WHY is it October 1st!?!??! Have you guys finished up Christmas shopping yet? I have a couple things left to pick up for Aj and that is IT....we are DONE DONE DONE!! We always start early but this year seems like we are finishing up late.

Today was a busy day in my household lol. I am going through this really big purge/organization phase and I am SERIOUSLY purging. I decided to put some of my fabric on a book shelf so I could SEE it...well see...I have a LOT of fabric...and this isn't even all of it. Which is why I'm on a diet until the beginning of the year. I found stuff I forgot I had lol.

And just let me show you part of my knit shelf lol. The other knits are in a drawer lol.

I love knits SOOOOOOO much. I could seriously live in them.

I'm going on a trip in about a month and I've already started to think about what I want to wear. I need stuff that will be EASY to travel with.Doesn't have to be all matchy-matchy...just functional. I don't want to do a ton of ironing...lazy?? Yeah lol.

I'm going to make McCall's 5746

for my "night out" lol I'm also HOPING to wear this to a wedding on Saturday evening and ummm I haven't even started lol. I am torn between view A and B. I am going to use  black wool crepe.

In this cranberry knit. I plan on doing view A. I am on the fence about the pockets BUT I was shooting a wedding the other week and I saw a lady with a brown version of this on and pockets REALLY looked cute. I'll have to play it by ear lol.

Butterick 5247 view A in this rib-knit.

I have this labeled as "mustard" but it doesn't look mustard...more like a burnt orange-y type color. It looks really good against my skin.

Lastly, I will make the jacket and pants from this pattern.

The jacket will be done in this wool jersey houndstooth. I fell in LOVE with this pattern when I saw it on a blog but can not remember who it was. I love the cut of the jacket. Relaxed but flattering.

The pants will be done in a solid black knit. Not wool jersey.

I think that will get it. I'm going jean shopping today (I really need some more) so throw in a couple pair of jeans...some fiya boots...and call it a day ;-)

1. After a REALLY big project...I buy pretty fabric lol. What a great way to celebrate huh?

2. My best project to date is my McCalls jacket. I LOVE it!!!!

3. I am REALLY addicted to buying BWOF magazines...but NOT sewing from them lol. I've only made ummm one or two BWOF items :-)

4. I used to be terrified to sew a vogue pattern. NOT ANYMORE LOL. Do not be afraid of Vogue...

5. I have several hobbies and sewing just so happens to be one of them. When I do NOT get a chance to sew (or do what ever hobby I am working on at the time) I get REALLY cranky...like almost bitchy cranky. Yeah it's NOT that nice lol.

6. The sewing machine my mom gave me died last year, but I keep it in my closet. I will NEVER get rid of it.

7. I kept the very first garment I made to watch my progress, but a LOT of the other things I have made that...ummm were not up to par...are GONE lol.

1. I am HOOKED on Publix Red Velvet Cake Icecream. This stuff is SO good.

2. I have already started counting down the days until my birthday....33 days.

3. The Facebook/Twitter Application is AWESOME....yep having fun with that.

4. I have been craving cheese toast since Sunday. Yes I've had a slice everyday lol.

5. A lizard got in the house today and I acted a stone fool until it was gone. The cats caught it. LOVE MY KITTENS! LOL

6. I lost my cellphone the other day and about had fit. It was on the floorboard of my car.

7. Y'all know I am NOT a Nikon girl BUT I have seriously been lusting after the  new TOUCH SCREEN Coolpix S60. I am NOT a fan of touchscreen phones, but ummm....this camera has REALLY gotten my attention lol.

WHY is it Wednesday!?!

Time is going by SO fast!!!  I have such a busy week and weekend then I'm going BACK out of town again Monday....only a day trip but DANG lol....

So lookie at what was being delivered RIGHT after we pulled in the driveway Monday....

Woo hooo... I have wanted one of these things for the LONGEST....Now I finally have it and not enough time in the day to use it. Maybe next week I will break it in. I also want to try my hand at making bread....we will see lol.

Let me introduce you to Crush...

