This week has been MAJOR Inspirational for me. Normally, I am always finding something that is pleasing to the eye, but this week, MAN, I have indeed been inspired...HOW inspired have I been???

It all started last week when I went to the SB store to "look". I ended up with the new BG. FELL IN LOVE! I wanted to scrap Saturday night, but couldn't because my printer wanted to act a fool.....so I had to quench the urge to scrap. Dang it. I didn't think it would come back! But boy oh boy did it....

All the PP is BG, can you BELIEVE I did NOT use any Bazzill?!?!?! And of course HS stuff lol, simple but I LOVE it. I did this in like 25 minutes. I was on a mission!

So over the past few weeks I have been buying fabric in this color combo...

These colors are HOT. You heard it here first!!! LOL, a lady at hancock, was making a quilt out of these pieces. I quickly got a shot with my camera phone.....lol

While on the subject of this color combo, I present to you my "knitting bag". This fabric SCREAMED at me while I was cruising ebay. I tell you, I FELL IN LOVE!!!! When I got it I could HARDLY wait for the patterns to go on sale so I could go and get it. I finished it Monday night....

How about some details...

I LOVE the stitching on it. I took my precious time so that it would all be straight. And instead of going with a matching thread, I went with a contrast....

When I "create" lol, I get messy....

Now the part about this bag that I am MOST proud of is the zipper. I have never done a zipper inside a pocket, so I was VERY happy about the challenge....a few steps...

First I had to shorten my zipper because it was too long....so I just did a whip stitch a little bit above where I needed it to be......

Then I had to baste it in place, before I could sew it down...

AND YAY IT WORKS! My mom was asleep when I got to this step, so I called my aunt....she was the next best thing lol. I was SO happy!! LOL

So yay, here it is all inside it's pocket...so nice. I was really in my happy place....

I bought this material Saturday....

And I cut out this pattern yesterday....(at work,lol)

These two will make a lovely couple....

Then while I was stranded in Hancock on Sunday, I picked up this...

This fabric(this pic looks kinda washed out, but the top fabric is a really, like buttercup yellow) will meet this pattern....

Before the week is out. I cut this pattern out yesterday too....yes, while at work lol

On my lunch yesterday, I went BACK to Hancock lol.... and got this...

for this dress....

I am going to jazz up that band so it won't be so plain....this material feels SO GOOD. OMG. I was walking by it and touched it and I was SOLD!

When I saw this fabric, all I could think about was Toya's wrap dress, in chambray lol, yum. I still need some white jersey for the top, but this will be a very quick project....and I can dress this up with some silver jewerly...yes ma'am....that's a plan lol.

WHen I got home yesterday this was waiting on me....

I can not WAIT to get into these two!!! The Fitted Knits is for my first Knit Along and I am SO excited!!!! THe other one is to help me keep two projects going at a time.

I am ALMOST finished with my turquoise and lime green scarf, and my shrug is coming along very nicely! I will post some pics of that later.

Ok guys that is it. As you can see, I am SO DANG INSPIRED!!!!!!! I plan on cutting out those other two patterns today, and then each time I sew one, I will cut another out. I have about ummmmm, five, I think that I already have fabric for, that I need to cut out.

And this is post 401! WOW. Ok, enough of that. I was HAPPILY working on my Shrug, at work lol....

See, looking good right? Well I realized that I did NOT increase on BOTH ends. Umm, ok, that would be a problem so I had to frog it.

I want to do this RIGHT. I don't half do ANYTHING, this will be no exception. So I had to start over, but it's all good. I am happy now!! YAY!

I am half way done with my scarf. I should be finished with this tomorrow. YAY! Love big needles!!

This has to be my new favorite thing.

HAPPY , HAPPY, JOY, JOY!!! I LOVE cutting my material and patterns out with this!!! It is NOT as bad, still BAD, but NOT as bad as doing it with scissors. My life will never be the same! LOL, thanks for the suggestion girl! YAY! I am a happy camper! Can you tell???

In other news, after being on the phone with SINGER FOR ONE HOUR..mainly me holding, they found my dress form, and it should be clean and ready for me next week! YAY!!!!

Alright guys that is it for me. I spent a LOT of time last night creating. I was up very late giggling on the phone with Zanete....she is silly, and I am too, and add in the time factor, it being VERY late, we got really silly. And I am up VERY early. I had to clean my mess lol...Yep, I have a treat for you guys for IW!! Toya will have a recording up on her blog, so go by and check it out....until next time...

What a weekend.....AND THIS MAKES 400 POSTS!

