You'll get the hang of it. I have been juicing for a minute and it has made a difference to me. You realize that store bought juice is NOT juice. But just a beverage. Don't throw away the pulp. Season it and use it to make crackers or dip. There is valuable fiber in there that you need. and experiment more than do recipes.

We just started juicing 3 weeks ago and LOVE IT! One of my favorites is cabbage and pineapple with some spinach and ginger. Also, juice 2 cups blackberries and put one banana in the blender. Then add the juiced blackberries to the blender and mmmm... good! It is so much fun and so good for you!Enjoy!

I can't wait to start juicing!!! I saw a documentary called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead that piqued my interest!

Good luck!

I just started juicing this week as well! My hubby watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead and asked if we could try juicing to help him lose weight so we're starting slow by replacing one or two meals a day with juice and making as sensible a meal as we can for the other major meal until we get rid of all the groceries we had just bought

It's only been a couple days but so far I'm loving it, still trying to get the hang out of the recipes I'm trying but it's a fun experiment. My advice is to add LESS ginger than the recipes call for until you taste it first, learned that one the hard way ;)

I haven't tried it, but hubby is trying to lose weight and think it would be good for both of us. I want to start with fruit and ease my way into the veggies though...will look into the documentary the ladies are talking about too!

Congrats on juicing! When I juice I like to keep it simple I only use two items at a time, like 1 green vege + 1 fruit or just two veges. If you want a more chilled drink, try green smoothies. I generally use a frozen banana, 1 green leafy vege, a sweet frozen fruit and water. Talk about yummy!

I'm just taking notes on the comments from others about juicing recipes. What a great idea to keep the pulp and use in dips.

How do you feel after drinking juice? Are you only having that in place of meals or alternating between the two?

If I am feeling sick or run down (I have a genetic blood disorder that leaves me run down) I juice fresh beetroot, celery, just a little carrot, a lemon or lime with the skin cut off, and a chunk of ginger. Some ice cubes and YUM. Have two of these a day if you feel like you've been run over and it will get you zapped in no time.

just wanted to stop back by and share something I discovered this week that you may also like to try - I always clean the juicer right away, so I put some ice in the juice while I cleaned and by the time I was done it was nice and cold, and MUCH more pleasant to drink!

Hey Adrienne,
Just wanted to pop in and suggest you add ice to your juice. Also, juice is made to be consumed right away. Don't save it. The vital nutrients juicing provides, will start to diminish within minutes. So juice and gulp. The exception to this, if air is NOT introduced into your juice, and that's only possible if you have one of those big ole EXPENSIVE juicers that are commonly seen in JUICE stores. Hope this info helps.
