I'm SO glad it's Friday!!!! Y'all remember this??? LOL **Sings...what I need from you is Understanddddddddddddddinggggggggg** lol
Anyway I am good for making sewing plans lol. Remember these spring and summer plans? HA! A few of those things got made, but I kinda just did my own thing lol.
Now it's time to plan again lol, except this time I have a reason lol. Getting ready to do some traveling and of course, I need some new additions to my wardrobe lol ;)
First, I need a jacket...seasons are changing...well getting ready to lol.
You can click on all the fabric pics to make them larger and see more detail.
I *heart* this fabric. It's a wool tweed and it is GORGEOUS. I swear this picture does it NO justice. I bought it early this summer and I'm SO glad I did. I ALMOST walked away from it. It was back in the clearance section for 60% off of $9.99. When Hancock started putting our their fall fabrics, they took this from the back and put it on the front with the wools for $12.99 or $9.99 a yard. I did GOOD lol. Oh, I'm making the long sleeve view.
Simplicity 2700 and Butterick 5355 View C
I made what four pair of shorts/capri pants this summer and I am no longer scared to make pants lol. I don't know why I was scared anyway lol. Just do it right? LOL. Well I will make the Simplicity 2700 in a light weight denim (yall know thats my most favorite fabric EVER lol) and the Butterick top in the silk chiffon that I got last year from Gail K Fabrics.I've never worked with chiffon because I have been very, very afraid of it. I'm gonna jump right in lol.
I have had this pattern *FOREVER* I don't know if you can see the color of the darker fabric. I *think* it's a cotton blend twill. I label my fabric when I buy it now and I didn't do that when I purchased this. It's an olive color and the yellow really works well with it.
I have really fallen in love with Kwik Sew patterns. Their directions are SO good. Y'all know I follow directions to the "T" when needed lol. For the KS pattern I'm making the hoodie version. I'm still undecided if I will add the front pocket or not...we will see lol.
I am FINALLY about to make my first pair of jeans. I swore up and down when I first started sewing that I would make everything except my jeans lol. HA! Guess I'm eating crow lol. Everyone that has made this pattern has had a fab pair of jeans. I hope my pair isn't the first messed up pair lol.
*gasp* I'm making a "track suit" LOL I know you can't believe it right? LOL Well I wanna be comfy when I fly and still look cute lol. I'mma ROCK THIS! LOL. Anyway, this is one of Hancock's new knits. I can NOT remember the name of it, but I THINK it starts with a P. I'll find out when I go back in there lol.
IF Hancock has the new Butterick patterns out in time for me to make this dress, I will make it. I LOVE this fabric! It's a silk cotton satin that I got from Fashionista Fabrics when I won the Pattern Review Mini Wardrobe Contest last year (I won a GC from them, yep still happy about that lol).
The pattern actually calls for a knit BUT this fabric has a little give in it. I don't know. I'm going to make a muslin first, but I think this will be fierce as a LBD. Put on the right accessories and some FIYA shoes that I ALREADY OWN!?!? HA! baaaaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbby.
Ok, I'm excited! LOL
That's all I have y'all!
Have a GREAT weekend and be safe!!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Boy you should know that........ I've got you on my minddddddddddddd lol What y'all know bout dat!?? I was on Sasha blog yesterday and this came up in her playlist...I started singing in her comment box and forgot my comment!!! LOL
Alrighty now...when Patrice came last month, she showed me how to make soap....BAAAAAAAABYYYYYYY LOVE IT!!! Here are two that I've gotten the kinks out of lol
This one I made for Tony. He loved it! When he ran out he was like you gotta make me some more soap! LOL
It's a goat's milk base and I added this "soapy" lol smelling fragrance and powder pumice. I used a massage bar mold and he said it was great. I didn't get a chance to try this one.
This one was pure LOVE. It's a "butter bar" made from Shea butter, cocoa butter and it has a drop of vitamin e oil in it.... It smells like buttercream icing. Mom loved it. She said she put it down so Ozzie (her mini yorkie) could smell it and he licked it lol. It's NOT food!
The first time I made the butter bar it would NOT set! It was soft and squishy..ewwww. I didn't need to use the citric acid! LOL Lesson learned!!
I'm about to place another order for some more stuff because I have a LOT I want to try out before the holidays!! I love that Tony and my mom are my "testers" lol.
Alright that is it! OHHH look for some scrappies in the next few days ANDDDDDDDDDDDDD some beading! WOOHOOO! I'm sure you can see my knitting under the soap ;-)
Lemme leave you with a parting shot of my latest addiction lol
YUM
Y'all have a great one!

Lawwwwwwwwwddddd last night we had some friends over and some kinda way Tony and I started singing this and whew chile lol
On to some food lol. I figured since the holiday is here, a nice easy cake would be a good place to start. I made this one back in ummm March? April??? LOL I honestly don't remember lol
Ooookk
This is one I REALLY didn't like. I'll list the recipe as I made it and tell you what changes I will make if I make this again:
ALMOST ALWAYS, the first time I use a recipe I will follow it as written the first time...
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS
Next time I make this I will use yellow cake mix and make my own whip cream. I do NOT like whip cream you get out of the store. Tastes weird to me lol.
That's it. If you try it and like it let me know!
Y'all have a safe holiday weekend!!!!

