I swear it's like breathing a breath of fresh air. This weekend...to say the LEAST was ummm. Well I'll just leave it at that! LOL
First, thanks for all your emails and comments about the podcast! I will most def be doing one but I will also still have written interviews, because some people are really comfortable with that.
I have a lot lined up but one I am REALLY excited about is Kathryn. OMG...she is SUCH a seamstress!!!! I mean, this is ONE talented lady! That one is coming very soon!
I FINALLY took a picture in Butterick 5100.(someone tell me why the lady on the envelope modeling view c has this on backwards???) I can now scratch this one off of the Fall 2007 Sewing List.
I can not begin to tell you how freaking HOT I was in this! OMG. I thought I was going to pass out before Tony could take the picture!! It was SO hot yesterday!!! I took this off SO fast. I did NOT realize how thick this knit fabric was! LOL
I have cut out my muslin for my first BWOF pattern!! YAY, so I will sew that today and before the week is out, I hope to show you guys my first BWOF! YAY lol...ok enough of that!
IN SCRAPPING NEWS:
OMG, I FINALLY got my hands on some October Afternoon. I have been drooling over this stuff since CHA! I am so about to hoard this!! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!! At least I think so lol....
It was getting dark when I snapped this pic, but the colors are dead on. I LOVE this!!!
In knitting, the leftovers vest has been frogged until another time. It was going fine, then I got tired of it. It's just ENDLESS sts but still. So I took it off the needles put it BACK into balls and started on this:
Yes my dears, that is Tree Jacket. This pattern is making me SO happy right now. So far so good. I have divided the sleeves, so hopefully it will all end up well! LOL. I'm back to knitting through my movies so hopefully I'll be done soon!
How about some freaky stuff.....not THAT kinda freaky, but on a BEAUTIFUL, windless day...sun shining, birds chirping....I walk out my house to see this:
yes you are seeing correctly.....
A tree fell on our family van! LOL. That gave me a headache. I'm glad we only drive it when we are going on a long trip(by long I mean more than one hour lol), and that it isn't my primary car! LOL I drive it once a week..MAYBE so it just won't "sit there".
I went on a field trip with Aj too, I think it was Thursday? LOL......Some pics? Sure....
Ok, now THIS was funny...he did NOT want the animals to eat out of his hand....so he fed them from a cup!
But wait...he warms up and lets the pony lick his hand...can you see his face? LOL
He warms up some more to the idea....and keeps letting animals lick his hand...eww lol.
I would have taken more pics but we were rained out. I was SO glad I took my point and shoot!! This one guy had his SLR and BOY was HE upset!!! He said So many profane words lol...yeah his camera is basically screwed. He had a 30D. SO glad I left mine at home! LOL (IT WAS POURING!!!!!!!!!)
Alright guys....I am on a "Lutha" kick...so bear with me, but it is SO amazing...to be loved....ROFLOL
Toodles!!!
******SO AMAZING by Luther Vandross******
Girl you look totally hot in that fit......
Wow, I love it! We are so alike in our styles, which is funny to me. Love the boots with that!
Also, are you losing weight girl, you look so slim, not that you ever looked heavy, but you look so slim in this pic.
Anyway, I wanna know what went on this weekend.....LOL

I'm so sorry a tree fell on your van; I hope the insurance covers all the damage
The weather has been hot here in Portugal too! It feels like early September...

Wow, that dress looks great on you!
Glad the van wasn't really damaged from that tree! And that you all don't use that for transpo all the time, whew.

Oh WOW!! I hated this pattern when i first saw it on the Butterick website. But you look so stylish in it!! Wow!
It's turned very cold in Paris since the middle of last week... Wanna swap a few degrees? :)

You look wonderful in that dress!!Great job!!
That tree jacket is going to look nice when you finish. Can't wait love the color!!
Great pictures of your ds on his field trip.
Posted by: gold | October 22, 2007 at 05:56 AM
Okay, I saw this pattern in the catalog and passed on it. BUT that goes to show you it is all about vision! That looks HOT! You need to rock it with your hair pulled back in a pony tail or bun with large Jackie O sun glasses and a clutch bag a la J-Lo.
That is awful about your van!
Now answer me this.. When do you sleep??? LOL
Posted by: Tearsa | October 22, 2007 at 06:39 AM
OOh no! @ tree on van. That is freaky. Glad it isn't too bad...right? Just have a dent in it right?
Love your outfit Adrienne!! ;o) You look fab in all your "hotness"! It really is crazy how the picture never tells the backstory of what was really going on when you snapped the pic. I so know about that!
I didn't realized you frogged the vest. Meh...oh well. I am lovin' the color of your tree jacket! So pumpkiny!! :oD
Too funny @ AJ I would have been feeding that creature from a cup too! :op Haha!

A.J is adorable!! What's with the tree on your van A?? That's not right! Get it fixed, the best childhood family memories are traveling in those vans. Okay now- listen down to the real nitty gritty- October Afternoon!!!!! OMG!!!! It's too early to be droolong over here! Direct a sister to a paper store so she can get her fix!!!! Uhemm please??
Posted by: Christina | October 22, 2007 at 08:56 AM
I like that dress and it does look really nice with the belt and boots. I ordered the pattern this weekend as Butterick had a two day online pattern sale of $4.99. Now I have to purchase the fabric and make a slash. Your knitting project is looks good thus far.
Posted by: Sheri Maple | October 22, 2007 at 08:57 AM
That dress is hot. It did not look like much to me on the pattern envelope so I passed on it. Now I have to rethink that. I love the belt with it.
Posted by: Lashell | October 22, 2007 at 09:08 AM
Adrienne ~ isn't Kathryn's sewing just SO AMAZING!!! I first found her through Sewing World and am lucky to now call her a friend! She is who I aspire to sew like!
The dress is very cute and looks great with the belt and boots. Once it gets a little cooler it will be a perfect outfit!
And I hope that the tree did not do a lot of damage to your van.
Posted by: Carolyn | October 22, 2007 at 09:13 AM
Very nice dress! It looks better on you than on the pattern. I love the pictures of AJ! He is a cutie!
I am sorry to hear about your van! That's terrible! I hope insurance covers any damage!
I can't wait to see what you make with the new scrapping stuff! I love it!
Posted by: Cassandra | October 22, 2007 at 09:25 AM

I really love your dress, you look GREAT in it too. I have that pattern and am now inspired to make it too. What color is your dress, grey or black?
Posted by: Faye Lewis | October 22, 2007 at 06:43 PM
Just like everyone else I kept going right past this pattern. You are obviously a visionary and innovator! From now on anytime I have doubts about a pattern, can I have you make it first to convince me?
Posted by: Toni | October 22, 2007 at 07:10 PM

The little man, AJ, is too cute! I love the pics of him! So Amazing was the song my ex and I danced to at our wedding. LOL, but I still love Luther! That dress is gorgeous! The boots and the belt accent it perfectly. Sorry about your van, but I'm glad you and the kids weren't in it when it happened. Don't let it give you a headache, but I know dealing with insurance companies will do that to you though.
Posted by: Rolana | October 22, 2007 at 08:33 PM
Wow! You look absolutely stunning in that dress!
Hope the van recovers soon.

Great outfit! I'm also so happy that you're doing Tree! I have that on my short list, but I always like to see someone else make something first, to suss out any issues in the pattern.
Posted by: Marlena | October 23, 2007 at 12:20 PM
Dang, gurl, that outfit is SMOKIN' HOT! I love it. You look so sophisticated.
