and sparkling grape juice too. Great minds DO think alike!!! lol
Posted by: cheryl | February 14, 2008 at 09:45 AM
Girl you think your weather is crazy, you should live here. We can have all 4 seasons in one day. I'll send you pictures of what our snow looks like. Trust me, it ain't flurries either.
I have had a micro card since I got my phone, it's great isn't it. It stores everything and then you can just download it to the computer, if you choose to.
Aj looks so cute. Hope you had agood time on the trip.
Happy Love Day to you and your family. We are staying in too. We are doing an indoor picnic and a movie. Can't wait to get home from work.

Lime green is great! Especially in a bazillion reflections.
There's something about those vintage sewing machines that makes my heart sing. Those decals, the simplicity, and the fact that many still work today.

Happy Valentines!

OMG! You KNOW that machine looks like CANDY to me! LOL! Honey, YES!
It is right up my alley!
I was initially going to comment on how cute AJ is -- he is! -- but now I'm all distracted by the vintage goodness!
Posted by: sappmama | February 14, 2008 at 07:12 PM

Happy Valentine's DAy Adrienne! I have a friend who won;t touch red velvet cake because she once how much red dye was in it... I was like, We would not eat half of what we do if we saw how it was made... pass that cake!LOL.

Only in Alabama is correct! I walked outside and it was snowing...what kind of tomfoolery is going on around here?!?!? Then to make matters worst when I got to the conference center before the career fair started, I told my co-workers (who had been there since the crack of dawn) that it was snowing outside they thought I was telling a tale! HA! Little man looks like he had a blast with his cute self!
Posted by: Neecha | February 14, 2008 at 10:47 PM
Yep, I want to hear more about the memory card as well.
AJ looks so cute in the mirrored shot. Too funny.
Did you succumb to the Koigu? I know I would have.
Posted by: Wanda | February 14, 2008 at 11:34 PM
I just love field trips! And it is sad that we can't (or should I say, shouldn't) put pix of the other kids on our blogs? Sometimes the shots are so cute and they're having such fun. ANYWAY...comes with the territory, I guess :-).
I love that green on AJ...he's so cute.
That yarn is GORGEOUS!!! Hope you bought more than just one....
Posted by: Dawn Bibbs | February 15, 2008 at 09:05 AM
OMG - that store looks too, too yummy. I would never have gotten back on that bus with the kids - they'd have thought I'd been abducted. That is fiber heaven. Wow.
:O)