We brought this little guy back with us and umm, let's go ahead and see who can guess how long he will actually live. The kids think that he is to be touched and rubbed like he is a cat or a dog...umm NO...I also don't like to see it running across my floor. Ummm NO.  So how long will he live?? Any takers!? LOL

Yesterday Tony came in the house from doing some yard work and I ran and jumped on his back lol, Jaelyn was playing with the camera and was able to get a picture....lol

He said I was heavy lol...I hate him lol.

One of me and Tony at our very first stop....an ICE CREAM Place! LOL OMG, the icecream was sooooo good. Or maybe that was just because it was so hot? LOL

They had the best little backgrounds painted on the wall lol. I swear my hair and the humidity of Florida, do NOT get along well lol.

I also found a scrapbook store, but not JUST a scrapbook store, but a scrapbook clearance center! LOL

They wouldn't let me take pics inside, but there was a LOT of stuff in there. I thought since it was a clearance center it would be a bunch of junk but NO, I got some REALLY good stuff, that you will probably be seeing VERY soon! LOL

NO trip is complete without a fabric store lol

You will be surprised at the treasures you can find in a home deco store. I went to another one as well but didn't get any pics....

Look at all that sass in Kayla.... Do y'all know she is like destined to be an AKA!?!? lol. Sorry Stacey lol. I swear, the child would wear pink and green all day everyday if she could. Tony's oldest sister is an AKA and she has drilled it into the girls lol.

Ok, so when hubby mentioned a tropical location for our vacation, I first thought....ohh I need "warm" weather gear. Well....At this point, I had JUST gotten my sewing machine back and seriously didn't want to sew. One night I could not sleep so I got up and started going through my patterns,and fabric, and lo-and- behold. A SWAP formed lol. Even though I didn't go to a resort....I named it my "resort collection" lol. I now LOVE sewing with a plan! I am getting my plans ready to do a SWAP for my spring/summer sewing that I plan on starting next week. Ok....let's get into this lol. You can click on all images to make them larger.

Nassau Bahamas 2008

Tony and I decided a few weeks ago that we wanted to go on a trip for our 11th Wedding Anniversary. Well, we already had a few places in mind then he totally went left field and  suggested we take a cruise. Ok...talked to our travel agent a few days later and booked a cruise to the Bahamas. We had a FAB time.

Now, I did NO posting last week because I was stuck behind my sewing machine. I made EVERYTHING I wore, with the EXCEPTION of a black dress I wore for Captain's night, my swim suit and an orange top I wore. I am SO proud of myself. You have no idea lol. I will post individual pictures later, but here is a "linkable" list of what I made:

Ok, so on to the pictures lol

First HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, HUGE thanks to Robin who was VERY VERY VERY sweet and had a basket of fruit and wine delivered to the room we were in. It was ALL loved lol. ESPECIALLY the wine. She knows I "LOVE" white wine!!! THanks again girl :-)

I did manage to knit a little in the airport and on the plane. I didn't have a pen, so to keep up with my rounds, I tied knots in my tail yarn lol. I did finish the washcloth (ONLY one lol) so I'll have to post a pic of it later lol. I needed something that required NO thought, so I would have something to do on the plane and in the airport. This one fit the bill!

Don't you just love how you can see the guy that took the pic shadow on us? LOL

Tony was chillin....there was mucho drinking lol

We also went over to the Atlantis on Paradise Island...just GORGEOUS!

We did SO much walking, and even though my flip flops were UBBER comfy, my feet were still tired. While we waited on the boat to take us back across to the island, I got a VERY nice foot massage....umm hmm, didn't even have to ask lol. The small stuff really matters....and makes great scrapbook pages too..tee hee... Speaking of scrapbooking...

Ummm, I think I will pass lol. Something for everyone lol...MOVING ON lol

I thought this was HILARIOUS...but you will be SURPRISED at how many people I saw buying cameras! LOL

The "Straw Market" I now call knock-off city. Mannn, they had knock offs of EVERYTHING. Umm, I'll pass lol. I did get my girls straw purse with their name on it! LOL

There are SO many more. I took 319 pics lol. I will have to do another post lol. ONe will totally be dedicated to all the food I ate. I SWEAR, I was eating every two hours. I KID YOU NOT. lol. I am about to do some SERIOUS detoxing lol. SERIOUSLY. I KNOW I gained about 6 lbs lol. But it's good weight and I'll get it off lol