No throw back Friday but just as song that has been on my heart for the past couple of days....
Lyrics:
Lord I thank you for this day
That was not promised to me
Lord I thank you for my health and strength
And saving me one day
When I think about the things I want
Not the things God knows I really need
There are miracles and blessings for me
We complain about our shoes
When some people don't have no feet
We complain about no money
But still the Lord does feed
For when I think about the things I want
Not the things God knows I really need
There are miracles and blessings for me
We need to trust God more and learn to love him more
And believe and keep the faith in what we cannot see
For when I think about the things I want
Not the things God knows I really need
There are miracles and blessings for me
We need to trust God more and learn to love him more (Jesus)
And believe and keep the faith in what we cannot see
For when I think about the things I want
Not the things God know I really need
There are miracles and many blessings
There are miracles and so many blessings
There are miracles many miracles many miracles
Many miracles many miracles and blessings
There are miracles and blessings for me
Have a wonderful weekend.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww sookie sookie nah lol
How about more randomness...lol
Let's start with memorial day stuff....
Tony and I cooked and had friends over...
It started to rain but that didn't stop the grilling...just grab an umbrealla :-)
The spread....
I love to cook y'all. Seriously. There was enough food for everyone to take home for a COUPLE of days and have lunch lol. We ate GOOD lol.
I got Jaelyn to snap a quick pic while I was putting the icing on...this cake was OFF THE CHAINS. Recipe to come soon lol. I gotta catch up with the old stuff first lol.
The chocolate cake wasn't so good, but it was my fault. I got distracted and let it cook too long. I will make this one again.
THe KEY to all this baking is to do it when people are coming over so you don't keep any of it lol. Oh, that's what I do lol.
Tyler ate EVERYBODY strawberries lol
No matter WHAT we eat at my house....the itis is coming lol
Once you hit the sofa....its OVER.
Tony and Aj cut grass...
Train up a child lol...
My herbs are looking SUPERB. I broke some off the other day. Can't wait to use them. I'm so proud!
GO ME! LOL
My lily is also doing wonderfully!
This is HUGE for me lol. I don't do green living stuff well! LOL
I found a new ironing board cover. Yes I know I can just make one, but I didn't wanna lol. Besides, this one was only 4 bucks lol.
Love my little pin cushion lol.
I picked up some really cute cotton knits to make the girls some elastic waist shorts. Gonna keep it simple. I let them pick what they wanted lol. THAT was funny!
Ok that is ALL for me! Y'all have a great Friday!
Stay safe!

Mine will be JAMMED PACKED!!! Starting today lol. It's my "errand day" so umm yeah Imma be hella busy.
All the kids have bday parties Saturday so umm YEAH lol. Tony said he would take Jaelyn. FINE WITH ME LOL.
I have been sewing my behind off! I had a DISASTER. LOL BEAUTIFUL fabric, sucky pattern lol. I have wonderful friends who talked me out of throwing the dress away and saving the fabric and making an elastic waist skirt lol. More on this later.
That's it or this is gonna turn into a rambling post! LOL
Hope y'all have a great weekend!! Stay SAFE!!!

Say whattttttttttt!?!?!
How long has it been since you have heard THIS!? LOL
I am SO glad it's Friday!!! What do you guys have planned??
I hope to dabble in a little bit of this and a little bit of that lol.
Thanks for all the great compliments on my dress! I really love it! I think I am going to take the hem up just a little bit so that it is right above my knee. MAYBE, I do think it will look a tad bit better that way lol.
I had a really hard day yesterday. Just crying out of the blue. Once I cried I was ok, but there was still a lingering heaviness in my heart still. I guess that's normal? I dunno.
Please get ready to see some food post pop up. I have a TON of stuff saved in my drafts so yeah. ALL the cakes and stuff were made during the holiday season unless otherwise noted lol. Just be warned lol. I did a LOT of baking lol.
Ok, that's all I have!
Y'all have a great day, a fabulous weekend and stay safe!

I had a conversation that went like this...
Me: Hey remember this song?
Andre: Yeah. I love that song.
Me: Yeah I know.
Me: Were you sleeping?
Andre: Yep
Me: Why you sleep so early?
Andre: I haven't had any sleep in the last couple of days.
Me: Why not?
Andre: I wasn't sleepy.
DEAD! LOL I dont' know WHY that tickled me so. I guess because he was so serious lol. UMmm guess you had to be there lol

It's Friday!! Let's JAM
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready to wear my heels and toes out!!! LOL
I went looking for a certain kind of shoe yesterday and saw this:
Not EVEN what I was looking for but, HOW FREAKING HOT IS THIS DAMN SHOE!?!? The store had it in nude. I was *THIS* close to getting it but decided to wait and HOPE that I could find it in black. I LOVE a nude shoe, and I have one or two?? lol but I would get a TON more wear out of black. These babies will be here SOON! YAY!!
BCBG is normally my favorite shoe designer but I have been really disappointed with their stuff as of late.
While on the subject of shoes....I bought these boots a while back...got a REALLY good deal. My problem? I don't know what to wear them with. Now I think I dress pretty well but these light colored boots have me baffled. How should I wear these!? Should I have them dyed....like chocolate brown. Hmmm they are suede. Anyone have any experience with that? I might run them over to the shoe man today.
Ohhh lookie! I made a necklace lol
And a close up....kinda lol
I am going to wear this with my wrap dress I made the other day. I've been sewing lol. Reviews to come soon lol.
I went to one of my LYS and picked up some yarn for a NEW Green Gable. I will NOT be defeated! LOL
Ohhhh isn't it purrrttttyyyyy. I tell you what...the colors online and the colors IRL are VERY different! This stuff is SUPER vibrant online. But it's still pretty lol. I took some pics inside the yarn store but they are on my other camera and it's upstairs so I will have to upload those later lol.
What are you guys doing this weekend?
ME? I plan on sitting behind my machines until I just can't take it anymore lol.
My serger is doing something funny. I started a thread on Pattern Review...if you guys have any insight...can you let me know? I've tried everything they suggested on the thread and STILL the same issue. I will be at Singer FIRST thing in the morning.
Y'all have a great weekend!!!

