Dear Adrienne, I tried to enjoy your post but once I read "shitterlings", I giggled non-stop for nearly ten minutes. LOL. Anything else was lost on me after that point! LOL

I am over here crying laughing cause once I looked at the first pic I said to myself: those are chitlins! LOL. Then, you beat me to it after I read the caption underneath. You got lucky this time. LOL.
Your dad is a man after my own heart - I am always the first to start eating. I don't want to chat, I don't want to reminisce, I don't want to play like I'm not hungry...
Just tell me where the PLATES are!

Ok, I'm stumped. What the heck are chitlins??? As an Australian, that's something I haven't come accross - not unless they are called a different name over here!

Girl, don't hate on the shitterlings. I once tried to pretend that I don't eat those anymore. That once I found out what they REALLY were, that I couldn't bring myself to eat them. Well, my mom made a pot and I was first in line. There goes my boycott. lol.

Looked upon wikipedia as to what chitterlins are - that's sooooo gross and sounds revolting!!! Nope, wouldn't touch them with a barge pole! I don't know if they're eaten over here. My Mil enjoys lambs fry and tripe and all those types of foods and she knows not to dish it up to DH and I (gag!).
Glad that you all had a lovely Thanksgiving.

My grandparents were from Oklahoma and Arkansas and ate some um, interesting stuff now and again. I wouldn't be surprised if chitlins were on that list. :P Glad you had a good Thanksgiving!!

It looks like everyone had a great time and that's what it's about, enjoying each other. I'm laughing at the guys playing the video game because they REALLY get into it.
Zanete's bday dinner looked fun too.
I meant to comment yesterday but got sidetracked by Typepad's "you might also like" features, lol.

We eat from paper plates too. There seem to be just to many people and folks come at different times during the late afternoon and evening. I dream of one day having a fancy sit down Thanksgiving with MY family. Before I leave earth maybe.