400 posts...wow...do I "REALLY" talk that much? ZANTETE SHUT UP! LOL Love ya sis!

WOW, mine really started off with a bang.....
Got in the van Friday morning, to take the kids to school, and we are just HIT in the face with this just TERRIBLE smell. Finally we figured out what it was...

Yes, that is milk. Milk that had been in my van for SIX days. It was a gallon of milk. THANKFULLY all of it did not spill out. I always buy two or three gallons of milk, so I really didn't miss this one. It was hidden behind the leather flap. Humph...I bet I will check under there next time.....SIX DAYS! OMG. It is all cleaned up now and smelling much better! LOL
I finished another hand towel at work on Friday lol...

I had to make sure I had the technique down, and I do, so now I am ready to move on. I started this as SOON as I finished my towel (which I did use....they are SO SOFT!)

This yarn is VERY hard to work with, but it's CUTE! This will be my mindless project while I work on my shrug. I started on it Saturday. I will update you guys with my progress. I knitted off the circulars and put this bad boy on some 11's. I want to finish this, so I can wear it.

I noticed that I am REALLY liking this color combo:

Ummm, yep, that is a top, a scarf, and a bag...just not complete...YET.

Friday night the kids REALLY had some fun...

They were blowing bubbles through straws....oh the simple things in life.... lol

Saturday morning, Hancock had a massive sale. 50% off notions...yes I had a good time...

Yes....good times...

So I started on a shirt, but did NOT finish it. I also cut out my bag for my knitting supplies. I messed up the band on my shirt, so I just put it down. I HOPE to MAYBE TRY and work on it today. We will see. BUT at the notion sale I bought something to help me pull fabric through a "tight" spot....OMG. This is like the best $2.00 I have EVER spent!! I can NOT think of the technical name for this thing, but I thought I would try it. It WAS 1/2 off...

This thing made making these ties SO EASY!!!!!!! And I LOATHE making these things!!!

You insert the long part down the tube, then this little "hook" grabs the end of the fabric, and you just take your time and pull it through. Now I will NOT be afraid to make something with spaghetti straps. GET ONE OF THESE THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to put all of that away because I was going to meet Erica, but BEFORE I went to meet her, I had a few minutes so Tony took me to Scrap etc. OMG. I walked in to see this:

Yes loves, I was in HEAVEN! Tony could NOT understand why I was SO happy! I only walked out with this...

I SO wanted to scrap when I got home, I went to my computer, to print out a pic, and OMG, my printer printed like CRAP. Now mind you I have NEVER had trouble with my printer. I have the Epson R1800 and I SWEAR by this thing. I LOVE it. It was printing like this weird greyish, greenish color...anyone know what this is? I have recalibrated my monitor, but even when I calibrated it the first time, What I saw on my screen came out of my printer. I DID however take the pic with my new little point and shoot. Could that have anything to do with it? Chime in with your thoughts...

Ok, so after I left the SB store, I headed over to B&N to meet Mrs. Erica This lady is UBBER cool ok? She was ROCKIN this jacket she made. Just OFF THE CHAINS. My  husband was so impressed...when we left he was still asking how she got the lining in...lol...too funny. I got him to take a pic of us knitting...

She is working on this sweater that I am going to HAVE to try...once I get a LITTLE better. I started my shrug. And of COURSE we had to POSE....

That is what I have dubbed the Erica B look lol...I had a good time with you girl, can't wait to do it again...

Sooooo, the evening continues lol, Tony and I went out to dinner....had a great time...I took this cool pic...lol

Sunday we had a meeting at Scrap Etc...I left home a few minutes early because I was going to run by hancock REALLY quick to get some twill tape....I parked, went in, got my tape came out. NOT EVEN TWO MINUTES...get back to the van and there is a FREAKIN HOLE IN MY TIRE!!!!! OMG! AND there was NOT a spare! I was SO PISSED! LOL, so I went back in hancock to wait on my brother to come and pick me up, so while I was in there I called Toya....I said, I bet you can't guess where I am, and she said where the SB store? I quicky responded NOPE, I told her I was stranded in Hancock lol....too funny....My brother did take me by the meeting, but I was there long enough to get the chair warm. Sorry ladies!

Then we headed to  my mom's because she cooked a B'day dinner for Corey and Jaelyn since they both share the same B'day....Zanete here is YOUR PLATE...

My mom SNAPPED. OMG. Mac and Cheese, dressing, turkey, collard greens, and potato salad....and B'day cake lol...yep, I ate like a PIG. Back to the "diet" now.

After dinner, Kayla comes RUNNING in the house to tell me that Corey was stuck in the mud...WHAT?