RAK WINNER FROM YESTERDAY IS....
Can you see who is in the NUMBER ONE SPOT? Send me your snail mail addy! You can click the picture to make it bigger! Congrats and look for another one soon!!!
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAA man!!!
This used to be the JAM! Well it is STILL in rotation lol.
Now on to some sewing stuff lol.
I am on the clock to get a few things made. I put a little widget under my profile pic so I can hopefully meet my goal. If not..oh well. It is JUST a goal. I will NOT rush lol. Rushing and sewing is NOT good lol.
McCall's 5241 I need something to throw over my arms just in case I get COOL and not cold. I will use this eyelet type sweater knit that I got from Hancock. I've had this for a while. Finished January 26, 2009
Butterick 5247 I swear this is one of my FAVORITE patterns!! This time I am going to make the dress version using this lovely bamboo knit I picked up from Gail K last summer. Finished January 23, 2009
Have you noticed I'm STILL sewing from my stash!?!? lol
Vogue 8379 Good ole Vogue 8379! I think I've made this 3 times? I LOVE this dress and it really is a TNT pattern! This is a jersey I picked up from my trip to North Carolina last November. FINISHED FEBRUARY 4, 2009
Vogue 8390 View B.I wanted to do something fun with this top. I didn't want to go with a solid and since spring really is JUST around the corner I want to use this fun knit. I can NOT remember where I got this from lol. Finished January 24, 2009
Vogue 8291 I LOVE view A of this shirt. Just a simple tunic but I'm torn on the fabric. I don't know if I should use this yellow, that I picked up in Nashville OR this one...
I got this one from Hancock and it's like this purple-ish color with gold undertones. I think it is really pretty. What do you think? Which one?? I can't decide.
Vogue 8558 One can never have enough casual tops. I am really liking view A but since it IS still January I will be making view B. FINISHED FEBRUARY 7, 2009
Vogue 8565 At first glance this looked really maternity-ish. But upon closer inspection...I can jazz this up. I think this will be a great "car ride" or run out and grab the kids outfit. Comfy but still cute. I don't know bout y'all and y'all KNOW how I feel about sweats! I am only going to make the top from this one and wear the pants below with it. DISASTER!! LOL Thrown away February 7, 2009
McCall's 5819 I didn't even notice this pattern until made it. Too cute!!! I was going to make mine in coral but ummm lol Imma do mine in black. I am gonna make the pants in black too and wear them with the above pattern lol. FINISHED February 8, 2009
LAST but NOT least....
Vogue 1099 I have LOVED this jacket since the moment I laid eyes on it. My problem!?!? Hancock didn't have the patterns when they were on sale. This one WILL be made in white pique "IF" it gets to me on time lol. I do believe it will lol. :-)
I think I can do it. These are all pretty easy and straight forward patterns and all my patterns and fabric are cut out EXCEPT the last vogue one...I am stalking my mail main DAILY! LOL
Ok...guess I need to get sewing!!

Let's throw it back shall we?? And I mean WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY back....
See, lemme tell y'all bout this kinda music. I may not have been born until 1977 but I GREW UP ON THIS! Listen to the words...THERE IS SO MUCH TRUTH IN THIS DAMN SONG!!!! Wanna read the lyrics?? You can check them out HERE. Music THESE days is alright to "bounce" to but it has almost NO meaning...and I did say ALMOST lol.
Faces have been blurred/cropped to protect the innocent.
WHO can 'splain this to me??? WHY he got a LOW haircut in the front and dreads in the back????
I'll wait......
Say it with me GTFOOH!!
Y'all have NO idea the stuff I have seen lol. I'mma show it to you one picture at a time. I had a VERY sweet blog reader who sent me a WHOLE BUNCHA HOT MESS PICTURES!!! LOL So if y'all see something out there that needs to be featured on GTFOOH...send it to me and I will post them lol. Gotta love reader submissions lol.
Ok, that is IT for me guys!
Hope you all have a SUPERB weekend!!!

Man....what DAHELL they got on?!?! LOL
LAWD lol
TOO FUNNY!!!
Let's seee where do I start? LOL
I am going to do Project 365 this year lol. I started a new blog for it and you can follow that HERE if you would like. I still have to jazz it up a bit but I will do that a little bit later on. I'm going to do mine a LITTLE bit different soooooo lol. WIsh me luck with that lol.
I'm also doing Twitpic 365 with Patrice lol. I will PROBABLY use a lot of the same pics lol...just a warning lol.
Tony said his best Christmas gift was tickets to the Papa Johns.com Bowl Game NC State vs. Rutgers. The game was superb.
Here are a couple of pics...
They said the game was packed and it was COLD. It was a part of Patrick's gift too...can't just buy one ticket...and I wasn't going lol.
Ya'll have to excuse Tony's head... *sigh* he is in the process of letting his hair "loc" so ummm yeah he KEEPS that stocking cap thing on it when he is out of the house. LAWD. I will be glad when this phase passes. I have been taking pics sooooo. I will post them soon one day lol. I don't have the very first twists but I do have the beginning of the loc process.
*DEEP SIGH* I went to Sips N Strokes the other night, and did NOT enjoy myself. I have gone a lot as you all know, and I have NEVER not enjoyed myself. That CHANGED. The instructor SARAH whom I will make SURE I NEVER have again was AWFUL. THE ENTIRE CLASS WAS NOT PLEASED. What does that say?! YOU SUCK AS AN INSTRUCTOR!!! The class ended at 9. When I left at 9:45 people were STILL trying to fix their paintings. This was the best I could do with mine. The original picture looked something like this:
TRUST me when I say it took a LOT of work to get it even remotely close to this. I STILL don't like it.
We had a blast on NYE. We went to a family party first...it was Michael Jackson themed lol....
The kids had a blast...there was a ton of food as it ALWAYS is with my family lol...we LOVE to eat lol. I don't know where Jaelyn was when we took this pic lol.
My Uncle Speed (We have a TON of nicknames in the family lol) and my dad lol
Uncle Pig giving me the evil eye lol...he know he love me lol.
My Uncle Wayne...the Host...that is a WIG on his head and his ONE glove lol
We were getting our cha-cha on. I swear that dance never gets old. I sweated my hair out lol, and before you ask, yes that is the same sweater in the above pic....don't act like you ain't never did it before lol
My mom wanted to learn so we were TRYING to teach her....
Had to call for some backup lol...she needs two on one help...One on one wasn't working lol.
Then I went to another party and did it up again lol
I don't think I got out of bed until almost 11 New Year's Day lol.
Ok, that is ALL I GOT! LOL
Hope you guys have a great weekend!
Pray for us...we are doing something new as a family lol.
LAWD! LOL

I don't pull this lil dancin girl out often but when I do lol......
Do y'all remember this song??? LOL I don't know how old it is but I heard it on the radio the other day (which is rare because I am always listening to my IPOD LOL) and I was like danggggggggggggg had to as Patrice who it was. I knew it was Lil' Kim but that is it lol.
Even though she is HOOD...she looked a WHOLE lot better then than she does now.

Did you guys have a good Thanksgiving?? We really really did!!! Why don't you listen to this "throwback" song and get movin....especially for everyone that is going to black Friday sales lol. I don't want ANY part of that madness lol
This has to be one of my FAVORITE Christmas songs!!! LOVE IT!
NOTE TO EVERYONE TAKING PICS LOL....
Make sure your card is formatted BEFORE you want to start taking a lot of pictures lol. I started taking pics at my moms house and my camera kept telling me I didn't have any memory...umm ok I had only taken like five pics lol. This is a 2gig card...umm ok. Then I thought about it. It has been a WHILE since I formatted my card lol. BUT If I would have formatted it then I would have lost all the pics I had already lol.
Here is my Thanksgiving wrap up lol. Doesn't even count the people that were over at our house because I didn't have time to take these pics off the camera before they got here lol and the battery on my point and shoot is DEAD lol
There were no fancy dishes, or place settings...just family, good food and just being together. That is what matters most. I love my family more than anything. When it is all said and done, that's all you have. I let mine know all the time how much I love and appreciate them. Mushy moment over ;-)
We ended up riding 4wheelers with the kids...here are the last two pics I took lol
AJ LOVES TO "POP HIS COLLAR" he is SO cool lol
He is something else.
Here is one I snagged with my camera phone of my dad and Tony working on the motor in my car. SO glad Tony is learning from my dad. All I have to do is buy my parts! LOL
I hope you all have a great weekend. If you all are going out PLEASE be safe and watch your surroundings. FOLKS CRAZY!

