Ha!

My mantra has always been: Don't force yourself to finish a book just because you think you have to. (Same with food or a movie or people. If they aren't good, move on!)

Don't you just hate a bad book, especially if it's by one of your favorite Authors, I try to give mine at least one pass everybody misses but I really hate a good book with a bad ending ARGH! I have one to recommend it's Bring on the Blessings by Beverly Jenkins, let me know what you think if you read it or if you've read it already.

One more The Darkest Child by Deloris Phillips, not a happy, happy feel good book but still a really good book.

OMG!!!! Yes it DID. It was painful.

I'd like to recommend The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I enjoyed it very much.

LOL. thats funny. Oh and I agree with Tanya. "The Darkest Child" is a VERY good book. The mother is craaazzy. I dont even have kids and I was pissed. Good book though.

Why is it on the floor? Is that where you threw it? LOL!

Too funny!!! I some times try and force it, so good for you for knowing when to say WHEN!!

I haven't heard of this book. Maybe that's why. LOL.

I am a little late with my thought but "The Darkest Child" VERY good book. The funny thing was I had the book for almost a year before I read it. You will enjoy and yes the mother was off the hook.

I read this - it doesn't get better - but the ending works. The second last Nevada Barr pissed me off too - the one about the wolf study on Isle Royale. The author mentions roughly 100 times that the genset is shut off at night but then in the "heat of the battle" GETS ON THE COMPUTER AND SENDS AN E-MAIL! AAAGH!