There are some things money can't buy....

I am back from our annual two day confrence at Ross Bridge. Our company sends us here for a couple of days for meetings and what nots...but we DO have a LOT of fun. This year was NO exception. Next year it will NOT be at Ross Bridge...I can hardly wait to see.....Here are a few more pictures from this BEAUTIFUL place....

Black was the color for this event. There may have been FOUR people with "color" on...And my hair just completely FELL lol...

The dining area was BEAUTIFUL!!! I mean TOTALLY beautiful. At the end of the night they took all the floral arrangements and broke them down into smaller arrangments and took them to people on HOSPICE. Oh yeah, the food was THE  BOMB!

The rooms we stayed in were BEAUTIFUL...I love this shot...

And a little boy, who did NOT want to go to sleep! I promise you he is a PROFESSIONAL SLEEP FIGHTER! He was TRYING to hide from me under the pillows....try, try again!

Then I ACTUALLY WENT TO THE SB STORE AND BOUGHT SOMETHING! You will see the fruition of this very soon. I actually wanted one of the file sets, but they sold out. Have any of you used them?? What do you think? Hmm, I think I just want one, "just because" I am sure you all know that feeling...lol

Oh, and while everyone else was visiting with their friends in their rooms at the resort...I finished my first hand towel and started on another lol, yep good times! I was sitting in my leather chair...while the sun just kissed my skin.....lol, talking to Toya lol

I am going to start on my shrug on Monday, since I can NOW read a pattern....wish me luck!

Here is some fabric for my next sewing projects...yeah baby...can't wait to start on that lol

That white is parisian lace (it will be a blouse)...BEAUTIFUL....and the baby blue is the most beautifullest linen ever!! OMG.... it will be a wrap dress. Toya is cutting hers out now...making me dread cutting mine out lol, the solid lime green and the fabric right underneath will be a top, and that BEAUTIFUL paisley...will be a tote bag for my knitting stuff! YAY!

And I inherited a dress form! YAY! I can't wait until it's cleaned up. Its VERY similar to THIS ONE. I need to find out how long it's going to take to be cleaned. I think it was shipped off lol.

When I got back to work yesterday I had these goodies waiting on me....my  new matching camera bag for my point and shoot....

My new Iron...that my girls WILL NOT TOUCH!!!!!!

And my vertical grip replacement FINALLY came! YAY!

For all of you that think Tmobile sucks....THEY DO NOT! I kept having issues with my phone...they sent me a new one! YAY! I need to sync it before I go to work today!

Today I am going BACK to Hancock ( I have been like twice this week already) on my lunch to snatch up a few patterns, while they are on sale, and MAYBE some more fabric...we will see...

I have a baby shower that I am SUPPOSED to go to, but I don't think I am, because I am going to meet up with  Erica and I had that planned first.....the girls start playing Tennis (MUST take my camera) and hubby and I are going out! Woo hooo!!

Inspiration Wednesday

First I have to say Happy Birthday to my baby Jaelyn...well not my  baby...she is ELEVEN! WOW! WHere does the time go????? Happy Birthday baby!!!!

Now on to Inspiration Wednesday....

I have REALLY been looking forward to this day for a while..Well not TODAY, but yesterday. I have been looking forward to my knitting class for some time now. I only started knitting on February 2, so I am VERY novice. But I fell in love with it quickly. VERY quickly. I really, really enjoy it, so imagine my frustration when I could NOT figure out how to make my shrug.

I really wanted to do it, but I couldn't figure it out. I emailed people, went to message boards....NOTHING lol, it was not clicking. I did NOT have my light blub moment. But still, I KNEW I wanted to learn to knit. I have successfully completed two scarves, that I simply adore...You saw one, I will post the other one later. I didn't have time to take a picture of it....

But I wanted to do MORE. I took a private class, and "thought" i had that light blub moment. NOT. I was still confused. So I put it down....yep. I did, BUT I was NOT giving up. TO me inspiration is NOT about giving up. It's about holding on, lol, so while I am shopping at hancock, and playing with my maya road album, I still wanted to knit.....Then yesterday came and OMG. I went to my LYS and saw this...

