I got lots if ideas by entering key words in flicker and bing. I have a huge expedit shelf from ikea that I count in and a centrally placed cutting/craft. tabl

Check 2Peas for craft rooms also Pinterest. If you check my pinterest you'll find links to others who've pinned lots of craft rooms.

Be encouraged...

What about having craft stations and dividing the areas up.

I know you don't want white but I'd still stick with a plain color and accent it with a happy color...that way you can change the accents whenever you're tired of that color...as opposed to having to paint again ...no???

I stumbled upon this site but I don't recall if I got the link from you or someone else.

I'm hoping it's NOT from you as it has some really neat ideas that might be right up your alley

Hey Adrienne! I understand your frustration--I want to fix up my craftroom so bad I can taste it! When my mojo kicks in, it goes away quickly because my room isn't organized!

I was going to suggest 2Peas and Pinterest too! I saw this gallery on scrapbook.com

Also, here's a blog that I think is inspiring in crafty spaces:

I hope this helps, and please post pics of your favs and results! =D

Ok Here is what I would do with it. Pale fresh leaf green paint. (Green goes with anything). Varnished wooden floors. (nowhere for pins to hide then poke themselves into feet) Ikea cabinets and a comfortable office-style swivel chair on wheels. Keep it simple. Hope this gives you some ideas!

I would design my actual workspace first( with a window view), then storage area's and also a comfy, but not too comfy chair to sit in and do handwork. Of course there has to be a TV for sewing videos and a radio or stereo for Music! Yellow is always a bright , creative color. Kind of like the Sun!!

Just a few suggestions:

If you can, put a central light with a dimmer in the middle of the room.

Leave the color on the walls neutral or a little warm and add color via the curtains, wall art etc.

Get more shelving on the walls to hold your fabrics, beads, accessories etc.

If you can, put the piano on the shortest wall. This may free up some space and give you a little more room to play with.

Maybe paint your door and put your inspirational board on your door or maybe some hanging shelves?

Get a comfy chair in there with a table big enough for a plate, a cup and a small lamp. (My mom sews, and I am just envisioning her dream craft room!)

Hope some of these ideas help! Also, a couple of blogs with ideas

Hi Adrienne,

Check out this site. This is my go-to when I need inspiration or just want to see some eye-candy. You can pull up "offices" on the link on the right.

Happy searching!

My 2 cents----> Happy colors could be Bright yellow, Tiffany Blue, Lavender, Spring Green,or Poppy. Maybe use four colors of your choice and colorblock?..With white trim. Turn it into a craftroom/WoMan Cave Oasis!!!!! Add a mini Coffee bar, Mini fridge, 19" Flat screen, Chaise lounge - http://www.chaiselounges.com/indoor-chaise-lounges/traditional/2590+2592+4294794511.cfm, and Purify the air and add refreshing and energizing Aromatherapy by filtering in mandarin orange, lemon, and lavender essential oils to keep the mojo going http://www.epurair.com/pdfs/Epurair%20MA1%20Brochure%20EN.pdf ---> Not sure how expensive this is? Just some thoughts!

Try the "Studio" Magazines by Cloth.paper scissors they have some great ideas. I buy their magazines to get ideas for different areas of my home.... It can be found at most fabric stores or bookstores in your area. Online: clothpaperscissors.com
