Ok, No podcast today. They will be back at the first of the year. I have a lot already recorded, and I have some great things planned so yay!
I will however leave you with the last Blog Spotlight for 2007!!!!
Drum Roll Please........
Now, this young lady has a FAB blog. Not only is she a knitter, but she is an AWESOME photographer. Go by and check her out today. Her blog posts really make you think!!!
Today I am going to do a review, and it's not a very good one, but I believe in letting you guys know MY opinion about stuff....good and not so good.
I've been following this blog Healthy Textures for a while now. I decided, sometime not long ago (maybe right before my diagnosis) to start taking care of my own hair. To release myself from the bondage of the salon. NOW, nothing wrong with going to the salon, but, well you know. I've always maintained my hair inbetween salon visits, but I wanted to do all of my hair care. So I started reading this blog, just going through ALL the information. Making notes, reading, reading, reading. Don't get me wrong it's a GREAT site, BUT, the trouble started when she introduced the DVD pictured below.
Now, while it is a great video, and the total cost with shipping was only a little over $20.00, I feel it was a waste of money. The lady that did the videos has a small series of videos on youtube. You can view them
HERE. Now the thing that got me, was you can see EVERYTHING on youtube, that is on the dvd with the exception of the rollersetting part. Maybe I thought the dvd would be more, but it says that it is a rollersetting DVD, but the rollersetting section is very short. Like I said. Everything else can be seen on youtube. FOR FREE. lol
So don't waste your money, just go check out youtube.
GOT A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE SOON! NO I AM NOT PREGNANT LOL. But well, it's huge to me! LOL
Ok, so umm, not much more going on, still organizing, getting rid of....but it's all good stuff. I'll show pics as soon as everything is complete.
Been feeling kinda blah. Had a big pity party yesterday but I cried for a while and got over it.
Been sleeping a lot, if you've emailed me, I'm getting to them.
Kids are PAST ready for Christmas. Aj asks me EVERYDAY if he can open his gifts yet...NO YOU CAN'T.
That's it you guys have a great day!!!
Glad you been feeling better!

it's your party and you cry if you want too, girl!!! Sometimes, you have to let it all out, if you keep stuff in it can become TOXIC, and that's NEVER a GOOD THING.
I feel you on the Christmas thing, Jaree is driving me nuts, with this ever evolving Christmas list of hers. I told her, girl look, Santa is done, so don't bring me no MORE LISTS....LOL
Girl, take it easy. Get plenty of rest and take care of yourself.
Love ya
Dana

You do need to let out your emotions. You have every right to do it.
Thanks for the heads up on the hair website. I hate when crap like that happens! But what can you do?
Take Care and remember you are in my prayers.

I used to maintain my hair, but have gotten lazy! That is my "Me-Time"! Have you ever tried any of Carol's Daughter products? I hear they are really good for "Our" hair textures.

Aw, Adrienne, you are too kind! Thanks for the blog spotlight of 2007! I am honored!
Can't wait to see the things you have planned for 2008, as well as your organized space!

Hope you're feeling better. I visit Healthy Textures' site often and agree its a great site. However, I did not order the DVD, b/c I've finally master rollersetting my hair . It's shame that the rollersetting part was very short and to think it takes me at least 30 minutes to get all my rollers just right...lol

Great info! My hair would laugh at whatever dvd was offered to help, teach or tame it... not any old laugh, it would do a dr. evil laugh! lol
Thanks girl!

its ok to have a hard day. You have a lot going on. You seem to have a great, positive attitude that will take you far. But being real is also very good for the soul and the healing process. So, cry whenever you need to cry girl.
Looking forward to hearing your HUGE announcemnent!

WARNING....This is the Momma in me that always has to offer unsolicited advice. I noticed that the time shown for your last post was around midnight - shouldn't you be sleeping at that time? I'm just asking LOL Seriously, take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. I know it sounds like a cliche, but it helps. God Bless.

Girl, you are NOT alone when it comes to the salons. I can't stand wasting my time in them, so cheers to you for working toward your own independence.
Shoot, sometimes you need a pity party in order to keep pushing through. I know you've got a great hubby and support system of homies in the 'Ham that'll get ya through. I may be MIA from here and there, but ya know you're in my prayers.
LOL, kids will be kids. AJ still cracks me up, "These nuts." ROFL!!!
