Man this book is insanely popular because of the movie that is coming out on the 23rd.
Jaelyn read this back in 2008 and told me THEN how good it was. Ehhh. I'll pass. I mean she went on and on, and as each book came out I went and got them for her. No biggie. She loves to read.
She has asked me since it came out to read this book. Jaelyn is NOT one that will read a book again once she is finished with it. I can NOT tell you how many times she has read this series.
So with the movie coming out she begggggggggggggggggggged me to read it just as she did so many years ago.
I did.

It really is a very, very good story. I'm ready to start on the 2nd book in the series now.
Feels good to be back to reading...now if my house would clean itself lol.
I have it on my Kindle but I have not read it yet but I will before I see the movie.

I did the same thing! My cousin told me to read it and I stayed up all night to finish the first book. I listened to the rest of the series on audiobook so I could "read" it and do other things like commute, housework, and comb out my locs. :-)
I'm looking forward to the movie.

This book has gotten a lot of press. I assumed it was just another in the series of teen vampire books being that it had the word "Hunger" in it. When I finish Satan's Sisters by Star Jones I'll have to check out The Hunger Games.

Man - I just finished last week. Wow is all I can say. I wasn't hooked initially but about 30 or so pages in it was on! Trying to get the hubby to read it. Not sure if that will happen

I decided to read it after a friend of mine was reading Mockingjay on a trip to Chicago and she seemed so caught up. I bough it on my Nook and I LOVED it. I also read the second one...now I need to buy Mockingjay!
