**LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE SONG YOU HEAR....ABOUT 10 OR SO YEARS AGO, MY PARENTS HAD THE FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY AT MY MOMS THEIR HOUSE, WELL WE ALL HAD TO SING TO GET OUR GIFT....YEAH..FUN...AND WHEN THIS SONG CAME ON MY MOM AND HER SISTERS WERE FIGHTING OVER THE MIC...LIKE LITERALLY TRYING TO TAKE THE MIC FROM EACH OTHER, LAYING ON THE BOTTOM PART OF THE FIREPLACE...STILL SINGING, TRYING TO GET THE MIC. I heard it the other day and was just tickled lol**
Happy Monday guys!! It was a pretty quiet weekend around here. I wasn't feeling my best, so I pretty much stayed in, with the exception of going to Aj's game Saturday morning. They won 40 to 20. YAY! I did have a hot minute on Saturday where I thought I was going to sew, but after doing my girls hair....ummm, not so much lol. So maybe next time. BTW, I still don't have my machine back, but I was going to pull out my VERY old Brother! LOL.
Aj lost his first tooth yesterday. Awwww, it's the LAST first lost tooth in my house. Too bad he is not completely snag! LOL. For some reason, my kids teeth never come out until the new teeth are coming in. There is still hope for the top teeth! LOL
And the tooth....awwww *sniff, sniff*. I pulled out my 50mm for this one lol. It has been a SERIOUSLY long time since I shot with it. My 17-40L has been hogging the camera....LOVE my 50mm!!!
Saturday, Asia was at the door, and here comes the cat from across the street. Now we got her from across the street and the kids seem to think this is her brother...hmmmm. Well after they sniffed the door for a while.....
HE DECIDED TO STAY FOR A WHILE. HA! He left eventually but I'm not sure when lol.
I started on the Bold and Bulky Mini Cardigan from Fitted Knits....
This top picture was taken about 5 or 6 rows after cast on......
This picture was taken ummm, around 17 or so rows?? I just put the sleeves on scrap yarn, so I'll try it on shortly...
I FINALLY got my hands on some of the MM NOTEWORTHY. I was SERIOUSLY trying to hold out on buying this. BUT OMG. I can't wait until I get some energy to scrapbook!!!!
And I scrapped a little bit...I think I started this one day last week lol, but I finished it Friday. I told y'all I loved these pics from my trip to Tennessee with Jaelyn (Sorry Stacey, no pics this weekend lol)
I love the way this came out...
Products: Crate Paper and Bazzill lol.
Some close ups...
I used the lovely creative memories wavy paper cutter on this. OMG. I am SO IN LOVE WITH THIS THING!!! Thanks Shakhan!!!!!!!!
I used my Silhouette to cut out my letters and the swirley things. I LOVE MY SILHOUETTE!!!!!!!!!!
The font I used was Cream Puff. Aj helped me put them on lol. One thing I will say, I used the QuickStripz made for the Silhouette by Bazzill. I do NOT like them. They do NOT have enough adhesive on the back and THAT is frustrating. So....well enough about that lol. I will have to show you guys how freaking easy this thing is to use. A video tutorial is near! LOL
SOME GREAT LINKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stacey had a WONDERFUL post yesterday on Sojourner Truth. Please go check it out. I was SO unaware of what I found out!!! VERY INFORMATIVE POST!!!!
There are some great scrapbook inspiration blogs around...This is a new one called "OUTTA THIS FUNK"
I hope you guys like it too! Not sure how many of you know about it, but it looks really neat!
Ok, I've been emailing back and forth with a few of you about my organizing process. This all started when I found out I still had cancer. Well....I thought I wasn't going to make it for a BRIEF moment and started to get things, "TOGETHER" lol. Well, I know I will be fine, and I have always been organized but I am just taking it to another level!!! So here are some of the blogs that I frequent. They have REALLY good tips, and some have PDF's that you can download. Really good information...Some of you may not need a blog or any tips to help you get and stay organized, but if you do, here ya go...
Jeri's Organizing & Decluttering News
Ok, that is it. See you guys later. Keep me in your thoughts, this is my LAST WEEK OF TREATMENT!!!! The doctors have told me this will be my worse week, but I don't want to claim that. LOL.
**THE CHRISTMAS SONG**
Best wishes for the last week of treatment!
PS loving the music!!

