The New Me

I had someone leave a comment not long ago, saying they love the "new me".

I have to tell y'all, I am BRAND NEW.

I realize how important a relationship with God is. Just like the relationship with my husband, it requires work, and communication.

I don't take it lightly at all.

I no longer do the same things I did, or go the same places I went, or even say the things I said, or watch certain stuff on TV.

Some people have said, uhhh why you gotta be like that? Because I want my reationship to be pure and not tainted. Same with my marriage. I don't just do any ole thing, or treat Tony any ole way.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a relationship with God is so much more than going to church. There has to be daily communication. You need the Word to feed you daily. Can you just eat one meal a week? Just eat dinner on Thursday and don't eat again until next week? You will be sick. Same thing happens spiritually (IMO), you will get sick when you aren't "eating" the Word.

Sure you can't be in the Word ALL DAY EVERYDAY. God does desire us to have life AND to have it more abundantly but don't take that scripture and run with it lol. KNOW the context that it's coming from lol.

That's it for today. This has been sitting in my drafts since JUNE 28 lol. Gotta clear all of these out lol.

I'm not perfect, just striving to be the woman God wants me to be. Keeping my life lined up with the WORD!

Four dresses...

Up first we have Simplicity 2187. While I loved wearing this, next time I'm going to wear it with a wide leather belt instead of this fabric belt and see if I like the way it looks on me. I THOUGHT I did, but seeing it now, uhhhhhhhhhhhh it doesn't look all that flattering. My boobs look huge and I look huge but uhhh ok. Only posting it because I made it and I love my fabric lol.

McCall's 5893. I love this pattern. Seriously. It's quick and easy and gets great results everytime. I bought this one again and one of the last sales because my original pattern is worn out and torn lol.

McCalls 6308. This one was super quick and easy. I wanted something simple (without making the above dress AGAIN lol) to showcase this gorgeous fabric I picked up a few months ago! I think this one did the job lol.

Alright, that's it on the sewing front for right now. I'm so inspired to sew for fall but it's too hot!! lol

This is my favorite picture. Our church had our annual Convention and Tony and I were able to snag a pic with our Presiding Bishop. He seems really personable and down to earth. I love that. His wife is BEAUTIFUL. Just classy. Didn't get a picture of her though.

Hump Day Ramblings

• I'm finally doing a blog post and it's taking FOREVER for my pics to load. What is up with that?

• Aj has a fever.

• I don't feel well.

• School is in. Germs will NOT come in here.

• God is so good to me.

• SPeaking of "SO" I need to "SEW" lol. Get it? LOL Corny I know lol

• Toya has changed my life lol.

• My hair is in a bun....UNTIL. I need some cute hair accessories. Anyone see any around internet land? 

• Aj's class has 10 students. LOVE private school. Praying this is a better year for him. It's his 2nd year in private school.

• I STILL love my G2. That is SO odd for me. I've had this phone ALMOST ONE YEAR! OMG lol.

• I should have my new camera soon.

• I need to be asleep.

• I want a hamburger. Jaelyn made some earlier that were really good. It's just uhhh too late to be cooking one lol. Not to mention eating it lol.

• I drink a LOT of water every day.

• I recognized this girls dress as a Vogue pattern.

• Too bad it LOOKED like she made it. NOT a good thing.

• I REALLY want to get back into my scrapbooking. Guess I need to stop talking about it and BE about it.

• I also forgot how much fun it was to Skype lol.

• I'm thankful God has placed this certain person in my life. She is a true blessing. I'm so cautious of people I let in and people I get close too. I've been on both sides of being done wrong and doing someone wrong so now I make sure I"m going to be a blessing. Just thankful for her :)

• Typepad is taking FOREVER to load these pics. I KNOW I changed the image size.

• Jaelyn is already planning her sweet 16. We are actually starting kinda late, but I think it's going to be a fun time.

• Can't BELIEVE she will be 16 soon.

• Tony and I STILL haven't decided on an anniversary trip yet. *Sigh* We need to get the ball moving. Wanna do something extra special this year for our 15th anniversary.

Ok, well maybe not THAT extreme BUT lol, anyone who has been reading my blog for ANY length of time, I've talked about wanting to have kitchen remodeled. We've been in our house now ten years. The kitchen is the ORIGINAL kitchen that was put in this house in the 70's....

Isn't that horrible lol. I HATED my kitchen. I used it, but you know lol.