Hey Peeps!!! Let's throw it back...
How about a FUNNY throw back...
Do y'all know who that is?!?!? lol I Think Tony was in the 7th or 8th grade....FUNNY!!! LOL
The Dress:
BTW...When I took this pic, I had just finished roller setting my hair lol. TRUST it doesn't look like that now lol
The Story lol....
I started working on this dress last Saturday. I was going to wear it to church on Sunday...welllllll.I had some trouble setting the sleeves and I put it down. I had to rip it back out and I swear that took me ALL WEEK. LOL
Soooooooooooo I get back in the groove of sewing up my dress....got all my gathering PERFECT....the bubble skirt is looking PERFECT...I finish it up...cut away extra thread....ya know...getting READY....
BABBBBBYYYYYYY when I went to put the dress on...it went on JUST FINE...but the more it slid down my behind....whooo lawd...talk about TIGHT...
See, what had happened was...I knew I needed lining fabric to hold the hem in place....I didn't read the pattern envelope (READING IS FUNDAMENTAL Y'ALL)...I used REGULAR OLD ORDINARY LINING FABRIC instead of TRICOT! LOL
Y'all that dress is SO FREAKING TIGHT. I can NOT sit down in it. You should have SEEN me hopping around my studio trying to take it off. HILAROUS. I promise you it took me about 30 minutes to get out of the dress. So I put it on for you guys to take a pic and do my review lol, and Tony had to help me out of it lol. I WILL make this again because I REALLY like this dress....next time I will just use the correct lining ;-)
It might look normal from the outside...but I PROMISE you...that sucker is TIGHT lol
Alright...that is IT for me! Have a fun and safe weekend!!!

This week has gone by SO fast!!!
Thank you ALL for your prayers for my cousin. She is doing very well and the other driver and the children are fine as well. Those kids were all under the age of three and were NOT in car seats. NO WORDS!
I have to say, my cousin and I aren't very close. We never have been but family is family. We bumped heads in a big way last summer and things are JUST now right between us. Meaning we can speak and ask how the other is doing and really mean it lol. I saw her at the wedding Saturday and we spoke, had a nice little conversation and we talked again at church on Sunday. Family is still family.
Y'all ready to throw it back??
Mannnnn, I was jammin last night lol..Come on ride that train lol
I gotta tell y'all. I was actually scared to drive the other day. I kept feeling like it was going to be my time next. I can't tell y'all the number of times, I've had a blow out or a flat tire. Heck, last year I was hit by an 18 wheeler!!! I was really scared. Then I remembered that I should not have the spirit of fear and perfect love casts out fear. I prayed...then I got in my car and drove off.
I was the QUEEN of texting and driving. NO MORE. If you get a message from me you best believe I am at a red light or a stop sign or something lol. NOT driving lol.
I have been spending a GOOD bit of time on Ravelry....I think I might have ONE FO for 2008!! I have couple things picked out that I want to do. I WAS going to do a sweater from fitted knits...but ummm. I need to start with a hat or a scarf lol. You know...get my mojo flowing.
I have done some sewing! I am on a shirt kick right now...I have NO short sleeve tops. Seriously. All of my stuff is sleeveless lol. So my next few items will be shirts....and dresses of course. I love dresses.
Since I'm now rambling...how about a pattern review:
Pattern Description:
Semi-fitted, pullover tunics A, C or above mid-knee dresses B, D have cowl-like collar, short or long dolman sleeves and belt. Purchased top, pants and belt.
Pattern Sizing:
8-14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't even use them.....VERY rare for me :-)
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Loved the entire pattern!
Fabric Used: Knit from Hancock.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I shortened the tunic by four inches. I didn't like where it hit me...it cut my legs in half :-)
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I plan on making the dress version, and possibly another top. This is soooo easy to wear and it's ONLY three pieces.
Conclusion: I REALLY love this top!!!!!!
Alright that is IT guys! Have a great weekend!! Stay safe!!!

WHOO HOO!!! TGIF! Are you glad it's Friday? I am!!! This week ZOOMED by!!! I mean seriously!
Let's throw it back!
Y'all know you used to love this song lol. Don't even front lol. Tenderoni is still in rotation on my ipod lol
Last night Jaelyn's school had their Homecoming dance. Nothing formal. Just regular school wear and Jaelyn went with Tony this year...
I don't know if you can see it in this picture, but Tony has decided to twist his hair....I'll get a better pic later...I think he actually wants dreads...it's growing on me :-) Shut-up Patrice lol.
Jaelyn was SO excited about her dad going with her lol. I'm happy that they are as close as they are. I hope they can always be that way.
What do you guys have planned for the weekend?? Not a whole lot here. I am actually going to a wedding that I am NOT in NOR am I shooting. Will be fun!
I was going to make McCall 5746 to wear to the wedding but the cleaners STILL doesn't have my fabric. I went to pick it up the other day and they said it would be ready this morning..WELL...I went around 4 in the afternoon and it STILL wasn't there. I am going to CLOWN if they have lost my black wool crepe.
SERIOUSLY.
So now I will pull something out of the closet to wear. I just WANTED a new dress.
Ok, that is all for me right now. Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend! Be safe!

