Tuesday night, my son...my baby boy, my husbands name sake, better known to you all as "AJ" had his Graduation. Now, I took a ton of pictures, more of which you will probably see later, this is my all time favorite, well these are for right now lol......
<--------mommy lost it right here lol
<-----------can you see how proud he looks???
<-------and here, he was SO happy about his awards!
<-------his bestest friend Bradley. You should hear them talking on the phone! lol
I was doing SO good. UNTIL.....they had the kids take a carnation to their mom....and after that, the kids went to the back to put on their cap and gown....while they were changing, they put on a slide show for the year.....and played the "theme song" from Toy Story...You've got a friend in me. Not ONE mom had a dry eye. Including me. I bawled. My baby is growing up!!! Such a bitter sweet moment! No more paying day care! WOO HOOO, but my son will now be in "big school". Ok, moving on before I cry ONCE more...
In other news, I was showing hubby Erica's blog, so he could see the apron her daugher made...GUESS who walks in my bedroom! Yep, that would be Little Miss Jaelyn. Ohhhhh, mommy, will you show me how to make one too!?!?? Please!!? I saw your hancock paper by your machine and the simplicity patterns will only be a dollar tomorrow I can buy my own pattern and we are going on the fabric field trip with Grandma Saturday(anytime we go ANYWHERE with my mom that requires one driving for MORE than 45 minutes, it's called a field trip lol) and I can buy my own fabric with my own money, please mommy. All said without her taking ONE breath. NOT ONE ok? So I looked at Tony and he just shook his head....at this time the phone rings...TALK about perfect timing. It was Grandma, so Jaelyn tells Grandma how one of mommy's friends on the computer let her little girl make an apron and she is only 9 and I'm 11 and I know I can do it. So thanks Erica for inspiring my child! lol, guess you know what "I" will be doing this weekend! lol
How about some knitting content? I am working on the Summertime Tunic, and I HOPE to have it finished, over and done with (is that how it goes Bev?) by Tuesday. I HOPE. I have no mojo for it.I want it finished lol. If nothing comes up lol. Then I will pick up Monica and finish those for my girls. I am going to put knitting for me down and start working on a couple of other knitting projects. Should be fun! My good friend Cassandra FINALLY got her blog on blogspot! tee hee, ya'll go check her out and tell her hello! lol, Cee, it's your turn now girl.....tee hee
And to make this post EVEN longer, lol I was looking at a couple of magazines, and I kept seeing stuff I would like, so my search is now on to find patterns to replicate these delicious designs.
I love this dress. Simple, yet effective. Similar to Simplicity 3759
I love this dress too! lol Another simple one, but will work wonderfully on a hot summer day...... Butterick 5046
Ok, now I just ADORE the bottom of this skirt. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, that fabric! I don't know if it is classified as fabric or "lace" but I love it and will be on the hunt for something similar this weekend.
Umm, hello! Love these! I mean, what's NOT to love?
The same pants in a different color.
LOVING this polka dot. You will see this fabric again....very...VERY soon....tee hee lol.NOT the dress, but the fabric! lol
How freakin cute is this top? I have a pattern similar to this already...hmmmmmmm, Butterick 4685 View D but could I just move the elastic up and make the sleeves fuller? Hmm, any suggestions?
Who doesn't like a long, simple white dress? I know I love it! I have a baby blue one similar to this, but I still like it! lol
I LOVE the details on this top. Hancock has some fabric VERY similar to this (the pleated look) but NOT in this color. Hmmmm, and of course I love the lace on it. Very, very, pretty. Not making this one, I just like it..hmm, I might treat myself and buy it....lol
Well that is IT for me! Kayla goes to see the surgeon tomorrow, so keep us in your thoughts and prayers! He has to look at her once more before he decides when to do the surgery.
Toodles!
How proud can a Mom be? You must be VERY proud of both AJ and Jaelyn!! A Big hug to you Adrienne!!

Congrats to AJ, and yeah, I would be bawling too! Have fun making the apron this weekend... if it makes you feel any better I still have mine from home ec class! I love the skirt with the lace, can't wait to see you finish that one! I hope everything goes well with dr. today, I didn't realize Kayla was having a surgery. I will pray for her. :)

Girl you are throwing me off this week! LOL
AAAh so glad you posted pics of AJ's graduation ceremony! I would have lost it too @ carnation! Continue to enjoy every moment! :o)
LOL @ slip on seeing the apron she is 11 vs. 9 Hahaha! It is C-U-T-E though! Looks like you got yourself into some trouble! :o)
I can't wait to see her model it too!!
I am loving the white lace skirt!!

Oh, Adrienne, he is just sooooooo cute!!! Just want to squeeze him. I have a 6-yr-old, and last year his kindergarten teacher put together a CD of pics from the year to the song "I Hope You Dance" by Leeanne Womack. EVERY time I watch it, I cry!!
Well, now you've got me thinking about USING that sewing machine I bought 2 years ago!! Haven't made any clothing for myself, just some simple valences, but I'm loving that blue top and that pattern. Hmmm, I might have to go look at all the patterns I bought when they were on sale! Now that school is coming to a close, I'll have a little more time on my hands. I, too, am really bored with the summertime tunic, I just got to the ribbing portion, but I'm feeling the need to start the Turtleneck Tube before the ST is finished, that or at least a pair of socks. Well, gotta go to work, see ya!

Oh my...you know I just teared up at little dude graduating. I know you were just bawling girl. So sweet.
Prayers for Kayla's dr. to make the best decision.
That Jaelyn- just like her mama! ;) Heheh

He's beautiful and what an infectious smile on that kid...look out girls!
I really like all your fashion choices though I wouldn't put my thighs into any kind of white pants!
I think you certainly could use the pattern for the blue baby doll top as long as it's a drapey fabric and cut sort of A-line. It'll be a fun project.
Is Kayla your DD? Warm thoughts and prayers for her....

Awww! Girl you posted a link to my blog! Thanks girl! I finally updated it this morning. I was not doing to well last night! LOL!
AJ looks so cute! I don't blame you for crying. I would have too! He does look proud.
As for Jaelyn, think of it this way. If she starts sewing she can make her own outfits and it frees up time for your own projects! LOL!
I can't wait to see your finished knitting project!
Kayla and your family will all be in my prayers!
Cas...

AJ looks so proud of himself and cute! What a big day for everyone! That is really cool that Jaelin wants to start sewing - I wish I had been interested when I was her age! I'd be a lot better at sewing now. Hope everything went ok with Kayla at the doctor.
