Another one I made during the holidays. This is THE BEST CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE EVER! My mom raved and raved and raved about this one. Said it tasted JUST like the one Ma'phine (my great aunts name was Josephine) used to make. ANYTHING you make that tastes ANYTHING like what Ma'phine used to make is off da chains! LOL
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 3 cups white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups cake flour
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease one 10 inch tube pan.
- Cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light. Stir in the vanilla and the almond extracts. Add the flour and the eggs alternately, beginning and ending with the flour. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Toodles!

What!! Another one!! YUMMM!!!!! Thanks girl!! keep em coming!!!

This sounds *amazing* and of course I'm going to have to try it. (adding real unsalted butter to the shopping list...) Rather than complain about the weight this will certainly make me gain, I'll say thank you to you for giving me the need to sew more (larger) clothes. :-)

I'm totally going to try this. As an FYI, when I first bought my giant cupcake pan, I was told that pound cake recipes work really well in them. Just make sure you put half the batter in each side by measuring it. My oldest daughter and I make cupcakes on Mondays and I think I'll use this recipe and the giant cupcake pan for this coming Monday.

This is the best poundcake ever! A real old fashioned like grandma used to serve poundcake. This cake was incredibly moist, had that crumb factor you could see as you sliced it, and was melt in your mouth delicious! Unbelievable. Thank you so much for sharing this one. I will never let this recipe go!

what kind of cake flour did you use? Is it with baking powder or none? It looks so good and i would like to try it.