ANYONE else glad it's Friday!??! Sheesh I am. Let's throw it back...
Mannnnn LOVE me some Mary J. What year was this? 1994??????
Thanks for all your prayers, well wishes and emails. This has been SOME week!
Tony is doing fine....he was just shaken up.
What are you guys doing this weekend? Ours will be packed. I have so much to do. I WANT to try and sneak to the movies today to see Nights in Rodanthe. I just finished the book last week and it was superb. The main characters name was Adrienne lol....and she had 3 kids lol. There is a 1:15 showing that I hope to make. We will see. I have a LOT to do today as well lol.
How about a Pattern Review..
Vogue 8118 OOP
Pattern Description:
Semi-fitted, pull-on tops have raglan sleeves in various lengths and stitched hems
Pattern Sizing:
6-12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes it was similar.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were fine.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the entire pattern. It's well drafted and I didn't have any trouble with it.
Fabric Used:
Ivory Bamboo knit
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
This pattern is designed to be made up in a woven. Since I used a knit I had to go a size down. Also, in the description it is a semi-fitted shirt. That is because of the ribbon ties. I didn't want this shirt to tie in the back so I ended up taking almost 2 inches off of both sides. I was REALLY inspired by this
Theory Knit Top (hmmm this might be my first official knock off? LOL)so I made view A and B. I used the sleeves from view A and simply added some elastic to the sleeves to create a simple puff sleeve. I didn't want to line the sleeve so this was the next best thing IMO. I did NOT include the facings. When I went to add them on, it didn't give me the look I was going for so didn't use them lol. I love the drape of the collar without it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I REALLY like this top but with so many other patterns out there for me to try I HIGHLY doubt if I make it again, but I highly suggest it if you can find it.
Conclusion:
Great pattern!
I had this list of what I was going to work on next....just scratch that lol. I've done everything BUT that lol.
Y'all have a great weekend! BE SAFE!!!

Let's throw it back!!!
Now if you want to see something funny, watch the video HERE I couldn't embed it lol. WHAT do they have on? LOL and check out those moves lol.
The other day, I was in the garage with my dad and I just started to get kinda weepy. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that my mom had been talking about my dads accident. July 15, 2003. Five years ago. WOW. My dad told my mom he wondered what she would have been doing if he had died. Yes, he could have died. I realized it then, but the more I thought about it the other day, I was just overwhelmed with thankfulness. I am SUCH a daddy's girl. YES EVEN AT 30 lol.
(Excuse the crappy cell phone pics)

I was watching him work with his brother (my dad is in the brown tshirt) and was just amazed at how far he has come. After being non weight bearing for SO long, having to do physical therapy for SO LONG...it's just good to see him active again. He is no where near as strong as he used to be, but he worked hard to regain his strength. He has so much so much passion and loves to work. He sits down every now and then but he loves being busy. Think that's where I get it from? LOL
I turned my attention to Aj who was just in awe of what my dad was doing. I don't think he even blinked while he watched him. I was thankful all over again that my dad made it out of that accident. He does a lot with the kids, but especially AJ. Teaching him what he knows. The girls love to hang out with him and they will be the same way I was lol. My dad taught me early on about cars lol. I can change my oil and my tires if I need to. I can tell you what I THINK is wrong with a car even if I can't fix it. lol. I remember being a little girl and helping him at my uncles shop lol. Passing him the tools he asked for and helping him clean them off when it was time to go. My kids will get to have those same memories.
I'm happy my kids have my dad. Hopefully he will be around for a long, LONG time.
Ok, moving on lol.
I made the red velvet cake again for Tony the other day. He called home from work around 1-ish and begged me to make another one...
I forgot to take a pic of it once it was made...when I took this I had hands out ready for their slice. I don't know what it is about red velvet cake but folks pop up out of the woodworks lol. I sent most of it away. Might be two slices left lol. If you cut it small lol.
Sorry Stacey, this one has nuts lol
The person I got the recipe from doesn't want me to giveit out but I did try another one this time. I got it from The Comfort Table by Katie Lee Joel. This book is awesome btw. I plan on making some more stuff from it this coming week.
AND I found the recipe online! I wasn't sure if I could scan it right out of the book so this makes it even better. It's really good.
Grandmother Paul's Red Velvet Cake
I will say this. The first time I try a recipe, I make it exactly like it's written. The next time, I tweak it. This is VERY sweet. I think you can get away with way less sugar. I'll make it again with my changes but NOT until next year lol. I don't even think I'm doing red velvet for Christmas lol.I want to try a southern comfort cake.I've never had any (that I can remember) and I keep hearing rave reviews!!
If you make the cake let me know how you like it!
I FINALLY got my Ali Edwards Book
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many neat ideas. LOVE IT!!!!!!
As if this post isn't already long enough.... I have become obsessed with finding a pattern like this jumpsuit:
The $450 price tag is not appealing at all lol. I also love the style of this one, but don't like how the legs taper:
at $324 it's less but not too much lol. Looks so comfy. I'm so obsessed lol. I'll make it now if I can find a pattern and make a wrap to go with it lol.
Have a great weekend!!

Let's get started shall we??? Let's throw it waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy back lol.
This song is just CLASSIC!!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh your love's for reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllll now lol. *Sang* it with me!!!!
M5193 My Review:
Let me start first by saying this is NOT the picture I will be using for Pattern Review lol. I was seriously not dressed but needed a pic in the jacket lol...we can move on now lol.
Dressform:
Collar:
Button:
Inside
Inside close:
Topstitching:
I must start by saying the instructions to this jacket are SUPERB. You guys know I am "follower" of the guide sheet" seriously. If I don't look at it...there are only a few pieces involved lol.
I did however pull out the following books to help me even more:
Easy Guide to Sewing Linings by Connie Long
Couture Sewing Techniques by Claire B. Shaeffer
Now why didn't just ONE book help?? Each book offered me something different.
You guys have NO idea how proud I am of myself for this jacket. This is my most favorite item to date.
Fabric:
Gabardine and silk for the lining.
Pattern Description:
Misses lined jacket
Pattern Sizing:
8-14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes very easy. This pattern is very well drafted!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved this entire pattern.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
I actually made some changes!! WOO HOO lol. Ok, not serious ones but still. My mom has a white jacket that has a seam across the top of the jacket. I loved it, so I played around with it and did the same thing to my jacket (this picture) It's not a dart, but just another seam.
I also decided to add some top stitching to both sides of the seams. This took longer than anything because I had to draw the lines on using a ruler and chalk. NO WAY IN THE WORLD could I have gotten the stitching this straight without it.AND I SEWED VERY, VERY, VERY SLOWLY LOL.
I also decided to omit the pocket flap.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
If I ever need another jacket, this will be the one I make. I will not even attempt (I don't think lol) to make a different pattern.
Conclusion:
Overall great pattern. I'm very pleased that I decided to go with this one. It's an older pattern but a great one none the less.
I won't add this review to Pattern Review until next week sometime. This is part of my mini wardrobe and for the lined jacket contest :-)
That's it for me guys! Hope you have a great weekend!!!!