I am so glad you are working on a pattern from Fitted Knits. I just ordered it, I mean asked Santa for it.
The best for you this week, we'll be thinking about you.

If I weren't in the Christmas mood already (I AM! LOl) then I would be now after hearing the song! One of my favorites!
I LOVE your layout. Very different for you, I thin, but really GOOD!!!!
I sure hope your week of treatment goes well. PLEASE let me get the kids for you this week if you're having a hard time!!!!

my #1 daughter lost her first a couple of weeks ago. they had started to come in 2 months ago and weren't lose at all. the dentist wanted to pull them, but i told him no. they will get loose. and 2 months later they came on out. i pulled them with tiny pliers cause they were so small and i couldn't get a grip cause the other tooth was blocking it. she did not like that! mine did that when i was a kid though.

Awww on the "last first tooth" lost! He is so cute! Glad you are feeling more optimistic - I know you are going to be FINE! But organizing feels good, when you're in the mood to do it. Someone told me I was "nesting" when I told her about my organization kick - I'm like, um NO. Or, I guess it depends on what she meant by nesting. LOL! Can't wait to see that Fitted Knits sweater!

Adrienne ~ I check your blog everyday even though I don't always post a comment...that's how I judge how you are feeling...if there's a post - girlfriend is doing okay...no post - say an extra prayer. You will be in my prayers daily this week that this last round of treatments will cure all that ails and that you will be back up and around in no time!
Much Love,
Carolyn

My 50mm is my favorite lens too. It makes me move around more to get the shot and I think the pictures end up more interesting. I so need the links on organizing. My house is getting the better of me at the moment. Hang in there, wishing you much strength for the week. xo kathy

You were much busier than me this weekend. Your AJ is growing up and soon he will be contending with having girlfriends (I hope much later than sooner). I really like the color of your yarn, it is a really rich color. Thanks for the links on organizing, and Stacey's blog post on Sojourner Truth, a knitter and feminism who fought for voting rights for women as black women did not have right to vote until 1920.

Adrienne,
Stacey had a great post about Sojourner Truth. Thanks for the link. I am proud that she chose to live out her last years here in (the Quaker section back then) Battle Creek. Her gravesite at Oakhill Cemetery is registered as an historic site and is very nicely identified as such. Tina Allen from California was commissioned several years ago to sculpt a monument of Sojourner Truth. As you come off I-94 and into downtown Battle Creek, her monument sits in a park across from City Hall with a big Welcome to Battle Creek. It is lit up at night and looks so beautiful. November 26 is Sojourner Truth Day in Michigan. There is always a service at her grave site and we even have a Sojourner Truth choir made up of young children. My sister's foster son is a decendent of hers on his mother's side. Can you tell we're proud of her here??? And now I can brag that she was a needleworker just like me. I had my calendar marked that this was your last week of treatment. You are and will always be in my prayers. Love those pics of A. J.

AJ looks awfully happy that he lost that tooth! So cute ;-) I think he's looking forward to some cold cash from the tooth fairy! Take it easy during that last week o' treatment...thinkin' of ya.

Remember that you are loved. You are my source of inspiration and aspiration. Even though we don't know each other, I have gotten to know you through your words and pictures. You are stronger than any cancer...You will be in my prayers!!
Peace and many Blessings

So, let me get this straight. You CUT OUT those swirly things??? I am so impressed!
Posted by: Marlena | December 18, 2007 at 12:46 PM
Ok, how did I miss this post? :-) AJ looks so cute. He's just like Jayla. Her new teeth started coming in before the baby teeth even came out...so she wasn't really a snaggle tooth either :-). I'm looking forward to those top 2 coming out.
Your LO looks great. Keep up the good work.

My grandson has three teeth missing, he looks so cute. I will see if he will agree to a photo shoot. I like that Cream Puff font. I have the Cricut cutter, but I haven't really found a font that I'm crazy about yet. I hope I'm not going to be disappointed in this machine. Unfortunately, I had not heard of Silhouette at the time. Will you be posting photos of your organization effort? I hope so.