And here is my half of face towel. I didn't get a chance to finish it during my class, BUT I learned SO much. I learned how to read a pattern, so now that shrug pattern will NO LONGER KICK MY ASS!! I am smarter than the pattern!!! YEAH BABY!!!!!! And I made some new friends that share the same passion that I have, even though we have all just started out. I am so proud of half of my towel. I see much more in my future of knitting. Also for you knitters out there....I did get the Denise set of needles, and I am SO glad I did. They are SO POINTY and the yarn just GLIDES off, which I did NOT like at first, but now I love. If you have been on the fence about getting these needles....GET THEM. I was able to get them at a discount since I was taking a class! Sweet! So what is my point??? I was inspired by some yarn, that first yarn post in January...that was all about color...it inspired me to knit. I wanted to try a new craft lol, maybe between the photography, the scrapping, and the sewing...I didn't NEED another hobby, but this is a great outlet. And its portable lol. So if you want to try it....go right ahead. It may not be for everyone, but it certainly is for me!

Well guys that is it for me today....I will be out of pocket for a couple of days, so I will update you guys on Friday...just want you to know that I have NOT fallen off the planet!!!

Ohhhh, boobies....

If this was not Monday, I don't know what was. I am off in my posting. I don't think I have EVER done a Monday NIGHT post! LOL, will wonders ever cease.......

Today was SO SLOW!!! I mean, GOOD GRIEF. OH, Ronalyn, if you are reading....EMAIL ME...developments girl........

First...here is a pic from inside the spa...

This was THE MOST CALMING PLACE EVER. OMG. I think I was inspired by the gold in this room...why?? Because my mom and I went to Hancock after we left there and they had their decorator fabric 1/2 off. This is SO Huge. ESPECIALLY, when what you want is like 34.99 a yard... I walked out with this:

The red embroidered is for a duvet for my bed, the gold is for the pillows, and the ivory is for the sheers for my window. I am going to do window toppers out of the stuff for the duvet, and the tie backs for the curtains will be gold, to kinda tie it all in. I am going to get another contrasting fabric for more pillows. I can't wait to start on this one! YAY!

So mom and I were on the interstate and we look at this.....

Cool right? Well to me because I don't have one in my car...well she hit something then we see this:

HA! I thought I was going to DIE laughing!!!!!! Seriously. WE got SO tickled. It was too funny! LOL

Ok, anyway, Today Was SOOOO slow. Did I say that? I mean even my email was slow. What's up with THAT? I was leaving for lunch today and I was backing out of my parking space(going to hancock, lol) when I saw this guy..

He suprised me and took me out to lunch. We went:

So that was my day in a nutshell...unless you count the fact that after work, I went BACK to hancock (and I am going BACK tomorrow)....picked up a couple of things, and a pair of boobies lol....and then I went to get a pedicure....

And what else do you do while you have a pedicure done but listen to you IPOD and KNIT of course!! I HAVE to finish this scarf before my class tomorrow. I WILL finish because I am about to go get started now! Have a great night and I will PROBABLY see you guys on Wednesday!!!!

THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT IS INDEED ENDING...

This will quite possibly be the longest blog post ever. Seriously.No, really, I am NOT kidding....

First...LOVE MY NEW BANNER!!!!!!!! YAY! Thanks girlie!

Guys....I had to make a decision on Friday. Mind you this was NOT a decision I WANTED to make, but I NEEDED to make this decision...

I hereby, and forthwith, am giving up........ artificial sugar, pasta and bread.

OMG. I think my keyboard just broke. I am gaining weight. Now, NORMALLY, I do NOT point out my flaws (or what I call flaws) but omg look.

This has to go. I mean serioulsy. Now yes, I have had three kids and have a reason for the tube around my waist, BUT I don't LIKE it. AT ALL. And not to mention that I turn 30 this year. Enough said. I will keep you all updated with my progress. Now, I do NOT want to loose weight, I DO however want to tone up. So my goal is to TONE UP. I must.

So I didn't update any after Wednesday, just didn't feel like it, so it is MY duty as a faithful (well sometimes anyway) blogger to update you will ALL my happenings....so sit back, relax, and umm, well you know lol.

Friday morning...I got up, at some ungodly hour, trying to start my day, promptly went back to sleep..you know that thing called a SNOOZE button, will be the death of you...seriously lol...anyway, I get in the car drop off Aj at daycare, and make my next stop....

The kids school....Now, the school doesnt open up until 7:20am but I am there at what time? 6:54a.m

WHY? So I can sit and Knit of course!!! LOL

I am on my last skein of yarn, so I PLAN to be finished with this on Tuesday. I am taking my other knitting class Tuesday evening and I CAN NOT WAIT. I want to go into that class PROJECT FREE!

Now I could HARDLY wait to get to work Friday....WHY? Because the UPS man was bringing me this:

I could not WAIT to get my serger!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I took a picture of this guy, and he willingly smiled for me. I was SO glad when I was notified that I had a package! YAY!

