Hi guys!!! Did you all have a good day yesterday? I sure did. I am back to my photography sessions full swing! And when I say full swing...I mean JUST that! I took some time off to take care of myself last year and all my clients were very understanding, but now I am BACK lol. LOVE IT!!!
Ok, here is my top that I finished. It is Butterick 4920
I love how my top came out!! I can't wait to rock it!! You can read a full review here.
I did some scrapping over the weekend. I can't show all the LO's JUST yet, but here is one I did for the store
I had mixed feelings about this LO but I LOVE it now! It is one of my favorites!!!
A couple of detail shots...
and...
I am SERIOUSLY having a love affair with butterflies...REALLY I AM. I was showing this to my friend as I scrapped it and she was asking how I did the butterflies, so I took some pics of how I accomplished the look. NOTHING major but here goes:
Gather your products:
(I don't normally keep hairspray here because I don't use it, but I got this free and kept it)
I THOUGHT I took a pic of the HS chipboard butterflies, and toothpicks, but ummm I guess not lol. So gather those things lol.
Take your butterfly and place it on a paper plate or some sort of protective surface... I hold mine down with a toothpick because I don't like stuff on my nails.
Then take your crackle paint and brush it across the butterfly.
Take your glitter and sprinkle till your heart is content
Be sure you remove all kids and pets from the area.....they don't mix well with glitter....ask me how I know...
MOVE the butterfly from the spot where you painted...
If you don't you will have a hard time trying to get it up once it is dry...and you get paint under your nails..I HATE that!
Then spray with the hair spray to keep the glitter from falling off. Works like a charm!
And that's it! LOL.. Not hard at all!
Ok, that's it for me today! Have a great day guys!!
Toodles!!!

Love that fabric! You will post a pic of it on, right?

Love the top and can't wait to see you "rock it" LOL! Thanks for the toothpick tip. I use some old tweezers, but the toothpick can be thrown away and doesn't have to be cleaned. And don't you just LOVE the MS glitter?!

The hair spray technique is a neat idea! You are so resourceful. Enjoy your butterfly obsession. It's a good one to have! :)

Beautiful Butterflies!! I read bacl a few posts too about the crazy woman who made the SAHM comments, and yep, people think you have tons of free time... um, no. I sneak on the computer a few times a day, scrap at night when I am not doing laundry preparing meals for the next day, or cleaning up... yeah, tons of free time!!! LOL.

Cute top. Can't wait to see the pic of you wearing it. If I keep visiting, I may just take the plunge and sew something. That will probably be the day the world stops, but hey it could happen, right :-)

Man, your top is soooo gorgeous! You did a great job. They should definitely hire you at Butterick... Their own pictures never do ANYTHING for me. Yours always looks so much classier and more glamour than theirs!
