Happy Valentine's Day Blogland
What inspires you??? I have really started to think about inspiration. It comes in SO may different ways. I mean, SERIOUSLY. I can be watching HGTV and get inspired to change something around my house. I can be watching food network and try a new dish, or I can be talking to Toya and something will hit me (be sure to stop by her blog today guys) which is really how it happens most times, but I started this entry yesterday at work, and boy I tell you I could not WAIT to get home. I was inspired to get out some material and cut out two shirts and two skirts. I am going to work through my growing stash. But you can be inspired by a lot of things, to do just about anything. I was teaching my tag class and I was inspired to go home and scrap. I pulled out some paper, but that was about it but I was STILL inspired. LOL
I was SO trying not to bore you all with fashion, fabric, and patterns, but I have to be real with me, and it is really what I am feeling right now, lol.
WHAT'S HOT FOR SPRING 2007
According to Liz Claiborne The following items are HOT for spring...and a few I just added on my own, because, well, BECAUSE I KNOW FASHION lol.
Smocked Tops
I can so seriously see me in this.....OMG...casual chic.....yep, that's me lol
Bi-Color Prints
Cardigans
I would want mine to fit a "LITTLE" more snug...but that is just "me" not TIGHT, but snug....
Shirt Dress
Pass the polka dots please....
I still have two chiffon long polka dot skirts. I have had them for about two years, and STILL wear them...my mom often calls me the fashion police....I will call her out in a minute lol
WHITE!
ANYTHING WHITE. White is "THE" color for spring, and that my dears is RIGHT up my alley...BECAUSE....I LOVE WHITE!!! I wear it ALL the time! YAY ME! LOL
What else is HOT?
YELLOW!!! Pair it up with a chambray blue......yep.....
Blue and yellow is HOT ok? Just hot....
Love that Wide leg's are in. Now, I don't get TOOOOOO wide, but just enough so that after the "trend" passes, I am still in style...know what I mean?? I HATED the skinny jean. OMG. Those were SO not meant for people that have even a LITTLE curve...so I did NOT buy those...I also don't do the pencil skirt lol...nope....lol, they are cute, but not on me...gotta know your body type.
And it's all about the dress this season.....
Especially a wrap dress...lol
One MUST have a simple black dress....its just a MUST.
Did I not already make my white eyelet dress? This girl is on it....lovesss some fashion lol
This one is JUST for me....I plan on making my own version of this very soon......
And everyone needs a good denim skirt......
SHOES
If it's here, it's hot....go get yours... lol
I REALLY like this pair. I mean...come on....wedges are CLASSIC....making a mental note.....
And these are SO freakin hot....OMG....I am going to be SO broke!
And these for that "casual" look...
OMG and they come in red...hmmmmmm
LOVE THE PEEP TOE....OMG......MENTAL NOTE! LOL
These are called chocolate gold.... BCBG is the bomb....love them.....
I will leave you with a look of a FEW of the things I am making this spring....As SOON as the patterns go on sale! LOL
THIS IS A MUST FOR ME! LOVE THE CUT of the printed one. Yep...but it will be solid...wonder what color???LOL
Have to find THE Perfect material for this one.....yummminess......
It's all about the wrap dress. I will make the green one...not green but LOVE that..Like I NEED another wrap dress pattern. I have a couple at home I need to work on.....
This one is my FAVORITE! I can not WAIT until spring. OMG.
Love this cute little top..the white one without the ruffle.....
This has SO much potential......
Check out the wide leg....yep....loves it!
OK guys, hope I didn't bore you to tears....I know I had a BLAST!!!
Toodles!!!!
girl you are on point with this stuff, happy V day and thanks for the inspiration!

Happy Valentines Day to you too, Adrienne. And yes, you're right...there are SOO many things out there to be inspired by. That's why, "Be Inspired - I am!" is my motto. :-)
Have an awesome day!!!

Love the clothes....and I'm on the hunt for those wide leg jeans, I love those. And the wrap dress is just my style. Did Toya tell you that I went out to Joann's looking at some patterns. LOL, it was funny because I left the store with nothing!

I love wide-leg pants and the wrap dress... I just love things with a tie.... Girl, I need a pattern for a robe (bathrobe) that has a train... I saw Kelly (from Destiny Child) on MTV cribs and she was wearing a bathrobe with a train and fur around the neck and arms. Now that's a diva!!! Can ya help me out?

Love, love, love the wrap dress. It's so classy and fun! Hate the skinny jeans too. I remember when I was in high school and I wore those. Remember when they had the zippers at the ankle. Barf.

okay...i have GOT to know...where are all of those wide-leg pants from??? i have been desparately trying to find something like that for YEARS now. but, since they were "out of style" and i really can't sew...i was pretty much out of luck. YAY! in with comfy pants...OUT with skinny jeans!!!

What cuteness. I wish I knew how to sew. My mother was an excellent seamtress. She made my prom dress, my best friend's wedding dress and a every Easter dress I wore from 0 - 21. I guess I could take a class and learn. (LOL)

I just love those wide troussers and the dresses. Can't wait till spring and summer are here so I can change my clothes. Now I only wear warm clothes as it's cold outside. Have a nice Valentine Day

Happy Valentine's day! Hope it is full of love for you! Thanks for the fashion talk - I'm totally inept! I feel way more comfortable in a scrapbook store then in a clothing store (and spending 20 on a few pieces of paper seems more reasonable to me then to spend it on a clothes!) Silly silly me! Thank God for Christmas and my sisters or I'd be completely out of date! Kim

Well! If I had the time and if I was at home I would pull out my sewing patterns and start a new project. But alas I am out of town on business and I can't! But I can dream a lot!
The shoes are a no for me though dear. I guess I never told you I was six feet tall! Just looking at those made me sway! I do love heels though believe it or not. Just not very practical going through doorways and stuff!
Thanks so much for the inspiration! I thinking about some trousers for myself real soon!

Cool stuff, but I'd love to see some "bigger" models for once! That would inspire me a little more than these ultra skinny ladies....

Happy V-Day girl! I am trying to think of a way to con my mom into making me a wrap dress because sewing my own apron just about pushed all of my sewing expertise. ;)

wanna go shopping? hey i know, we'll go shopping, i'll pick stuff out, and you go home and sew it for me since me and my sewing machine don't have a love-love relationship right now.