How about a little throw back??? Remember this one?!?!?
How about a little "What Not To Wear"?
LOL Enter in Vogue 1056...
While this is an EXTREMELY beautiful dress....it does NOT look good on me. SERIOUSLY. When I put it on for Tony he told me to take that shit off lol. I look like I was going to play football lol. NOT A GOOD LOOK. This type sleeve and neckline does NOTHING for me.
Will I put it on for you guys? HELL NO lol. I look a hot mess...TRUST ME ON THAT ONE LOL.
You can read a full review HERE.
I have not liked my last few sewing projects. AT ALL. Do you guys go through that too? I mean I hardly ever read of something not working out for folks, so I guess they are just perfect sewers lol. Everything they make WORKS lol. That ain't me lol.
I started on my jacket M 5193 and it is going BEAUTIFULLY!!! So I am hoping the bad sewing ju-ju is gone lol. I have to add the lining and I will be done. I did some topstitching and made it a LITTLE different from the pattern but I LOVE the changes I made!!! I hope to review it on Monday.
Counting down the days until the kids get out of my house go to school. We are ALL very excited and VERY ready!!!
OH, look what I finally got in the mail. Thank goodness for kind, kind, friends that live on the other side of the water! Thank you so much Tany!!! I'm loving it!
I have still been going to the Dr's every couple of weeks, and when I went the other day, my iron was SOOOOO low. They gave me a new iron tablet and ummm it has made me break out so bad. UGH. Hate it, but I have to take them so oh well.
My first 5k is in a few short weeks and I'm so excited about it!! I was going through my mail yesterday and saw this:
I am SO signing up!! I never knew how much I would actually love running!!! Tony said he will come with me to this one and bring the kids since it's also a fun run!! So yay!!!!
Ummm what else? I guess that is it! LOL Hope you all have a super fabulous weekend!! I know I plan on it! Last wedding until September 20th!

Been a busy/rough week so not much to report, other than my latest obsession.....
Zanete said it was bound to happen when I started playing around with making my own stitch markers back in May 2007 I was SO determined not to let it happen lol. I would still buy beads so Zanete could make my necklaces. Ummm not anymore lol. We are going to bead together soon so it will be fun! She is also going to upgrade my tools lol. You can look for me to make more of my own jewelry soon.
Tony told me not to bring another hobby in the house lol.
Ok more later...Enjoy your late throw back Friday lol

Well that is it for me. I HOPE to have my storyboard finished by tomorrow. Photoshop just sat open today lol. I have all my patterns picked out...I can NOT think of a name...Maybe we should have a name the mini-wardrobe contest..Hmmm sounds like a good idea lol.

Today is going to be such a busy day for me but I wouldn't have it ANY OTHER WAY! What do you all have planned for the weekend!?
Let's throw it back!!!
I went to bed with Bob Marley...and woke up with him. LOVE THIS SONG. Crap, I LOVE BOB MARLEY!!! LOL
Let me make a confession.....my name is Adrienne and I am a box keeper. I was cleaning out a closet the other day (making space for my fabric lol) and I have SO many boxes. But not just ANY boxes...boxes that my sewing machines came out of...I still have the box my macbook came in...my cell phones..my cameras, lenses. I just didn't realize it...soooooo I decided to take them outside to our storage house...guess what was out there?!? MORE BOXES lol. I ended up breaking MOST of them down and putting them in the trash lol. I DID keep my sewing machine, camera and lens boxes in tact though. I did good lol.
While I'm confessing...I'm also addicted to knits:
And that's not even half of them lol. I SERIOUSLY love knits. WOW. lol
While I was going through my fabrics the other day I found this sweater knit:
and one with it unfolded:
I'm guessing I have about 2.5 yards. I have NO idea when I got this but I know I was with my mom because she has some too lol. Any pattern suggestions? I THINK I have a couple in mind but I haven't pulled them out yet. I LOVE the colors in this.
Then while cleaning out the closet, I found this denim jacket that I no longer liked but I LOVED the buttons:
I took all the buttons off and saved them lol The jacket is LONG gone lol.
OMG...y'all know I love to go to the spa right? WELL I went to a different one yesterday and I LOVED IT....I've only been to one spa I didn't like though lol. Those of you local need to check out Fusion Spa. I had a facial, the cleopatra body treatment and a swedish massage. An afternoon of PURE BLISS. OMG. I wish I could go back today lol. So glad I didn't have to drive myself back home lol.
Remember my plea for a Martha Stewart Punch!?!? Then I let you guys know that it had been found?!?
Well GUESS what came fed-ex???!?!
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes YES!! Thank you SO MUCH KIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate it soooooooooooo much!
I also got this one:
They are so similar....but Martha Stewart ROCKS!!!
And on a final note, I will leave you with some cuteness:
and one more lol
Is there anything cuter?? They are living in my kids playhouse LOL I wish I could keep all five of them...but Tony said that's too many damn cats lol.
Have a great weekend guys!

This Throw Back Friday is compliments of Mr. Nixon ;-)
Yep...that's a good one lol
What do you guys have planned for the weekend!??!
It will be a busy one for Adrienne the photographer but other than that, I have NO plans...Hope it stays that way lol
Last night I made Shrimp Scampi.... <-----------(click link for recipe)
It was sooooo good. And really easy to make. I made enough for eight, but I love that you can change the serving size.
I was mad because all the fresh broccoli looked like crap....I had to use frozen...but oh well lol.
**ATTENTION ANY AND ALL SCRAPPERS**
I am SERIOUSLY on the hunt for one of the Martha Stewart Scallop Border Punches. If any of you run across one, will you pick it up for me??? I can mail you a money order or paypal you lol. I have had THE hardest time finding one lol. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE and thank you lol.
Prepare yourself. Next week will be scrap overload week. I have SO many projects to share. Might as well get it done lol. I will also finish showing the rest of my summer wardrobe. I've started cutting out some of the back to school stuff for the girls. They have had a BALL picking out fabric. LOL
Ok, I think that is all!
I hope you all have a FAB, FAB, FAB weekend!