So, many of you know, that I tend to have what I call "power lunches". Now during these aforementioned "power lunches" I tend to shop....but VERY quickly....I know what I want, and it is MY main mission to GET IT. Ok, that being said....

I went here to get  THIS  that will be worn later this week.....

Then I went here to "see" if they had a HUGE paperclip paperweight that I bought for Toya back in AUGUST OF 2006. They could NOT keep them in stock....

But as you can see...I now have one.....I even asked Toy if she wanted another...tee hee, the thing weighs FOUR POUNDS. I don't think she could pack it in her bag when she left my house lol, her luggage was over the limit .....tee hee

I did need some serger thread....spend a quick eight bucks and I was out and on to my next stop....

Yes I went in Michaels and ACTUALLY BOUGHT SOMETHING SCRAPBOOK RELATED!!! LOL, I got a corner rounder,

so Cheryl you can have the other one! LOL You know I love you...all in fun...lol AND I got some beads for Zanete, to make me a wonderful creation! The beads will NOT be mixed....just wanted to clear that up lol....

On Saturday I got up at:

Yes that is AM! LOL...and Zanete and Toya can verify that lol. I couldn't do what I wanted to do on Friday night, so I got up VERY early to get started. I wanted to thread my serger and of course use it...you know how we get when get a new toy...BUT That is NOT the time of morning to try and focus on that. After SEVERAL attempts. I had to call in some help....

Now she didn't come until TEN or so, but dang...she fixed it. THANK GOD!!! And now it works and I LOVE IT!

YAY! Now, I have to REALLY get creative with my ummm, "craft room" it can NO Longer be called a scrapbook room. Jaelyn said so lol. ANd the fact that I now have two sewing machines, and a serger, and a lifetime supply of scrapping stuff...yep...this week I have to organize!

While my mom was over, she showed me this little compartment I didn't even KNOW I had on my machine. Inside she found what is my new favorite thing....a roll hem foot.

Love my white skirt...They are NOT finished. I didn't realize when I got the pattern that I needed two zippers, so I will finish them this week sometime. But I did go ahead and hem them and stuff so all I have to do is add the yoke and zipper. Easy..yay! And for the record, yes I made two skirts from the same pattern, but different fabric....lol

Can't wait until it gets warmer lol

So how about a couple of "funnies" when I was making the above white top, this was my first time putting sleeves IN a shirt...can you guess what I did? Yep, I sewed the armhole shut. NOT ONCE BUT TWICE! LOL....I became VERY familiar with my seam ripper lol....then while I was making the other top, I needed some twill. I did NOT have any. Or so I thought....this is where scrapbooking meets sewing.....I found some twill in my ribbon drawer....

Yes that is Junkitz twill, that someone gave me in a RAK. I used it VERY well lol...

The other day Toya and I were talking about presser foots, I have one for my serger and my old sewing machine, but not my new one....this is my presser foot...

The red button means go, the other one is a back stitch, the blue button...can you GUESS what that one does? It cuts the thread, and then the rabbit and turtle control the speed. Yep...LOVES it!

Then on Sunday....

Toya sent me this really cute pin cushion pattern.....and I made one...go and check out hers too...too cute..

This is where, sewing, scrapping and knitting meet each other....I used a foof a la button, my MM huge needle, and some yarn..Yep, just a happy family!

After that my mom and I went HERE. OMG. Zanete, you SHOULD have come home! WONDERFUL!!!!!!

Inspiration Wednesday **Valentine Edition**

What inspires you??? I have really started to think about inspiration. It comes in SO may different ways. I mean, SERIOUSLY. I can be watching HGTV and get inspired to change something around my house. I can be watching food network and try a new dish, or I can be talking to Toya and something will hit me (be sure to stop by her blog today guys) which is really how it happens most times, but I started this entry yesterday at work, and boy I tell you I could not WAIT to get home. I was inspired to get out some material and cut out two shirts and two skirts. I am going to work through my growing stash. But you can be inspired by a lot of things, to do just about anything. I was teaching my tag class and I was inspired to go home and scrap. I pulled out some paper, but that was about it but I was STILL inspired. LOL

I was SO trying not to bore you all with fashion, fabric, and patterns, but I have to be real with me, and it is really what I am feeling right now, lol.

ANYTHING WHITE. White is "THE" color for spring, and that my dears is RIGHT up my alley...BECAUSE....I LOVE WHITE!!! I wear it ALL the time! YAY ME! LOL

YELLOW!!! Pair it up with a chambray blue......yep.....

Blue and yellow is HOT ok? Just hot....

