At least your sewing machine looks like it is totally intact. FINALLY got mine out to do a quick mend and found out that a major part of it is not with me. I am missing the attachment that holds the foot, UGH. Not something I can make it work without.
Thank goodness I can pick it up when I am home this week.
Enjoy your yummy fabric and your intro into quilting.

Hey Lady. Thanks for commenting on my blog. I'm loving you scrap space. I think the larger cubes from Hobby Lobby are going to be the most cost effective since I can use my coupons to get them. I'm going to use those for patterned paper. Love you blog and the sewing/quilting posts.

Great start...This will probably help you...
Before machine quilting try pinning(curved safety pins) or thread basting your top-batting-bottom ....this will keep your fabric even and prevent a major shifting of the 3 pieces...it also will remove some of the puffiness in your quilt. I use the Warm and Natural batting, it works well for me. It can be found at most fabric stores....(Hancock? Joann's yes) Binding the edges should be done after the quilting....
Happy Quilting...Trina
