Ya'll all know that I am a SAHM/ photographer. I love what I do, I love my clients, (only had one REALLY bad one). I love all things photography! LOL I read a lot on photography, study my camera a LOT, try new techniques...different stuff. I have "NOT" gone to school for photography at "this" point, but it is something I am seriously considering in the near future. I am SO not above learning, and I do not CLAIM to know it all. What I have learned is mainly self taught. My clients all know that I am self taught and they do NOT have a problem with it.
I read a LOT of photography blogs. This one has to be my favorite. Take a few minutes and click THIS link and watch the video. I would seriously give my left leg to find a bride willing to do this for me. Granted this is PROBABLY a paid model....but still....
****ETA Patrick from the above website contacted me and that is NOT a paid model. She is indeed a bride who was married a week before, her husband is a photographer, and invited a bunch of his friends over to help shoot the session. VERY NICE! Thanks Patrick for clearing that up...NEVER ASSUME GUYS!! LOL****
I have seen hundreds of these videos, but this one just gives me chill bumps. EVERY TIME I LOOK AT IT! Talk about inspiring.
Here is their website. Just awesome work.
Moving on......
Thanks to Tawnya who sent this very special gift to little Miss Kayla! She loves it!
Here is a little sneaky sneaky of my Anthro Inspired Capelet. LOL, Erica said it looks like a "Jaelyn sized sweater...I had to try it on and show her it does fit me lol.
And a little sneaky sneaky of Flair.... I have a very busy weekend, so I'm HOPING that I can get a pic in my garments so you guys can see the true fit...MONDAY...cross your fingers and toes! lol
Ya'll remember Asia? Click her name, she used to be so little!!!
See her kitty "bling"? lol
She see ya'll looking at her! LOL Yes, she posed for the camera lol
Kids made pizza last weekend....let's thank the Mr. Tony for the pics...lol
Aj is SUPPOSED to be putting the cheese ON the pizza not in his mouth...lol
They put SO much cheese on the pizza lol....it was good though lol
What else...ummm
My fabric for my Vogue coat came last week, or the week before lol and yes it is THAT red. Isn't it Ann!? LOL
I also got my fabric from Fashionista Fabrics. It's SO beautiful. Already cut out...lol just waiting on my new machine, but more on that when it gets here! YAY!! lol

Wow, what a cool video of the "bride". My mouth dropped open when I saw her in the water...as if a wedding dress isn't heavy enough without being WET! :-) Great shots though.
Kayla is such a cutie.
Have a great weekend!

loved watching that video....so cool!!!!
Asia is getting so BIG!!
and Abbey talked Joe into that exact one the other day!

Wow that video is amazing! You know, if the bride doesn't really care about the dress or isn't worried about getting it ruined, you may be able to do that kind of shoot the next day after the festivities are done (but she'd have to get her hair and make up done all over again). My friend did a shot in at the beach at sunset and they walked into/along the water as well. It helped that they did this after the reception.

Breath taking blog you sent us all to! Photography is an everyday lesson for me. It's so funny I never looked to see if the girl was a model or not, just at the shape, depth and form of the photos. The idea of the images/background captivated me too much.LOL You're right, would love to shoot a process like that, to see it unfold and the emotion....aaaaahhhh sheer bliss. :)

I think that is one of the reasons I love reading your blog, your a knitter and a photographer. I did the at home course from NY Institute of Photography and I took a couple of classes in college. I had big dreams of being a great Photographer, but alas it just didn't work out. I have my moments, but I've never done weddings just a few portraits of some families I know. I love looking at different photographers websites. Thanks for sending us over there.
I can't wait to see your coat!

i want to see the knits! show us soon okay.
as far as the bridal gown, really cool concept. got me to thinking, i wonder if there are some, somewhere available for much, much, much less. maybe at a thrift store or salvation army... you can also find a vintage prom dress... something you wouldn't mind dirty-ing up for art's sake. kwim?

Thanks for the link to our blog and all the comments. I just wanted to set the record straight about that clip- it was not a model, she was an actual bride who had been married the week before. Her new husband was a photographer and invited a bunch of friends to come and shoot the trash the dress session together. A bunch of us came along and I was the one to shoot and edit the video. Not too sure why everybody thinks it was a model- but anyways- the whole shoot was very real, and a great fun.

OMG, the video is AWESOME!!!! I'm speechless!!!
Now Adrienne, let me tell you: I LOVE your pictures and I think you should take your career more seriously; go to school for photography if you can because there's nothing like learning about what we really love to do (not that you aren't capable of learning all by yourself but we know it's a totally different environment)! Go for it!!!
What a perfect shade of red you have there!!!