Love that Wide leg's are in. Now, I don't get TOOOOOO wide, but just enough so that after the "trend" passes, I am still in style...know what I mean?? I HATED the skinny jean. OMG. Those were SO not meant for people that have even a LITTLE curve...so I did NOT buy those...I also don't do the pencil skirt lol...nope....lol, they are cute, but not on me...gotta know your body type.

And it's all about the dress this season.....

****ETA....I need some help with my IPOD. I took my ITUNES icon and dragged it to my external hard drive. Now, when I plug in my IPOD, ITUNES opens and NOTHING is there....when I go to my external hard drive...MY MUSIC IS NOT THERE, BUT When I go into the advance tab in itunes to SEE my music, it IS On my external hard drive, can SOMEONE...ANYONE tell me how to make my computer recognize my library IN MY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE?? I had too much music on it and it was making my PC slow. Anyone? IF you don't want to post here, just email me. THANKS!****

Well, well,well..Have I EVER updated on a Sunday? I feel a headache coming on so I know if I don't update now, I WON'T lol, there will be no going to bed late today OR getting up early tomorrow lol, so here goes....

Friday night I COMPLETELY finished my white dress. I seriously LOVE the process of sewing...love it.
LOVE the look of serged edges. I WILL get my own serger before the week is out. I'm tired of using my moms....lol

and here is the dress finished, well almost. I don't have my button hole foot so I have to wait until I get it from my  moms house....NOT today! LOL, but other than waiting on warm weather and button holes...its ready to wear lol

I love the way it came out and seriously can not WAIT to wear it. EYELET IS IT! LOL
Friday night I came downstairs and found AJ like this...I LOVE to see him on the computer....

Then, after I finished my white dress...I made some Shrimp Fried Rice....YUM....

Saturday, I got up bright and early, wait, my KIDS got me up bright and early lol...pulled out my pattern...

And finished it up....

I ADORE this top. LOVE the twist in it. It confused me at first, lol, then after I took my eyes off of the pattern for a minute, and went back, it made total sense. I am def going to make the dress version of the top. Too cute not too. And my pants...gosh...the jersey feels so good against my skin. If it is as nice out tomorrow as it is today, I REALLY want to wear it to work tomorrow...lol, but we will see..lol

Well when I finished my outfit, I left to go and teach my class for Cheryl  and we had a GREAT time! It was fun! Can't wait to do it again. NEXT time I will stay ALL day! LOL

Saturday night, came home and I could tell that the kids were REALLY ready for summer....

Yes, they put on swimsuits...too funny lol

And a little update on my red scarf....

It's coming along nicely...my shrug....not so much. The pattern is killing me. and it SAID easy, so if i wake up later I MAY work on it, if not, I will start fresh tomorrow. UGH.

Today Jaelyn had a couple of buttons come off of her dress jacket at church.....so what did she do? Ask me to sew them back on? NOPE...

She did it herself...yep...proud mommy...

Well guys that is it. No scrapping, but I did teach a class and go to the SB store...even if it was for a meeting lol...take care..I'm off to bed....

MERIDITH? OMG!!!! Can't WAIT until next week!!!

Now that I got THAT out of the way. Yesterday had to have been THE MOST frustrating day EVER!!!!!!! But it got better lol.....

First, in the carpool lane at school, I ALWAYS have a few extra minutes to just sit and do whatever, well now I sit and I knit...it's only about 10 minutes, but time is time right? So yesterday morning....tee hee...

But as SOON as I took the pic, they opened the school....go figure lol

Then I had to do something at my job that was SO NOT IN MY JOB DESCRIPTION!! THEN, I was attempting to work on my shrug and ugh, it got on my NERVES. I could NOT get my gauge right to save my life. So what did I do? I pulled it apart and attempted to start over...it looked a LITTLE like this...

I went to my LYS for help. SO glad it is SO close to my job and they are SO super friendly!!! But they showed me what I needed to know....so I went from a pile of loose yarn....to...

A nice little swatch. Boy, that made me feel SOOOOO good....AND, she showed me the correct way to check my gauge...

And I had the correct number of stitches per inch! YAY! They do have this cool little gauge checker that is portable that I will probably pick up. It's really cute......lol

In other news, I was talking to Toya yesterday, and the girl seriously had me wanting to scrap....so it was like 4:45 and I was flipping through my Scrapbooks Etc book which is a really good issue, and I was "like inspired" lol, between Toya and the mag, I couldn't wait to get home.....By the time I got to my house, Toya was already done with her LO. So I called her, she was doing something else,ummm, cleaning chicken? LOL I printed my picture

started scrapping, then all of a sudden I said her FAVORITE word:

DONE!

