I'm going to print this out and anonymously give to a co-worker. You do need to post something crafty! Tell your mom she can't continue to buy fabric if she's not going to use it but that if she must continue buying...she can always send it to me because you have too much also! LOL

You've said a MOUTH FULL. I love getting to the age when you begin getting comfortable in your own skin. Glad you've found security in God & yourself. And, I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but the most insecure people are the one's you described above. Anyone's out to change someone and try to hinder one's freedom of being themself is TRULY insecure. I always say, "Do you". Nothing like being true to yourself. Besides differences are BEAUTIFUL. We've got to start recognizing & embracing the differences in others:) Hey I can't try to be like anyone, it's a full time job just trying to be me (giggle)!

Oh gosh, you just brought up some memories! I was hecka cute in my younger days but so dumb. I think I had dummy/scaredycat/kickme tatooed on my forehead. I'd never go back. I am trying not to regret and just accept that it is part of the lesson.

I recently said to a co-worker that I am not afraid of getting older because I look forward to the wisdom. In the last few years I can see that I have grown and the blinders are coming off - slowly but surely.

A thing that's killing my nerves is knowing my daughter is going to grow up and face those things and I can't save her no matter how much I try. In her youth, she is not "able or ready" to comprehend. I know this fully, but still...

I dont always comment but I love reading your non-craft posts. OK Imma shut up now... Oh and where is the shoe post? Thanks :)

:) You are fabulous. I, too, am an Adrienne. Serious. That's my name lol. I can completely relate. You go, girl!

:) ... Yes !!

Woot! Woot! You are on point with this post! This is my favorite: "I don't like it when people try and make other people feel bad because they don't do or like the things that the other one likes. I hate that really."
I absolutely ABHOR people who do this and have recently witnessed snarky, snobby, negative behavior like this on a sewing blog. Needless to say, I stopped following that blog as well as the people who jumped on board in agreement with the negative behavior. Thanks for this post Adrienne!

Oh, I love it!!!

Great post! I know a lot of people who mold themselves to the situations and people they are around.

Inspirational, that is what you are to me!

you do indeed reap what you sow!

Amen. I have been doing some deep thinking lately and the topic of authentic self came to mind. I thought that I was being true to me but certain situations have lead me to believe that I was being pleasing to the other person. The truth does hurt. Anyway, I am learning and I realize the only way to be truly happy is be the person God wants me to be and that is ME. :)