Gotta start off with a GET CRUNK type of Throw Back....
Looooooooooooooove Run DMC!
Dana what you got today!?!?! LOL
Yesterday was CRAZY lol. Me and all three of the kids had dentist appointments....starting at 8:30. Aj told me he didn't feel good but I was assuming it was because he was tired. Welllllllllllllllll looks like I should have listened because while I was signing all of us in, he threw up all over the waiting room lol. The staff there is AWESOME. He seemed to be feeling better once it was all up so the staff watched him while the girls and I got our teeth cleaned. He was okay but still kinda tired so he slept most of the day. WELL around 8ish I was on the phone when he started throwing up again...ugh. BUT after that he was UP, AWAKE and ready to play.Figures lol.
Zanete and Kellie came over yesterday and we had a good time. I had to hem a dress for Zanete and I wanted her to curl my hair lol...
Yes I was still sewing lol...
She did a good job lol...thank you Zanete :-)
I put her to work too since she was SO crazy about me wearing the dress I couldn't find lol.
She had to cut out the ties/straps for my dress lol. Too funny. I still don't know where my dress is lol. But it is coming together quickly. I HOPE to finish it sometime this morning. I have a beautiful red silk jersey that has been in my stash for some time now. It feels soooooo good.
Let me leave you with this picture lol. How 1980's is airbrushed t-shirts? LOL
They went CRAZY when they saw these shirts lol. They thought they were THE coolest thing lol. I remember having one YEARS ago lol. And yes, Aj has vampire teeth lol.
Alright guys! I hope you have a fun and safe holiday!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Let's THROW IT BACK!!!!!
I was talking with a good friend yesterday and we started talking about this song lol. I could NOT get it out of my head lol.
Have you guys had a good week!? I have. Looking forward to the weekend though! LOL
For all the knitters lookieeeeeeeeeeeeee:
and a close up...love my point and shoot lol
See, I HAVE been knitting. I have more progress than this. I think I took this ummmm a couple days ago. Stacey said we were knitting with dental floss...she was right lol. I am still going to have to start over ONE more time...my tension is really off when I purl......
Here is the recipe for the vanilla icecream. I got this from my grandma who said this was the way her mom made it.
3 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
5 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
6 1/4 cups milk
5 cups whipping cream
Combine sugar, flour and salt in saucepan. gradually Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat approximately 15 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly.
Gradually stir about 1 cup of hot mixture into the beaten eggs. Add egg mixture to remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly. Cook 1 minute; remove from heat.
Refrigerate 2 hours. Combine whipping cream and vanilla in a large bowl. Add chilled mixture, stirring with wire wisk to combine.
Thats when the recipe says to turn the crank until frozen lol....well I plugged my icecream maker up lol.
I also made a couple of apple pies:
YUM. I made one for home and two for a friend who would seriously forget she knows me if I don't make her two pies when I make one, so she ALWAYS gets one lol. I used the recipe of some great, great great aunt or something lol. It has been passed down forever and I will give it to my girls when it's time.
While on the subject of cooking, I cooked THE BEST shrimp and grits last night. OMG
and a close up...
OMG...even looking at it now is making me hungry again. Talk about good. I had a serious case of the "itis" Had to take the kids out to play at the park once we got up lol. Here is the recipe:

Remember this!?!?
Not much going on here.
Kayla is getting better. She is still kinda weak and tired but she did have a dance contest with her brother and sister yesterday then they all got in trouble so that is a good sign lol.
My sewing mojo ran off and is on an island having BIG FUN (just saw the episode of the Cosby show when Vanessa went off to see the retched and have BIG FUN lol), so hopefully it will come back. I need to sew lol
Tomorrow I will start my mini KAL....goodness, I hope I remember how to knit! LOL I am excited about it though.
I have been scrapping to fill the void that sewing has left and that has been refreshing. I love being able to switch out hobbies when my mojo decides to run off lol.
I had to reschedule my sessions for earlier this week since Kayla was sick and umm yeah now I'm B-O-O-K-E-D lol. I love it though.
What are you guys doing over the weekend!? Any big fathers day plans? We are always doing something for Tony (I like to celebrate all the time, not just on special days lol) but the kids (aka me lol) and I have some nice things planned for him.
Ok, that's it for me. I've rambled on enough!
Have a great weekend!!!

This one is for my girl, who helped me through a ROUGH week! (so much greatness on this stage)LOL.
I was messsssssssssssssssssssed up lol. Slowly on the mend though lol, slowly on the mend lol.
I've been having a blast with the kids this week. They have REALLY enjoyed VBS (Vacation Bible School) and so have I LOL. I would drop them off and proceed to run around town and do everything I had to do without them woo hoo lol. Then pick them up and continue on with the day and do different things with them lol. GOOD TIMES!
I had NO mojo this week. NONE lol. I was on the phone with a couple of very close girlfriends this week (BIG MISTAKE LOL) do NOT talk on the phone, laughing and carrying on while trying to cut fabric. NOT a good thing lol. Trust me lol. I was SO not paying attention and would not realize it until I started sewing lol.
So I did manage to sew ONE thing this week, which was actually last night:
Vogue 2976
and a semi back view
The pics SUCK because Jaelyn really didn't want to do it. Something about being sleepy?? lol
I used a linen silk blend from Textile Studios. Let me tell you, I am SO hooked on linen blends now. They are SO much easier to press and do not wrinkle as badly. LOVE IT. I don't think I will EVER buy 100% linen again....I don't think lol.
So here is where things get "interesting" lol. While on the phone with very close girlfriends(Remember BIG MISTAKE LOL), I decide I'm going to lengthen the tank because right out of the pattern envelope, it is 21inches, which hits me RIGHT above my belly button....ummm NOT a good look. So I added 7 inches to it, so it can fall right on my hip line. Besides, I wanted to wear a big belt with it. Hmmm, since I was on the phone (laughing and having a good time lol) I FORGOT to compensate for my hips..you know, since the top was going to go over them. HA lol.
You should have heard me laughing when I tried my top on, only to realize that it would NOT fit over my hips lol. So I had to "blouse" it over the belt <---is that the correct term??? LOL
But Adrienne, why didn't you just cut out another one? Well...while I was talking on the phone ( I did say big mistake right? LOL) Instead of cutting the front of the tank on the fold, I cut two pieces. I don't know WHY lol. I know I don't want a big seam down the center front of my tank, so I just cut out another one on the fold. There went my extra fabric lol.
So, I started the pants...
Ok, you guys KNOW I follow the directions to the "T" ALWAYS. I don't consider myself good enough to do it without them. Well. On this pattern they have you do an invisible zip in the center front. I did NOT like that for some reason. Seems like center back is a better place for a zipper. Again, I was on the phone and I even told my friend, I had to check off the steps as I do them. I was still not doing something right, so I got off the phone and for the first time EVER, I threw the directions on the floor and just made the pants. OMG, SO EASY! LOL So liberating lol.
And they came out great!
On a total side note, when EVER I make pants....And I do mean WHEN EVER I MAKE PANTS, I ALWAYS sew the back legs together. I don't know why I do it, but it happens EVER SINGLE TIME. Thank GOD for my seam ripper. LOL
The moral of this LONG story is, when you are talking to your girlfriends, laughing and having a good time...Do NOT sew or cut fabric. Maybe you already know that! LOL
Lookie at what the sewing fairy brought me:
**should be more like, what I had to go pick up from UPS because I missed the delivery LOL**
Ok that is IT for me! You guys have a great weekend! I have four sessions today, I had eight last Friday lol. It's that time of year.