Got some American Craft paper, and ribbon, HS chipboard letters, credit card stickers and diamonds, and Crate Paper...Bazzill Lily White of course lol

What's up with you guys for the weekend? I am teaching a little tag book class, and that is IT! WOO HOOO!!! I plan on doing some knitting and some sewing, so look for an update! Have a great weekend!

Oh happy day......

So if you haven't noticed.....I have been on a knitting kick.  If you didn't know....now ya do lol. Well, I SWEAR, Michaels is going to be the DEATH of me. I went BACK on Tuesday to get MORE yarn because it is still on sale.....I got this...

Gonna be a really cutesy scarf....that may double as a belt...who knows.....love the red on red glitter....

So everytime I get yarn, I get a new set of needles.....why? Because each type of yarn, often times requires a needle that I do not have. Love a 40% off coupon....

When I was in the yarn store the other week, I kept thinking...man, I need something to keep my needles in. Isn't storage ALWAYS an issue when it comes to crafts??? Anyway, I kept seeing stuff like this....(THESE PICS ARE NOT MINE) I forgot where I got them...oops...

But I REFUSED to pay 35-40 bucks for it. NO WAY. NO HOW. Sorry. So what do I do? I made one myself...total cost to make??? TWO BUCKS!! Yep. Two WHOLE dollars. I bought two placemats from the dollar store and created my "own" version. I will be making one like the one above....but at a later time. I needed some "instant" gratification the other night.

So this is "my" version.....

I have to say I was very pleased.....and VERY happy!!

I am consumed with wanting to learn all I can about knitting. So i took a trip to Barne & Noble on my lunch yesterday....

Talk about overwhelming...but in a GOOD way.....so I've made a list of the books I think I MIGHT want. There will be no buying them now...nope...I will examine them and make sure its what I want and that I will actually USE them, THEN I will get them somewhere with a coupon or at my favorite place...amazon.com lol

and my first 38 stitches. Gotta love that, and yes I was sitting at my desk at work...shhhhh lol...

And this will be a process. Hopefully I can get it going really well with no trouble. LOL, I will keep you updated. I didn't work on it last night because LOST was on (OMG, it was FANTASTIC) but I couldn't just sit there could I??? So I started on this, no thought involved...and the good thing? I started with 40 stitches......and ended with 40...Life is good lol.

Yum....I actully like working with the smaller yarn, and the smaller needles....I will keep you posted on this as well. AND I picked out some paper for a LO! Woo hooo! LOL....now to actually do it!

Inspiration Wednesday

So today's IW....wow, where do I begin.....

Ok, this past weekend, I went to this Interior Design Firm, which my Aunt just so happens to work at. Well, she has a pretty impressive resume. For those of you who live in the area, she was responsible for the design of the bathrooms in Brookwood Mall (among other things, a few college lobbies, massive doctor offices....etc.). Now, you may be thinking....a bathroom...but they are BEAUTIFUL!!!! She has also been featured in Southern Living Magazine. I can't remember if it was Living or Home, but I will have to find the mag and scan it for you guys later.....ANYWAY...I took full use of my camera and her stuff while I was there.....tee hee, all I could THINK about was IW lol....

On a funny note, when I saw this box, I got SO excited....why do you ask? I thought it said MAYA ROAD!!! Tee hee

But when I OPENED the box...my word. I have NEVER seen anything like this....METAL WALL PAPER!!! I WISH I could have take a pic of the way they used it, but it was client stuff so I couldn't. BUMMER! But it was NICE!

AND THIS! OMG! SOOOOO beautiful. I promise you, these pictures do it NO justice. All of this is WALL PAPER!

YES THIS IS WALL PAPER!! LOVIN the scrolls!!!!

And this made me want to play in some diamond glaze....yes, this too is WALL PAPER!!! I KEPT touching it lol....

AND THIS HAS TO BE MY FAVORITE. It is mother of pearl wall paper. OMG, when I say INSANELY expensive....try...over $100.00 a yard, and you MUST buy it in 3 yard increments. WOW. I would never use it but DANG!

Next I went to the upholstery fabrics....I could have touched on that stuff all day.

And LOVE these colors....and this fabric felt SO good.

I loved this.....it's cut outs....love it...

Look at all these sample books. When I tell you I could have looked ALL day...I really meant that lol.

And this painting. Man, the color just MOVED me. I love it.

Then I saw these rugs from  West Elm and I loved the patterns and color. These muted tones...gosh. I think I am way past ready for spring.  Lovin this green....

ESPECIALLY this one.....and this blue....just screams spring time lol

No Title Tuesday.....

