Happy Birthday to my baby!!! My baby is SIX!!! It seems as if this was just yesterday:

He is NO longer a baby...but very much a big boy!!
I remember his first hair cut....
*sigh* lol
All this sweetness:
Just VANISHES....and then he is:
LOL, one of my all time favorite LO's of Aj! This is my baby ALL the time! Just off the chains! LOL
And one of his most recent pictures, from one day....lol not long ago lol
See, off the chains. More on this day later. lol....
Now for the HEALTH UPDATE.
I'm going to try and condense this lol.
I have been going to the doctor every three months for almost two years now. My last appointment was
in August and everything was fine. It's very common for women to have abnormal pap smears. I was one of those women. They would always come back crazy, so I had to go get checked every three months. NOT FUN. I hated going YEARLY....so..umm yeah! LOL. Anyway, They did my pap smear, sent it off, I went home. They called me on Nov 2 (my 30th bday) and told me it came back crazy and I
needed to go back on the following Monday (Nov 5) to have a biopsy done. They called me once again on the 7th and told me I needed to meet with the oncologist. ONCOLOGIST = CANCER
That was so not what I wanted to hear. They did diagnose me with Cervical Cancer, and said it would be in my best interest to go ahead and have surgery to remove the cells. We did that on Friday. Right now I feel really good. They DID remove all the cells. I go back next week for another checkup, then every three weeks to get checked. In the event that it does return, then I will have to have a full hysto. I SO do not want that, but if I have to, then so be it. We did not tell the kids. No need to worry them right now. So you may be asking, why in the world are you putting your business out there like that?
WELL BECAUSE I KNOW HOW EASY IT IS TO BRUSH OFF YOUR ANNUAL APPOINTMENT. KEEP IT!!!!!!!
What if I had put mine off? What if I had to wait an entire year? Keep your appointments guys.
So that is it guys. I will try and get caught up on my emails today. Thanks for everything! See ya'll later!
OH, to add a little laughter, how about a picture of me a few years ago, after I had my wisdom teeth pulled...HA! LOL
TOODLES!!!!

First off, happy birthday to your wonderful, crazy son! What a blessing!
Adrienne, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I have no doubt you'll be a rock steady wife, mother and woman during this time, but your friends (both personal and internet) will be right there behind you when you need us. This is a very powerful reminder about staying on top of those appointments. I just scheduled my annual last week because I got the nagging mammogram reminder in the mail.
Be strong!!

Happy B-day to your little man!
I am so glad everything worked out for the best and pray that it does not come back. I get my PAP religiously, even when the doctor says you can skip a year if everything is normal(once you get to a certain age). Since I am only 33, I feel the need to get it yearly.I don't play the SKIP anything!

Happy Birthday to little AJ! He is a character and a cutie pie!
I am in the same boat as you with the cervical cancer. I had the scare some years back. I now get checked annually.
I also have serious mammogram issues too! I always have to go back and get an ultrasound. They are never clear! I have very dense tissue that makes it hard to get a good reading. But I take it in stride and make my appointments. You are right. Better safe than sorry!
Sending you lots of prayers and well wishes!
Posted by: Cassandra | November 12, 2007 at 09:10 AM
Girl, you know the Lord blesses us in order to bless others. You being on top of your game will be a wake up call for others. I know you will get past this and the cancer will not progress. That is my prayer for you. I had a hysto 3 years ago for fibroids. You, my love, will not have to go that far. I love you and my prayers are always answered so consider it done!
Happy Birthday AJ!

I'm glad that you kept YOUR appointments! Thank God it was caught early and that all of the cells were removed. You will be in my prayers. Stay strong and thanks for the reminder to keep our appointments.
Happy B-Day to AJ!

You have my good wishes - I'll be thinking positive thoughts for ya!
And thank you for putting the advice out there. Keep on doin' it.
None of us like those darned yearlies. But, they are certainly better than the alternative.

My prayers are with you. I scheduled my yearly last month. I missed going when I should have earlier this year. Your sharing was very personal and it is good you chose to share the importance of keeping annual exams.

Adrienne! I am sorry to hear all this, but super glad they caught it early. I HATE doctors visits, period. My pulse raises as soon as I set foot in the door, but I do go every 6 months to the gyn! Good luck with everything and I hope it all turns out ok! This is why it is important to always enjoy every moment and always tell the people you love how you feel about them! Take care of yourself!

You have the most positive and upbeat attitude of anyone I know Adrienne. You inspire me!
First of all, happy birthday to your cutie. He is adorable, and I love vintage scrapbook pages.
The wisdom teeth picture is hilarious, and you are not looking too happy in that photo. Remember my post about that?? Harharhar. Hilarious, but not till after the fact.
Hugs and prayers for health to be perfect!
Love,
Katie

Wish AJ a Happy Birthday for me and I'm glad you're doing ok and stuck with your check ups. I've been brushing mine off and was just thinking the other day that I need to find a doctor and get back in the swing of things. I'm praying for you and your family. Take care of yourself and get some rest.
Peace and Blessings

How is it possible you have an 11 and 6 year old when you hardly look a day over 21 yourself?! Happy B-day to the young-un, he's a real cutie. I am so happy to hear that you are doing better! Very scary stuff you are dealing with but what with all the support this online community is sending, take heart and know you are loved! Stay healthy and rested.

Happy Birthday, little AJ! I didn't know he and Jayla were THIS close in age. She'll be 6 next Tuesday.
Adrienne, how brave of you to share your personal life with us. I know you share things about yourself and your family all the time. But this is way different. I applaud your strength. I too have had one of those "crazy" PAP's. And you're right, women experience those all the time. And having to keep going to the doc is NOT fun!! But, just like you said, it's better to be safe than sorry. Of all the appts women have to keep up with, those OB/GYN appts are THE most important. And when you come of age, usually 40, those mamms need to be kept too. A MUST!!!
I pray that all is and will be well with you. Continue to keep your head and your spirts up. You've got TONS of support out here...remember that.
And speaking of remembering, I DO remember that picture of you after going to the dentist...LOL!!!
Take care, my friend.

I hate cancer with a passion and hate to see one of my girls (yes, I know I don't KNOW you, but I'm STILL claiming you as one of "my girls) has to deal with it.
Of course I'm praying for you like everyone else. Take Care of yourself, and keep getting checked.
Happy birthday little one!