Do y'all remember this?!?!?!?!
Yeahhhh man lol
And some sewing......
Vogue 8489 You can read a full review HERE:
( I posted two pics, because I couldn't decide on which shoes to wear lol. I have a clutch for both pair...so what do you guys think?) I am leaning more toward the red though lol. ;-)
I simply love this dress. It was really easy to make and didn't really take too much time at all. The only thing I did differently was to omit the zipper. I seriously see NO need for a zipper in a knit dress. ESPECIALLY if I can get it over my head with no trouble lol, but that is just MY opinion.
This fabric was a gift from a dear friend! I was anxiously awaiting the May BWOF issue so I could make something else with this fabric (which I NEVER got and yes I DO subscribe) but I am glad I didn't get it. This dress was perfect for it!
I am still rocking my ponytail until I decide what I am going to do with my hair...It is making me feel so BLAH I gotta do something SOON....ugh.
I also noticed that it is either time for me to go jewelry shopping or bead shopping so Zanete can make me some necklaces. I could have SWORN she made me a red bead necklace but I could NOT find it lol. Oh Zannnnneteeeeeeeeeee lol.
In other news, I am contest happy lol. I have entered Advance Beginner Contest
and the Stash Contest on Pattern Review. I STILL don't know what I'm going to do for the Advance Beginner contest, but I plan on picking something out tonight. I think it will be fun. I love using all the new techniques that I often read about but was too scared to try lol. Now I'm not scared anymore. I like that feeling! LOL I remember a time when I was afraid of Vogue patterns! LOL
Those of you in the area, don't forget about my class tonight at Scrap Etc. I think there are a couple spaces left (well there were the other day lol) so call and see if you can still sign up.

Ok, HOPEFULLY it is May 2 and this has posted! LOL. If you didn't know, I normally set up all my Throw Back Friday's to post ahead of time, every Friday at midnight, so I think we are set for a few months lol...SERIOUSLY! LOL
Now let me tell you about this song.
Growing up, my Uncle (Mom's brother) had a New Year's party EVERY YEAR!!! Talk about fun! He would play this song right after midnight and we would all have a laughing good time. Now my family is NOT small...my mom's mom had eleven kids...my dad's mom...
are you sitting....
TWENTY-NINE KIDS.
And no, they were NOT all single births, and yes all from the same husband lol.
My dad is the baby. No one EVER believes me when I say that, but some of you that I have met IRL and you guys have talked to my parents know that this is true lol.
We have a very close family and I love that...well with the exception of the idiots.....EVERY family has those, mine is NO exception! LOL
Have a GREAT WEEKEND!!

Now, for some rambling...when I find something I just love, love, love lol. I tell you guys about it. This has to be THE best Shea Butter I have EVER had my hands on!!! I LOVE this stuff:
You can check it out HERE. INSANE I tell you!!!! I LOVE this stuff. Ok, I think I've said that.
Next on my LOVE, LOVE, LOVE list, is a drink my mom told me about...
OMG, this stuff is SO GOOD!!!!!! Totally addictive! HERE is their website. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. I wish I could buy it by the case!!!
If you guys don't have THIS BOOK:
You are REALLY missing out! I've had it for a while now and the kids and I have all kinds of pages bookmarked!!! We are going to try out a couple this weekend, well that is the plan lol.
Yesterday I went to this "class" at Hancock. Now, it was said that we would learn all kinds of new techniques never before seen by the home sewing public. Hmmmm. Ok. For $7.00...I'm game. I was so there. NOW, the main focus of the class was the Lutterloh System. Now I have NEVER heard of this, so when the guy started going over the specifics, I was intrigued. VERY. Now it was very, very interesting to see him use this system, but not interesting enough for me to buy it lol. I don't have fitting issues. I can pretty much sew straight out of the pattern envelope with little to no adjustments. So while this wasn't for me, it certainly was interesting.
He also talked about some of the tools we use commonly while sewing and how to get better use out of them. To me the last 30 minutes was well worth it. But I am still a beginner and don't know all the tips and tricks.
I had to check Kayla out of school to get her ready to take some pictures yesterday...Here she is before we left the house:
*sigh* she is such a diva. Y'all just don't know! LOL
I had to snap one while she was getting her pic made :-)
She loves the camera!!! LOL
I have been doing a lot of reading. I put a goodreads widget on my sidebar. It has the reviews of the books I have already read. Right now I am reading The Killer's Wife, and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! I'm almost finished with it.
Ok, that is all I have today. Hope you guys have a fab weekend!!

Remember this?!?!? LOL
Yesterday was a "DAY" you know one of THOSE days....lol Jaelyn was sick (she hardly EVER gets sick)
she stayed home from school (which she was NOT happy about) she is feeling better now so if she is okay in the morning she will go back to school (as long as she doesn't have a fever). Aj came home from school and I was doing something with Kayla, when he took it upon himself to use the scissors in the kitchen to open some type of Easter egg thing with them. BAD move! He sliced the tip of his finger. OUCH! I didn't even see him go in the bathroom, but when I saw him coming out, blood was running down his arm. YUCK! I could NOT get the bleeding to stop, so off to the ER we went. I HATE going to the ER. Aj is fine...his finger is all bandaged up and he will proudly display his "broke" finger tomorrow lol. I did get him for messing with those scissors. He KNOWS better. He has his own 6 year old safe scissors that he uses. I BET he won't touch those again lol.
Ok, that's all!! lol I am STILL tired, lol. Have a GREAT weekend!!!