Well, well, well....

How are ya today? Me? Pretty dang good. Yesterday I went to Mikes because they had yarn on sale tee hee. NEVER thought there would be a day, when I would walk PAST the scrap book stuff lol, what "IS" the world coming to? LOL. I got this....

Hopefully it comes out JUST like the picture lol, the pattern "said" easy...we will see lol....

And this will be for a little cutesy scarf.. LOVE this color combo! LOL

And I cut out my pattern....yay.....hope to sew it up tonight...MAYBE lol....

and I took that with my new camera. I did NOT know that I can shoot in manual mode. I had nooooo clue. I mean, I guess it was a good surprise. Lovin that though.  And in case I didn't mention it, It's the Canon Powershot A610. GREAT little camera (well so far anyway) for under 100.00 bucks! Talk about a great deal!!!!

WHAT....A....WEEKEND!!!!!

Well, well, well....how was your weekend???? Mine went a little like this..... Got off work Friday at 5 went home, changed so hubby and I could go out to celebrate our anniversary....Cheryl's  daughter was my sitter.....yay....lol, but we ended up leaving a few mintues late, and ended up going to a different restaurant....had a great time, went to the movies to see...Stomp The Yard which was very good....so after the movie...almost midnight I think? lol, we left to come home.....made it about TEN MINUTES AWAY FROM OUR HOUSE....we were getting off the interestate and a 18-wheeler side swiped my car. ACK. We are OOOOOOKKKK, but dang.....I needed a new car anyway lol....ya'll tell my baby bye-bye.....I guess I can say she's to the left to the left lol.....now to find that replacement lol...

Dudes....there is a HOLE in my car....lol

So in happier news lol, I took my knitting class on Friday and I AM SO IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN! LOL, I am going to take another class on the 20th, but I went back to work and knitted lol....so here is my project while at work on Friday....taken with my camera phone lol

and here are "my" hands knitting lol....I knit because I AM! Tee hee lol

And here is another pic, that I took last night, I am almost finished with my scarf, so I will probably post it tomorrow lol, AND Mike's and HL have yarn on sale this week....can you GUESS where I am going on my lunch? LOL

In other news, I finished my dress...well almost...I have to sew down the colar, add the button holes, and umm, oh hem it....

I am pleased....what is next on my list of things to "sew".....

I plan on cutting this out tonight and starting on it before the week is out. Hopefully I can wear it next week lol... (if it's a little warmer here lol) Oh, I'm  making the pants and top....but plan on doing the dress too....lol

I FINALLY finished my sample for the class that I am teaching this weekend. Had to keep it simple, and since Valentine's day is coming up, I came up with this cute little love quote tag book, using some old KI...LOVE KI......Now, I have to kit it up today lol

And FINALLY I got a new camera to carry around in my purse. I went in CompUSA to get one thing, and left out with a fantastic deal, and a CANON! LOL tee hee

It's Our Anniversary....

FOR THE RECORD, I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS PICTURE IS OF BUT I WANTED THIS SONG AND IT CAME WITH IT LOL

WOW....somehow, that is all I can say. Today, I have been married for TEN YEARS. WOW. Has it been easy? What do you think? LOL, how many marriages are. BUT, WE HAVE MADE IT THROUGH. THROUGH IT ALL. TEN WHOLE YEARS. WOW. WOW. WOW. It's still hard to believe. VERY HARD TO BELIEVE, but the GRACE OF GOD has kept us together. I am so very thankful for that. I can't really put into words what I am feeling right now. And for me, that is a big thing. This is very special for me.I indeed love this man... Ok....I'm getting gushy....how about some pics....

I had a hard time picking pictures from our album. A VERY hard time. But I love this one. You can see how young we were ( I was 19, Tony was 20) and you can see the excitement on our faces, and what looks like a little nervousness on Tony's lol. I remember walking down the aisle and my bouquet was shaking lol, because "I" was shaking. LOL, the preacher was getting ready to pronounce us and tell him to kiss his bride lol. I think that was the first time my parents had seen me kiss him lol...tee hee

Awww. SO.MANY. MEMORIES.

Our first official family photo. Jaelyn was almost a year old. Time has truly gone by. She will be 11 in TWENTY Days, and you best believe she is counting down lol.

Then us today...well last night lol, excuse the hair....I am going to the shop TODAY! LOL

Time really does pass by. We have been through so much. If only you knew.....wow. God has indeed blessed us. Hasn't He Zanete? :-)

Then I had these delivered at work yesterday. He sent them a day early because the next ten years starts today. The card said "this is for the next ten years"....awwwwwwwww
