I am a SUCKER when it comes to new patterns. I will be the first to admit it.
I LOVE all the possibilities! The excitement lol. Ok...I'm trippen. ANYWAY.....here are the ones I like. Now granted I might not make all of them but they sure will be great additions to my already HUGE pattern stash! LOL
B5213- This is SOOOOO cute to me. View C! I just LOVE that!!!
B5314- I can TOTALLy see this on me. Love View B
B5316- I love view A. I also have a floral print that this will be STUNNING in!
B5317- If this does not SCREAM summer dress!?!? I LOVE THIS!
**side note, I am SO glad I still have the shape and I am not "too old or too old looking" to wear some of these styles. My mom looked at these and said they were cute but some were a little too young for her. I respect the fact that she dresses her age. MORE women need to do that. side note over lol**
B5320- I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that I LOVE ruffles but I SO love this dress!!! View A. LOVE IT!
B5328- Y'all know I love a wrap ANYTHING lol.
B5335- This has SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! I wouldn't mind doing this in the same colors!!! LOL
Ok, that was fun lol. Now I can FINALLY finalize my spring/summer plan! I am already halfway there!! I also have to show you guys what I am planning on sewing for the kids AND Tony!! *gasp* LOL
Which ones did you guys like?

I like all of them! I really need to stop being scared of the sewing machine I bought.

Lovin' all the patterns. Seeing those have made me yearn for spring, not to mention the gloomy weather we have had here. I am definitely lookin' forward to wearing sundresses and looks like you will be making quite a few!!!!

I think B5314 is going to be the power seller out of the new collection. Haven't heard anyone yet say that they don't like that one!

Oh my...as usual so much to sew and so little time..sigh

I love 5320, but I can only dream of the day I'll be able to sew this. 5314 is more doable for me I have been looking for a nice sheath dress pattern.

I am loving everything. Especially the first one. That screams a night out with the hubby at a spring concert. Who you are gonna look HAWT in those outfits.
Um, can your mom talk to my mom about dressing her age. Ugh.

Good Morning Ladies
I LOVE the following B5314, B5316, B5317 and B5328. I just may have to add these to my list for the next field trip to Joann's.

Hancock's has a sale on Butterick this weekend. Should we place bets on whether they have them or not? LOL

I thought the same thing about 5335 - making it in the same colors. Bummed because these were just on sale at JoAnn's :(

We picked a lot of the same patterns. I am looking forward to Joann's next Butterick sale so I can stock up on the new patterns.

You have the best taste in patterns! I ordered the one from last week you suggested, but did not buy the membership! Now I see 2 that I want and need to go all out...

I just read a book about Jackie O's style during her first lady years. 5314 is so classic Jackie O!!! Very cute!

I am a bit surprised that there are only maybe 3 or 4 that I don't plan on getting. The question is when are they going to be available at Hancocks and Joanns.
Posted by: Shawn | January 29, 2009 at 03:38 PM
Of your picks, my fave is 5314. I'm partial to the retro look.
Posted by: MissMasala5 | January 29, 2009 at 03:59 PM
I LOVE the 2nd and 3rd patterns. They're so deliciously vintage! You do know that you need to open a business on etsy or something...*lol*
Oh hey, which fabric did you pic for that shirt? The yellow linen? *hint hint hint*

You picked some of my faves. I will be hitting Hancock's tomorrow to see what I can see!!
Posted by: TRACY | January 30, 2009 at 11:17 AM
I am so with you on 5314 and 5313. I saw those on another sewing blog and fell in love immediately. It's really disgraceful that I haven't sewn anything in like 8 months.
I am also with you on dressing your age! Everyone tells me I look young, so I still get away with some stuff that maybe a 33 year old shouldn't wear, but I just can't get comfortable anymore in a tiny mini skirt/dress. I can't believe the stuff I used to wear!
